only if u're updating from the old versions or got some sync problems. then u can use the quicksync link to download the latest blockchain.

Same. If you are already running 2.x.x close the wallet then start the new one, nothing else is needed.

Even if that were to happen before the release of DeepSend, however, I think that DeepOnion has much to offer beyond DeepSend. VoteCentral is up and running more than a year now, there are ecommerce plugins to be used as DeepOnion payment options, etc. Not to mention that the news from Europe makes me believe that they're trying to make any cryptocurrencies that aren't issued by governments obsolete, especially ever since they noticed the intentions of Facebook, which means that more regulations are probably coming and the only coins that will remain unaffected are the ones that have the ability to hide the user's activity, as privacy coins do.

I think the altcoins will have a chance to rise and hit bull run soon. I cannot give an exact time but I think bull run will happen.
