I can tell you there are allot of shopps witch accepts bitcoins and they are only growing because lots of people are using the bitcoin right now so why would they not do this kind of shops.

The bitcoin is a nice payment and these days you can make a lot of money with the bitcoin.
I mostly just look on Bitify if they have something nice I buy it, mostly its about digital goods but I think that is also sold in the most cases.

I don't have any knowledge about bitify but base upon the comments of the members here this is really going to be a good encouragement for me to use bitify someday. And I hope other shops are going to accept bitcoins too as long as it is still early for the economy of bitcoin because there are only few people who accepts it.

But as it is right now, merchants won't really feel the need to spend time into looking what Bitcoin is, and to sign up at a service such as BitPay for example. It's too much hassle for them.

eBay is already accepting bitcoin. But you can also try the others suggestion if you can't find the thing that you wanted to buy in eBay. There's a lot of online shop that already accepts bitcoin as a payment if you are going to look some in google.

Many many online shops accept the bitcoin easily, but i know only few sites and also i buy it something, that's why i prefer for you to visit purse.io it, Although it is best for all things which you want to buy. And i don't think that any problem is here to buy on online with your bitcoins.

There are really lots of merchants as of now that do accept bitcoin as a payment and as you said the issues would be about its legitimacy of the said website because as we all know that there are really lots of scam do exist today and its really hard to trust especially bitcoin do make anonymous transaction.
