probably not. there are so much coins being made today and it is very unpredictable what can happen in the future.
You know that in cryptocurrency , there are alot of competation among tokens and coins in the marketplace, and for this there is one currency who then all and that is bitcoin, because bitcoin is considered so for it is very popular in the cryptoworld and the price value of this coin is the highest among the coins in the market place index of coin
I don't think that one cryptocurrency is a good solution. cryptocurrency world means decentralization and variety of coins so people can choose what they like to use.

I think the purpose of cryptocurrenxies is more than stability, if stability is to be considered then a like of USDT, CORION etc. will be preferable for transaction because of there price stability which gives good effect to it market price. BCC and others can't really be preferred to BTC due to the fact that no one claims the development of BTC, unlike others that have a known developer, this gives them a level of centralization that the public will never look as an as advantage.

The system we are having right now is all that we need, couple of coins being accepted by all will do the work. Bitcoin has for long way performed the role of the leader of all other crypto currencies and at the advancement of more technology it now evidence that some other coins are also doing well so we don't need any other new coin but more acceptability is what we need.

The number of coins will probably be reduced to only essential projects that will be fully integrated into our day-to-day life. In order t be succesfull, these coins will have to be interchangeable between blockchains, this can be done by implementing sidechains that connect with each other to allow for interoperability.
So true! If there will be lots of coins, I think the usability of each coin decreases since there are lots of choices. The investors will invest different coins therefore lesser demands for each of the crypto coins. Where as if there is few coins to choose bigger will be the demand dor each.

No, I don't think so because each and every currency has its own philosophy and it solves the different problem. While predicting something about future, I believe that we will have sector wise coins to deal with the payments of the individual sectors such as medical or food sector might have something called Medicoin or Foodcoin. However, it is true that we won't see the list of cryptocurrencies that we see today, most of them will vanish over the time.
