Yes, but will Verge last long-term? I don't think that anyone can get away with producing no product or making a bad product especially when other products are better. DeepOnion is just getting started, Verge's only advantage is time right now. However, time will end up on our side later.

I own some Verge and I like it for flipping based on hypes (MCaffee) and announcements and stuff.
DeepOnion is the coin I HODL for the long term as I can see it reach the CMC top 10 in 1-2 years.

You're right, like I stated on the D.O forum, I saw the $XVG trading volume and it's crazy high. DeepOnion I feel is a superior product and once the airdrops are finished and listed on a major exchange..WATCH OUT!! (Contingent on more development)

I do think we need more usage of DeepOnion.
Getting DeepOnion accepted on some Darkweb sites will do well for the volume.
I created a post about this on DO community forum, but statement is that the dev/mod team will not actively promote this.
Community members on their own however will be able to set this up.
Anyone here with good connections on Darkweb commerce sites ?

I would love to see DeepOnion and Monero dominate the charts for privacy coins.
