Marketing strategy is literally ''our project will be great, we won't have to reach to the people - they will come to us''. Same with listing DO to decent exchange: ''they (exchanges) will ask US to let them list our project''.
There is no actual marketing except decent graphics and pretending that something is still happening in that area: worthless ''mentions'', pointless attempts to list DO for free on low tier exchanges that usually ends with few dozen votes vs hundreds coming from more consolidated community-wise projects, calling ''community'' to action. Problem is, community is dead, it is handful of people and devs right now, compared to early days when this coin had MASSIVE marketing thanks to signature campaign. Given how things are, I doubt segwit will change things for better,

segwit... sounds good!

And how should they be made aware of DeepOnion? Any Marketing strategy?

South Korea Bans Privacy Coins

Cryptos such as Monero, Zcash and Dash will not be sold on exchanges after March 21, 2021

The South Korean government is banning privacy coins as part of its anti-money-laundering drive.

Coins that add an extra layer of anonymity to transactions, such as Monero, Zcash and Dash, will not be sold at the country’s exchanges after March 21, 2021, CPO Magazine reports.

The Financial Services Commission (FSC) said the frequent use of privacy coins (which it calls “dark coins”) for ransomware attacks and money laundering is the chief reason for the ban.

The new law augments the existing Special Payments Act, a comprehensive crypto regulation act that was passed in March.

“Most mainstream crypto coins, such as bitcoin, are not completely anonymous: at the very least they make public the wallet addresses involved in the transaction as well as the amount. Law enforcement can track these transactions back to crypto exchanges, where the wallet holders can potentially be identified either by the email address they used to register the exchange account or by using personal identification to open it,” explains CPO.


“The privacy coins add a third party process that hides these transaction records, effectively making the parties involved totally anonymous and also making it extremely difficult for law enforcement to track them down.”

It is true that new exchanges are needed so that ONION can be more interested, considering that the current volume is very imprecise because the number of ONION coins is very limited.

DeepOnion is getting more solid and attractive for new big exchanges, once Trezor is fully integrated, new exchanges can start looking for ONION with more interest.

When will be listing to decent exchanges? We are at the beginning of new huge bullrun (like in 2017 - early 2018). But with big exchanges there will be no grow Onion.
