Crazy that I read this thread again after watching this video where a husband and wife goes home from a casino and was almost robbed at gunpoint if it weren't for the awareness of his wife. According to John Correa the host of this show, they have been followed from the casino.

This is the kind of risk you are onto when you go offline casino and most probably these bad guys knew the couple had a sum.
Criminals go where they know money is changing hands frequently, it is because of this that now this market is full of scammers, as they know they can get a lot of money if they happen to deceive a person with a lot of money.

And regular casinos suffer the same problem, since even if you were not this unlucky, there are criminals that are more subtle on their approach and instead they just want to steal a few of your casino chips and then get as far away before you notice it, so anyone that still frequents regular casinos need to be cautious so this does not happen to them.

Kind of scary. Even scarier, it is to think that this is the kind of stuff which commonly takes places in developing countries where gambling is allowed and the police is weak or corrupt. It does not take much to criminals to get into the casino, pretend to be playing and then wait for their victims to earn a lot of money... When the night is over, they basically have easy prey, intoxicated and carrying a lot of cash in the pockets...
Perhaps this is a strong case for people from developing countries to avoid brick and mortar casinos as much as possible and focus on online and crypto casinos, for the own safety and the safety or their friends and family members. Even if someone in that context managed to safely get home from the casino with their money, if the criminals are evil enough and the sum is big enough, they would not doubt to kidnap family and friends of the gambler for the sake of asking for ransom.

Please, let us be careful when we win in public and also let us be careful when comes to who we disclose our winnings. Better safe than sorry.

That's really a tough and life-threatening encounter. Many people have complained about this while playing offline casino. But it's better to sleep in the casino's hotel room if it gets dark, then go the next day. This is one big advantage of online casino over offline casino. Nobody would be aware of you online wins. Unless you open up to them. The offline casino exposes the wins of players and people around celebrate with them. Thereby risking the life of those people to criminal who would want to attack and extort money from them illegally. Also, the location of the casino matters, if the players are not staying close by and would have to travel lonely roads back to their house. It's risky holding whooping amount of money in the vehicle while driving home.

I think the casino would need to divert to paying winners straight to their bank account, instead of cash prize. The risk is getting much, and players may be putting their lives at risk on the name of gambling. It's fine they were lucky they weren't harmed. I like offline casino for one reason, the need to take our wife alongside us and enjoy the evening. It's more like a sight-seeing. The best part of it would be spending the night in the hotel. Don't know if any casino exists with no hotel, except so, the players will need to go home earlier before night. Such fun may not be found in online casino. As we'd still be in our house, they'll be no changes. However, for safety reasons the gamblers would need to play games online, instead.

The couple is not going to be safe anymore. It's not the same anymore now that the guy is in prison. There comes a time when the guy who followed them gets out of the cage, and he or his friends may return to this couple's house to collect their money to get even.

If it happens to me, I wouldn't wait for them to be back I would certainly be preparing with my best ruger and get at least 2 dogs at home.  And from now on just do it online.

My question is do you think the casino itself has something to do with this?
Is it possible that this couple won a huge amount and just called it a day after hitting big and the casino felt like they were not given the chance to win back?

Both online gambling and offline gambling, both have almost the same risks. and if you ask which is safer? What is safer is not to gamble at all, because by not gambling we will avoid all forms of detrimental risks involved in gambling.

However, when talking about safety in gambling, it seems that offline gambling is safer than online gambling. because currently there are probably countless numbers related to the existence of illegal gambling sites. So when we choose to gamble online, we are guided to be more careful in selecting and selecting gambling sites and look for gambling sites that really have official permits. We need to do this to avoid all forms of fraud in online gambling.

does that take it to be risky if not I even prefer to gamble online than to gamble offline nobody will even know what you are doing on your cell phone if not for you and it keeps privacy just like Bitcoin Grin and if I win I will also keep it to myself because of too much attention and that is why I will ever prefer to keep my things private even for security reasons. and does that think gambling is risky that same gambling has helped a lot of people if we are looking at the negative aspects of it we should also. look at the positive aspect of it. some people are built from that same gambling that is risky. and gambling issues are supposed to be personal. I gamble a LOT and I know what gambling has done for me so anybody that does not want to gamble should just leave it alone. if you know how to gamble well in the time of game selection and sports analysis then you will know that gambling is easy and the interesting about me is that I will keep gambling.

Initially you say that physical casinos are safer but you are also aware of the risks of gambling there. I don't like generalizations because not all casinos of each kind are the same. What seems quite sure is that your physical integrity is not at risk if you play online (although I don't think problems at legacy ones are as frequent as we see in movies and series), although unlimited availability can have more negative effects in the psychological side.

The most repeated problem in the physical casino is the owner may have their influence in the final result, even they can favour their own friends and family members. The gambling casino owner may not give the price money to the winner and try to dominate to scam the winning dollars. But the online casino site was worked out by the software. So the gambler will get immediately profit or loss money to the gambler wallet. The gambler should find the good gambling site to get the immediate money to their wallet.Their was some scam gambling site which use to scam the gambler money. The good reputation having gambling site will allow the gambler to make money using their site.

Sure, casinos - a realm where risk dances with chance! Online or offline, the game's the same, yet the rules? Oh, they differ. Online, it's a digital battleground. Hackers, scammers, the usual suspects in the cyber alley. Yes, you're sitting in your comfy chair, but out there in the digital shadows, someone's always lurking, waiting to pounce on your virtual stack of chips. Be vigilant, be smart. It's not just about playing the game; it's about playing it safe

Offline, the threats are, well, more tangible. Walking into a casino with a wad of cash? That's like holding a neon sign saying, "Hey, rob me!" It's not paranoia; it's just plain sense. You've got to be aware, always looking over your shoulder. And let's talk trust. Finding a safe casino is like finding a needle in a haystack. A trusted name? A good sign, but remember, in this high-stakes world, even the mightiest can fall. Business is business, and rivalry? It's the silent player at every table
Yes, as long as we can anticipate the risks so they don't increase, we are still safe when gambling. We can feel the fun in an online or offline casino too. However, I feel that gambling at online casinos is very vulnerable to the various things you mentioned. This really requires serious attention from us so that we can protect our data from hacking or fraud.

We must be able to gamble intelligently by always limiting our gambling activities, whether in online casinos or offline casinos. We cannot assume we are very safe because we don't know what the hackers or scammers will do. And as long as we can take good care of ourselves, we will be safe.

And the same goes if we gamble at offline casinos. We don't need to bring much money to the casino, especially if the distance between home and the casino is far. We don't know who will be the bad guy. And if they find out we brought a lot of money to go gambling, maybe they will rob us and take all our money. So there is no safe place, but we can still be careful to maintain personal safety when gambling, whether in online casinos or offline casinos.

It depends on what you think when the word security is mentioned, as compared to physical casinos, if you were to win a big prize on an online casino it is unlikely you will be mugged as soon as you leave it, since from the beginning you are on the comfort of your own home, something that can be very common on some countries.

However it is true that online casinos and their strict identification policies can leave gamblers in a difficult situation, especially if for some reason their data was stolen by hackers.

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. Online gambling may seem safer than heading to a sketchy casino, but browsing on your phone or laptop comes with its own problems. You gotta fork over a bunch of private info and send in photos of your ID and stuff. And once you hand that stuff over, theres always a chance it could get hacked or stolen if their systems aren't airtight.  So you're trading the risk of getting mugged for possibly having your identity ripped off.  Lose-lose if you ask me!

If we do speak literally about security literally then both sides does have its own level of risks and its something that cant really be removed out and something that would really typical.
It would really be just that impossible that you wont really be able to point out on which one is really that something you dont like and something that you could bare on.
Think off that when the time that you are really that dealing with online gaming and other kind of engagement then hack and exploits could really actually happen and this is something
that you should really be wary of, because if you dont then you are really that putting yourself on such big trouble.
Yes, that is true because online and offline casinos have different risks, but they are still risks. The risk here is both losing money but using different paths. If we come into contact with something online, we have to think about commonplace hacks and exploits.

And when it comes to online casinos, we must consider crimes that can occur anywhere and anytime. If we bring a lot of money to an offline casino, it can also attract the attention of bad people who want to rob us. Each online and offline casino has its risks.

Those used to online casinos must always be careful in choosing the casino. Always choose a trusted casino that has been proven safe. Even though the casino is safe and trustworthy, it cannot always be 100% because this is a business. There will be rivals who don't like it so each casino must pay attention to its security.

I understand what you mean. Online gambling sure is easy to access, but keeping your personal and financial info safe can be tricky.  Land-based casinos have security guards and cameras.  Online ones though? You're kinda trusting that flashy casino site to keep hackers from stealing your money and identity.  It's a risk.  Those sweet bonuses they advertise make you wanna sign up quick, but you gotta wonder if it's legit or if they really care about protecting your data.  Convenience doesnt mean safety.  And, I think people are mistaken when they think gambling from home is more secure than going to a physical casino.

Thank you for this. When you hear about offline gambling from most people, the first thing you hear them saying here is the security as if it is that bad. How many offline casino players have you heard that they waylayed? This is not as common as people make it look here and they are only referring to the old ugly incidents in this regard. That was when the world wasn't like this when people were risking payments with much cash, and even the banks that move cash around are still being threatened and attacked by robbers, so it is not new when it is physical cash. These days, I do not know the casino that will pay a huge amount in any case to a winner. As it is not safe for the bettor, it is not also safe for the casino. The best is to credit him electronically and he will be fine. Even the time they will do the crediting might not be immediate and a few internal people will know about this for safety concerns.

Also, look around you, you will see a lot of casino houses if you are living in an urban area just like me. Till today, I have never heard of such an ugly incident in which robbers attacked a bettor because of his winning even though I knew some that won tens of millions in my local currency. Also, people seldom talk about the hacking of the online casino as a security risk. We hear of more hacking than the robbery of physical winners which makes the allegation of the security of the offline casinos to be ill-conceived, it is not just constructive. For this, gamblers can enjoy the two if they so desire, they can bet online when they do not have the time and urge to go for offline casino betting and don't prefer the physical fun it it. But when they want the extras, I think nothing should stop them from going out and making their betting and have fun.

In fact casino gambling is much safer than online gambling. This is what we call offline gambling. In offline gambling a gambler can physically observe the player and interact with the gaming environment which creates a belief in his mind. However, both offline gambling and online gambling carry serious risks. Responsible gaming with utmost security is crucial.

Regardless of online gambling or physical gambling that requires coming to a casino, actually the safest thing is to be able to manage risk. If gamblers can manage their money well and can calm themselves when they lose, of course the risk of losing more money can definitely be avoided.

  • In some places, gambling is illegal, so engaging in offline gambling carries the risk of getting caught and having all assets confiscated by law enforcement authorities.
It's one of the biggest cons of playing at land based casinos. When you play at a clandestine casino you don't have any guarantees or assurances over fair play and your physical integrity. The games can be completely rigged, since the casino, neither a trusted external party will assure what the house edge and RTP of the machines are. And if you want to complain about something, who will you call? If you argue anything inside a clandestine casino you will be kicked from there. And of course, you will be unable to ask help from the police.

Another consequence of being unable to call the police or ask help from any other authorities is the fact thieves will feel confortable going after you. You become an easy and attractive target for them. Even if you win big inside an illegal casino and are paid right after, your physical integrity is still under risk, as you can be followed on your way back home by thieves from the casino itself or by thieves who were coincidentally playing there on the machine by your side.
Yes, that's the disadvantage when we go to play at the casino. All regulation and control will rest with the casino. Once we decide to play, we have no choice but to follow their rules. And obviously, the casino is open to make money, so the player's loss is almost certain. You may be lucky enough to win some rounds, but overall, very few people are able to leave the casino with money in hand.
In addition, the risks you mentioned often occur when we gamble outside. Obviously, if you win big and hold a large amount of money, you immediately become a target of unscrupulous people who always follow players. In this regard, it is obvious that online gambling is more comfortable and easier to control our winnings, don't you think?
Quote
Moreover, the police itself can be a risk as well. If they invade the clandestine house during an operation, gamblers will be arrested and have to respond in the court. Probably having to pay fines to the government for the wrongdoing. So, besides losing to gambling, they will also have to lose some extra money to the government... That is why it's much better to play at online casinos.
As I mentioned, in some countries, gambling is illegal. So, involving the police in such situations could be much more troublesome than just losing money. Many people might prefer to keep quiet and let things pass instead of getting the police involved in these circumstances

as I have said, in casino gambling there is physical security as well as CCTV camera security, which is of course quite good security, but this does not apply to online gambling, because online gambling tends to be done individually or individually, because With only the cellphone they have, they can play it wherever they want, including places that they feel are comfortable for themselves.

It is true that physical casino gambling seems safer than online gambling, because clearly they will see the existing cameras whose purpose is to monitor every activity of the gamblers in the casino, and with physical security which of course also monitors them. but what I think is that now more people are playing online gambling, because as I said before, also with current technological developments that make everything online and easy. because this also helps many people in many ways, such as work, ordering food, paying bills and others too. therefore casino companies also take advantage of this, so they hold online gambling because they know that everyone currently spends their daily lives most likely using cellphones and internet connections, and they put up bonuses or promotions to attract the interest of many people because this will also making a profit for the casino itself.
and I'm also not saying that online gambling is safer than offline or physical casino gambling.
