@ajochems

I have been using the new CasinoCoin wallet for several days now, and it is so far so good. Like the way how CSC is heading to.
There is one question though, how do I run a full CasinoCoin node to support network? Also, once I have set it up, where I see the ip address of the node for other users to connect to using the addnode command?  Smiley

The main thing that has kept me away from this coin are the exchanges. Cryptsy is simply the worst and i would not trust them ever.
I really hope the coin gets to Polo or Bittrex soon. Even YoBit is better than cryptsy.
Once it gets to any exchange ill come and get some Smiley
I added Alterdice to the wallet exchanges just a few hours ago. Now its just a matter of moving trades over to other exchanges as well. So now we have 3 (AlcurEX, Alterdice and Cryptsy). If you do not trust Cryptsy move over to one of the other exchanges. I also know of at least 1 more dedicated CSC exchange that tries to get online within the next few weeks.

Bittrex and Poloniex are difficult cases. Bittrex statement says "Note that we cannot list currencies where its primary purpose is to support gambling", as if Bitcoin is not used for gambling. YoBit was paid to list CSC but they did not add it. Anyway either the exchanges do not want CSC because of their own stupid rules or they ask money to be listed, ... in both cases we will not pursue to be listed anymore. There are now 3 exchanges and more to come so i think that is no longer an issue anymore. Also, ... any exchange that will add CSC and has a decent API will be added to the wallet free of charge.

Ah ok, thank you for clearing that up for me Smiley It looks like you have gone through a rough patch lately , i hope its only up from here.
I would support moving the exchange to Alterdice, i hope they prove to be trustworthy (they have been so far)

Good to hear.

Gamingcoins, are you guys also arranging a press release about the CasinoCoin affiliate program when you're announcing it?

BTW, a recent article in an Italian magazine briefly mentioned Casinocoin:
http://www.vita.it/it/article/2015/11/24/terrorismo-e-cyber-riciclaggio-i-rischi-del-gioco-dazzardo-online/137521/

Just interesting that they only mentioned Bitcoin and Casinocoin in relation to online gambling and money laundering/cyber-terrorism.

I used the installer. How can I check the permissions? I tried running the installer and application as an administrator.

Thanks!
Hi,
It looks like your wallet is not having/creating any data. Could be a permissions issue. Did/does the old wallet work on the same system?  Can you do the following:
- close the wallet
- delete your debug.log file from your data directory, usually in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\CasinoCoin
- start the wallet
- check the debug.log file if the wallet starts and is syncing

If the wallet can not sync due to firewall or filesystem permissions you will see that behaviour. You can try and start the wallet from the command line with the property '-datadir=c:\temp\csc-data' where you replace the value to a location you have sufficient rights.

Everything was/is syncing properly. Old wallet was working fine as well. The only issue is the graphics do not appear.

Do you need any other logs to help solve the graphics issue? Thanks
Hi.
This all sounds to be more like QtQuick issue rather than anything permission-related. Good news is that i have just tried running Wallet installed via installer and it does not show Qml controls as well! (my machine is a virtual machine with win7) Bad news so far is that i dunno how to resolve the issue but stay tuned Wink

Check the data directory. Make sure it exists and the permissions allow your user to access it. Also maybe trying running the install as administrator.

Gamingcoins gave an explanation about the program a while ago.

I will leave you with this image,

a) If I hand you a card with Bitcoin on it - what will you do with it without knowing what Bitcoin is?
b) If I hand you a card with Casinocoin on it - what will you do with it, probably believe you can spend it on a casino - agree?

What are our intentions?

1. We intend to have Casinocoin Prypto cards created which will be Casinocoin branded with a value on them.
2. We have 16 FIAT casinos who are willing to accept these cards as deposit options (I will not disclose).
3. The cards will be redeemed by the casinos for a set $amount.
4. The casinos will then redeem the Casioncoins on a 'private exchange' for the $ value in exchange for a 10% affiliate fee.

So as you can see we are going to use Casinocoin as an affiliate and marketing tool for casinos as currently this is what they need.

This is not about blockchain technology, this is about brand awareness and useage for acquisition.

Once Bitcoin and Crypto in general is ready to be adopted the brand will be in a position to be accepted alongside their 'preferred' choice.

This will also motivate Bitcoin casinos to accept Casinocoin alongside.

We will be valuing Casinocoins at 1 coin = $1 on the exchange until such time the price of Casinocoin passes this minimum.

No members of the public will be able to exchange on the service only opt-in casinos.

The Casinos will only be able to redeem Prypto codes for the casinocoin to be exchanged on the service.

This is a 100% brand/affiliate project to raise awareness of casinocoin and bring the price up to $1, without hurting any business during the process.

thanks

Gamingcoins has announced that he has made a deal with 16 casinos to start accepting deposits via prypto.com at a minimum $1 per CSC. He gave some details recently in a post, but I don't know much more than what he posted with regards to the program. I haven't talked to him in a few weeks because I was busy with IRL work for IREX Tokyo, but last I heard everything was moving along.

I don't know official dates or anything, but it would be reasonable that it should be rather soon since he bank rolled our development effort and this was to be a significant milestone to be achieved before CSC would go live on the service. Again, i couldn't say whether it was days or weeks etc. However, we are closer today than we were 6 weeks ago and from what i've seen prypto is established with decent support for a few other currencies. So, I'm a firm believer that gamingcoins plans to follow through and we'll see some really good stuff happening for the coin in the near future.

When they launch, you guys should buy a few cards and try them out. It might help understand the user experience.
