i don't own thousands of onions and my weight was 6000 and i staked twice so i think its more a matter of luck also

yes it really is... I do have a couple thousand onions and sometimes I do not stake for days and then I hit 8 stakes in 1 day for example.... also have a look in coin control to see how your blocks are divided.... its better to have 1 block of 250 onions instead of 25 blocks of 10....

Great point - I was talking to a buddy of mine the other evening and basically said the same thing - once things start moving in the right direction we'll be in a much better position than we were a month ago.
