So, what about you coinnext? YOU have launched this thread to figure out the "bad" and "good" exchanges.
Coinnext is selling is exchange and we have no real company behind it.

Exactly,  they made this thread to point out possible scam exchanges but they end up looking suspicious instead.  They have no volume but wants 50 btc for their site and even removed their About Us page, what a joke lol....

I appreciate that because everybody had split on us when we gone live and today, we are a legal company and coinnext is nothing.

I tend to like this idea, but the lack of addressing "shady backroom going-ons" seems to limit its usefulness in my opinion. Frankly, the only surefire way of addressing this issue is not only with public accountability, but with a robust ability to audit these exchanges independently. That said, it's a start (although I'm surprised more people aren't taken aback from your inclusion of BTC-e in the untrusted section).

If anyone else hasn't noticed,  coinnext made this post to point out others as possible scams but failed to even refute any claims against them as a scam.  Coinnext seem to have ran off,  while kingcoiny is actually fighting for their good name.

We'll never give up because our approach has been always fair and we just made some marketing mistakes but now time will show the rest Wink

Bittrex ad and delist on a weekly whim is pretty much the dumbest shortsighted strategy I've seen in an exchange. More supports short term pump n dump, start a new rinse and repeat then adding any longterm value to a real decent coins.

That may be true, but I have no reason to believe that Bittrex will delist HYPER in the near or far future. When they continue to see HYPER progress and gain market volume, they'll keep it listed.

Sorry that wasn't an opening for you to promote your shitcoin  Roll Eyes

It's not a shitcoin and I don't appriciate your arrogance. I have no patients left for those who believe the HYPER is anything but genuine, think whatever you want. It's pretty sad that there's so many scams in the crypto world that every alt coin is considered guilty until proven innocent. The fact that you would just assume it's a scam (nice try deleting your post btw) just lends credence to the idea that anonymity is bad for the crypto community. Forced transparency, not by some regulatory commission, but by the people, is what will keep cryptocurrencies relevent in the professional world. Arrogance, assumptions based on nothing more than a bad taste left by some of the scams in recent history, is not acceptable in a civilized discussion on the potential ramifications of complete transparency of cryptocurrency exchanges. Thanks for wasting five minutes of my life...

Based on your post I decided to take a look at HYPER. What I found was promises to make a space exploration game that uses HYPER as in game currency. The flaw in your plan is that you will pay the developers in HYPER to make the game. Do you have any idea what it takes to make a video game like this? Its going to cost you about a million dollars in salaries and take over a year to complete. Who in their right mind would take a worthless coin as payment on the assumption that it may be worth something in the future? I think the crypto world needs to be much more evolved before anything like this is possible. Maybe in 10 years something like this will work but not right now.

Chances are its a complete lie and a scam to get hype and increase value. Thing is, we don't fall for that anymore. That is why everyone automatically calls it a shitcoin or scamcoin.

The first Alpha will be a simple browser based game where players can build their empire and interact with other players. We have realistic goals, over 10 team members already, and we are finalizing the details of our MMO development roadmap as we speak (with a timeline for dev goals such as: finalizing game engine details, finalizing game mechanics, finalizing adding new features which are required to game engine, finalizing the launch of the simple alpha).

I disagree, something like this will work in 10 years, but it will also work now.

You're entitled to your opinion but I wouldn't call us a shitcoin. Thanks for checking out HYPER Smiley

I don't think they have anything to hide (just my opinion). I think they're most likely busy and working on it.

Exchanges like BTC-e ad Vircurex have no public information whatsoever and have been around for ages.

I still think scam exchanges are a huge problem and when Sharexcoin went down it was a very sad day for a lot of people.

What about kingcoiny?

Coinnext can also be a scam site as well.  Anyone can Google pics and info of someone else,  there's no public links to their personal info to verify they are who they claim to be.  Considering the OP is made by Coinnext,  there's no way to move them off the legit list go figure.

I will be speaking at the upcoming Coinsumm.it Bitcoin conference; scroll down to "Sebastien Mortelmans". Let's meet there?

Just post your and your teams info on your site,  simple task otherwise next you're going to ask everyone to fly into London just to meet you?  Lol. ...easy to say if we were all living in London.  You know exactly what we want but instead you like kingcoiny just do the same thing.

Have you actually been to Coinnext? https://coinnext.com/about has been there since launch.

I've read it and that's why I'm asking for links but you keep refraining to do so.   Even your info doesn't say much such as company names, the only info given was just your names but even that could be fake. I could easily Google pics and say hi I'm max keiser and I'm legit so use my site too.

May I share with you my skipe ID in PM and make a call?
We'll fix soon our statement and we'll show you that we just had a bad launch.

The best,
Ben

Do like bittrex about page and you're golden.

Coinnext has practically the worse about page.  The founders only States their names and built and sold btc start up but never names the company sold to verify or any personal or contact links or info.

Hi guys I'm Max Keiser and as you know I'm trustworthy so you don't need to know any info except for the fact that I'm Max Keiser so go ahead and shower me with crypto.   Don't worry,  I'm legit that's all you need to know.

Insert Google pic.

At least Coinnext have some kind of info on their about page. It could be better but I wouldn't say it's the worst!

Okay that's true,  worse would be kingcoiny,  the About us page says nothing about any of them instead just say spec stuff, but at least the founder is posting links and is offering a revamp.

Coinnext  continues to give nothing,  except keeps telling you to go to the About page,  which is why there's complaints to begin with lol.  Obviously they have something to hide.

There's a new exhange that looks promising,  called alcurex(?), posts public company info id, email, office address,  phone number,  etc.  The founders info isn't listed but is easily attainable via chat and forum.

CEO Bitpanda.com
Yesterday history repeat itself once more. The exchange ShareXcoin went abruptly offline and the owner went MIA, resulting in potential theft of hundreds of coins.. again. We had this before, Vircurex, Cryptorush, coinEX, and recently CoinOpend to just name a few.

And everytime the same reaction, a witch hunt for the alleged owner of said exchange. Apparently this community only cares about who safeguards their coins after that person scams you, this is logic 101 upside down.

This has to stop. No matter which coins you have allegiance with, no matter which exchange you use to trade on, this has to stop now.

If we want cryptocurrencies to move forward and thrive, its foundation has to be firm. Being able to trade your coin, any coin, in a secure and reliable way is a basic need that we can no longer take for granted.

The fact that we accept to trade our coins on exchanges that completely hide their identity behind a nickname on a public message board is undermining the professional growth the cryptocurrency world needs to thrive past this point.
Scamming exchanges are one most damaging things happening to cryptocurrencies. As long as we as a community keep supporting anonymous exchanges, run by some nicknames (no matter their "seniority" cfr. Tradefortress), we allow them the option to simply close down their exchange and run with all our coins.

For this I want to call upon the altcoin community, and DEMAND from your exchange to out themselves in public or CEASE TRADING at their exchange.
This will result in having overall good (with at least the intention to run it professionally) exchanges left, while weeding out the bad ones, the ones that simply do not care about anything but profit, and have zero inclination to help altcoins and this community forward.

Now, some of those anonymous exchanges have some liquidity in certain markets, so I realise the challenge for abandoning those. Yet please understand that we are often times supporting a ticking time-bomb, which potentially will blow up both our coins as the community's reputation.

A list of altcoin exchanges that are currently run by nicknames, and where the community should either demand public outing from or avoid trading on.
If an exchange is listed here, it means it's unclear who operates the exchange, either the people or the company behind it. If this is unintentional, take this as a wake-up call to add proper reference of this information on your site.

- Mcxnow - This exchange has scammed its users before, by pumping its own shares and then suddenly close down out of nowhere. This is just one of the many incidents their anonymous owner gets away with by just being a nickname.

- AllCrypt - No information found.

- BTC-E - People have traced them back to a bunch of holding companies in UK/Europe, but it's setup like a maze and unknown who is behind BTC-E.

- Poloniex - For the well informed it is known a certain "Tristan D’Agosta" is behind the nickname "busoni". Still there is no information on their site. I believe his intentions are good, but his current transparency efforts are just insufficient.

- C-CEX - No information found.

- DGex - Part of a company incorporated in Panama, no further info. This is just insufficient.

- AllCoin - Mention that they are a company, but no further details.

- EuropEx - No information found.

- UseCryptos - No information found.

- Comkort - No information found.

- Coins-e - No information found.

- Swisscex - No information found.

- Palth - No information found.

- Kingcoiny - No information found.

And last but not least, a list of exchanges who operate in a transparent matter, we should only trade on those exchanges:

- Mintpal - Company registration on /about page.

- Bittrex - Founder bios on the /about page

- Coinnext - Founder bios on the /about page

- Atomic-Trade - Company info clearly on their website

- Bleutrade - Founder bios on the /about page

- Swaphole - Company info on their site

- Bter - Company info on their site

- Cryptsy - Company info/Founder info clearly on their website

If I missed an exchange, send me a message and I will update the list accordingly.

I like your intentions! Nice collection.

One point to poloniex: "Poloniex is an LLC organized under the laws of Montana in the United States of America."

You can even check that Wink

i see updated info on post 1 and i can't argue with any of it..
i have come to the same exact conclusions on them all.

and i repeat.. the first step is supporting coin posters who use anonymous persona's as a way to hide.
it leads to tons of lost money and make our scene look bad !
and the people doing it say well i don't care how bad any coin, service, exchange etc is i made of bitcoin off it / them.
THAT has to stop !

provide the stage and they will abuse it.

anyway i came to see about Bittrex..
i noticed the exchange was not loading but based on pages showing up i think they are switching servers etc
Fair enough but i was just there hours ago and some warning about switching hosting services etc would have been nice.

first msg page i seen was Cloudlfare error
then i seen a Microsoft  Azure setup notification.

I know two guys i have talked to on IRC / chat also that started exchanges.
One we all know well.. R3wt and the other guy on IRC couple months ago was giving me links to his test site to check out.
His site was loosely based off of R3wt's code and they knew each other but best i can tell they both mean well enough.. no malicious intentions.
I forgot the name of the one guys site though lol
And R3wt's is well known around here Wink

edit:
and i am not saying Cryptsy is bad but they have a horrible long time reputation of screwing with the site or individual coins or having problems
and not notifying the public in any way.. i have sat on IRC before supporting complainers for 2 straight weeks on a coin i despise before like 2 months back.
while mods popped by 1 time every few days trying to tell people there was no problem..
when it was clear every single person that came in ever couple minutes in IRC said, "where is my Doge deposit ?"
THIS is by no means a one time incident.. i have harped on ALL the staff there about this for almost a year.
They need a massive and severe overhaul of their communication with their customers procedure.
A Twitter feed update once a month and a Blog update ever 2 months is not going to cut it.

So lets talk about accountability 'AND' how some treat people like shit because they think they can get away with it lol
I had a deposit vanish for 12 hrs while arb'ing and i was told the coin was forked and i found no trace of it online anywhere..
i was lied to.. a million stories like that from a million people is not cool !
It is often simply market manipulation most of us believe.

Same crap from BTER i have witnessed too..
on a transfer error msg on mcxnow when i mentioned it to the boss they just called me a liar and banned me.. that was their support lol

edit2:
Bittrex seems to be back up.. down time was short it seems.
