I wouldn't be surprised if at least 20% of those wallets are lost because they were miners/early adopters around 2009 and 10 000 bitcoins didn't cost a shit back then and they just forgot about it.
I'm not sure about that but I heard that there was one person that managed to earn 5% of Bitcoins. Even people like Bill Gates only earn about 1% of the worlds economy so I don't know what will happen if that person uses those bitcoins.

All these list are pretty interesting to see even considering we have no idea who owns the addresses or how many bitcoins they actually hold total.
the top 1% own 35% of the wealth in america.. so it's comparable to the american economy. 500 is probably more than 1% of bitcoin holders right now.

This is simply a fact of life. There are a few extremely rich people in the world but there are many people with almost nothing.

those 500 and alot more are just the early investors/ semiliate investors wit alot of money, bitcoin was way cheaper when it just started(think about a couple cents each).
