Yeah it would be good practice for everyone to just use escrow for every transaction.
But wouldn't there be times when there just isn't anyone available willing to provide escrow services?

How the online sellers are dealing with bad buyers? I am interested in this industry and I would like to ask you how do you cope with bad buyers? I know that the vast majority of you have experience with those kind of people.

It is better not to work with bad customers

Once your in to any kind of business then you will face these kind of people so if it is not very high value item just leave it and move on thinking it is a small loss to you. If you can't take these small losses then business will not be suitable for you.

trust rating, feedback and escrow if combined in a single deal are the best tools for online sellers.
asking them (buyers) to send first is also good  if the online seller already have a good reputation as well

When you provide services or send electronic data and charge for them, you can't face with bad buyers, but if you are selling any kind of physical objects, that need to be shipped you will be faced with a lot of difficulties. Face it there will always be bad buyers as there are many bad sellers.

Much verification, use your common sense, don't accept every payment method. Even if you do your homework well and you screen everything right, someone will screw you over sooner or later. Since Bitcoin is irreversible this still gives scammers little edge. Hope this will change though as industry progresses.

It's a risk they have to take in dealing with that kind of business. They must be prepared to both earn and in misluck loose their money or product. That is just how it goes.

Honestly if you do it right there is almost no risk, obviously nothing is 100% safe but following some guidelines you can definitely be really safe

Quick question guys,

Why do you sell/buy btc apart from exchanges and stuff.. do you make small profits trying to flip them?

trading here can earn you more, because you can charge the occasional +5% on your trading, checks some users that are selling in this forum, the same rule on localbitcoin is applyed

because this cause, better we use escrow at important transaction, my bro

no, you should use escrow on every transaction. just because the amount for the trade is small doesnt mean much, people have scammed on here for a single dollar, and it will happen again.

Few reasons, avoiding fees, charging fees to make a benefit for yourself, it may be easier for someone to buy a huge amount of altcoins in here than on an exchange, of course it would depend on the exchange and the volume of the altcoin, generally i dont think there is any benefit to trade here instead of on exchanges unless yu are trading a really big amount.

Do a research! It all depends of the payment method, reputation of the buyer/seller, if he or she is going first or you are going first.

Just use a common sense and you should be fine, and yes, do not use reversible methods of payment, especially Paypal.

usually i prefer if they go first, if you have a certain position with good different type of trust(having many trust from the same member is seen as abuse for me) from different member, you can ask for that

it's always worked for me
Not all of the users have good reputation and the counter party is willing to go first!

its not wise to always be willing to go first without escrow; people have scammed on this forum for less than a dollar before, and every time escrow circumvented in the trading process, the temptation of a scam always comes up. its better to think of traders as a ticking time bomb, just look at what happened with maidak.

It's not indeed, it's not wise to use escrow without making the proper preparation and asking for the proper information, first of all asking for a signed message from the escrow is a must to prove he is indeed the original owner and he wasn't hacked. I would never trust anyone, not even the most trusted escrows with more than 0.5 bitcoins, even if they sign a message there is still a super slim chance of them being hacked. So if you are doing a trade with big amounts of money i suggest using different escrows and split it.
