Hey Guys! Cut Mike some slack! Tongue He is right, Factories control pricing. I was on the phone with a Gridseed rep a few weeks ago who wanted to sell them to me for $750 a piece! That alone shows you how greedy some factories are! Factories are the ones getting rich not resellers!

That is exactly right.

Like I said, the original price of the blades was $3000.  Not because it's what they cost, but because it was 10 times the base price... a nice profit for the producers.

If they finally launch Project Prime you will have your ROI guaranteed and insured, so you won't risk anything. But there's no ETA right now, maybe they'll launch next month.

Oh really?  Have you seen specific stats on Project Prime?  Maybe I'm just missing them.  Up until now it's just been a bunch of rumors that "it's the biggest thing to happen to mining".  BFL said that too.  Until Prime is fully exposed to the public, it's still just blind hype.  Smoke and mirrors.

Nothing is guaranteed in crypto except uncertainty.  Anything can change overnight.

Roi is the new keyword

ROI has always been the keyword, mate.  IMO, if you're not making it in 60 days or less, it's better off just buying coin.  I've purchased plenty of equipment in the past and stuck to this rule.  Times I went over, I never ROI'd, and times I was under, I made out like a bandit on the resale and coin profit.

From what I have been told through a friend of a friend that was an original reseller, blades are rock bottom $300.  The initial $3000 price was the 10x base price that Gridseed set.  That's why most of the price drops have been in $300 jumps.  That's why they were at $600 for a longer period recently.  The pricing pattern was similar with the minis, and can be tracked as such.

I could be totally wrong, but if you're looking for the bottom, $300 is probably where it's at.  Of course by then, $300 will probably be a 200 day ROI  Sad

Keep away from this company. Purchased two blades on May 24th. Received the full package on June 3rd. They were extremely noisy but still working anyway. Yesterday, the fan of one of them died, and they are telling me that it's out of warranty. Basically, they assemble the poorest and cheapest fans possible so that it fails just after the warranty. Keep away from them.

Buy a fan for $10 and replace it.

 Roll Eyes

You knew what the warranty was before you bought it.

exactly, they are a re-seller and do not assemble the products.

Unfortunately we do not assemble the products for these blades. What is you order number?

That is up to the manufacturers. We work on small margins and pricing is usually determined by the manufacturer. Smiley.

Yes but you could compensate your customers during the following situation to keep them from feeling 'ripped off':

1. Customer orders $2175 miner + shipping on 6/29
2. Next day - 6/30 no shipping status "Awaiting Fulfillment"
3. Following day - 7/1 price drop of $175.00 announced and posted on site
4. 7/1 several hours after price drop announced, tracking information received.

Doesn't really make me want to come back ZOOMhash for more, despite being a "ZOOM Founder"

Nor have I seen any way to use "Reward Points"

And now most likely due the 4th of July holiday, I won't see this purchase until the week of 7 July

Totally satisfied Michael -- NOT!!

If I'd have received tracking information prior to the price drop, my perspective would be different.

Referencing Order #6439

WOW!

I am impressed!

Zoomhash made this right, and refunded the difference in my order... Honestly, I couldn't ask for more.

I've ordered from them previously and never had any complaints on follow through. So I expect the remainder to go smoothly.

Aside from the delay in shipping I can expect from the 4th of July, I'm going to chalk this one up as an excellent deal. I already have tracking data from the order, but it looks like I probably won't receive my unit until the following week because of the holiday.

Thank you Zoomhash! You could have easily gone the route other resellers have and said, "Tough Luck" but you didn't, and I will certainly keep that fact in mind the next time I'm looking to make a purchase.

Sincerely,
elaramus

well it was he nice he did it for your  order number 6439.  my order number 6450  was not done.

it would need to be adjusted from 890 to 829 for 2 plus shipping  about 60 bucks. oh and ltc dropped just a bit more last nite. from $7.90 to $7.50 today.

This is what they should have originally been priced. Fucking ASIC manufactures...all evil fucking scammers.

Greedy? Definitely.
Evil? Kind of.
Scammers? Probably not.

As a forum member said. This is like spot pricing for gold. Prices go up or down. There is a huge adjustment right now from the dropping LTC prices and increase in difficulty.

Markets are cruel. It sucks for us sometimes too especially when we have to carry inventory...
