Why did you agree to repay what was owed then? We were not alone in this chatroom, crazyjack and Psybits who are both respected members of this community were present at this time.
The HYPER wallet you provided was NOT finished. The GUI was messed up on it from being compiled incorrectly and the version number was never changed.
The bottom line is, you were hired to do a job and after over month later a refund was requested. You can either pay what you owe or you can face the consequences of your actions.

had ended up reusing the existing hyper codebase with different parameters (back/forth correspondence below):
last successful chain after coinbase generation (sent to cryptodatabase) @ 22032017

cryptodatabase had forgot to enable staking in the client.
the chain had sat stagnant for some time (staking not enabled on node coind); and i did not keep my copy of the wallet open for long after sending coinbase to cryptodatabase.
confirmation the client had been working correctly, fired it up @ 12042017 and immediately started staking (my wallet):

i found out that cryptodatabase had started work with another dev (his perogative, no offense taken) and had received his new codebase; to find he wasnt provided with a windows compile:

cryptodatabase had mentioned his financial motivations for the wallet refresh was due to owning a lot of HYPER; and it had recently been delisted by one exchange. as of now (27th of april, 2017); thecryptochat.net, where this offhand comment was made is currently down so i am unable to grab a screencapture to show this here. this is a big 'tell', so i won't place too much importance on it until i have the chat logs.
i've been a regular of this forum for some years; i'd welcome anyone who ive become friends with to comment here to provide me with some backing, as to being an honest character (being eccentric is not a personality flaw).

I wondered about whether the mooncoin founder had any additional info on this person, but he hasn't been online since 2014.
Obviously, you should always use escrow but a senior member and a dev of a moderately successful coin, you would think that he is trustworthy.

There are others who are aware of what has been happening including the HYPER Board who were present in the conversation as well as Mooncoin_Foundation who has been fully aware of my issues with their developer for a couple weeks now. They will be able to verify that what I say is true.

On March 8, 2017 I hired barrysty1e to do some work for me. This job was to upgrade an old coins source to something newer. After several failed attempts and constant disappearances over the course of a month I fired him and hired someone who could do it.
During the course of this job he would go long periods without contact, taking frequent multi-day 'breaks' on a project with a limited time period. After more than a month I told him that since he didn't complete the job he was hired for I want my money back. After about another week he finally got in contact with me after I contacted the other people he works for and let them know I would open a scam report on him if he didn't repay it.
After the discussion we agreed on a partial payback of 0.2 BTC of the 0.3 BTC I initially sent him to do the job. He agreed to pay back 0.1 BTC within a week and the rest after. It has now been 2 weeks since that agreement and he has ignored my messages even though he is active on these forums.
Do not use barrysty1e for any developer or project work. He has failed to deliver what he was paid to do, ignoring messages, and has made no attempt at all to pay back even a portion of what he owes me.
