Ripple price is going down for a year. And i dont think that this will be changed
I heard a lot of talk about the rise of xrp this year but few can say anything sensible before it. If you see a perspective in xrp, then add it to your portfolio and just watch. Personally I currently adhere to bitcoin, although I also have xrp available.
That is because it is more on prediction, those kinds of talks are just talks without analyzing the flow of the market. It is more on having high expectation to xrp due to their own reasons.

Its hard to trust on those website saying that this coins will not increase, this coins will boom. Because sometimes they don't gather enough knowledge about this and they are only basing on some not accurate reports. Although I am not much of a fan, xrp is at the top of the appropriate altcoins to invest. The current price is very low, and this is one of the biggest reasons to pump its price when there is an increase. At the same time look at other top altcoins as well. If you are asking me using the question in the title, I would say yes of course. Ripple is one altcoin that is trusted by so many in the crypto community. It has achieved so many things, created so many partnerships, etc. But if you are going to consider the possibility that XRP will reach $3-$5 as a reason for you to invest on it, then don't invest. It is not going to reach even $2 within this year.
i upvote your opinion, it is true that XRP is still best on reaching many opportunities with many partnerships. But it lacks an effect on its price ( based on 2018 - 2019 performance ).
But IF ( big if ) BTC keeps bullish at this year (2020) soon every altcoin which traded by many people can get their piece of pie which naturally will be good for all investors. As per i have seen at these early days of this month ( January 2020 ) the price of alts vs fiat still on same effect as BTC. Hopefully it not changing for a while since i trading on alts too.
there was a petition to make XRP official cryptocurrency of Tokyo Olympics, do not know how this turned out, but if XRP is promoted on the Olympics, that will have influence on adoption and price

Ripple is 3rd largest coin. Right now it stands after bitcoin and ethereum. Cryptocurrencies are volatile and u never know what will happen in next minute. Ripple is best option to invest in.
XRP is on $ 0.2 now, so it needs more than 15x to reach $ 3. it is not small pump amount
in the ATH of XRP, it was around $ 3, that happened when crypto was on super bullish
many people trusted in crypto so they invest so much in crypto

Xrp is one of the sleeping dragons in crypto space that I know of, it has it's potential even when it's a centralized coin and I believe it's on of the reasons why it will do better in near future, just invest what you can afford to lose and add other coins like ETH and BTC to your list too
True, but I look more at the top 5 good altcoins, including XRP as well because I also believe that in the near future XRP will be better in price, so for investment options in the short term is very suitable. 
I don't want to expect too much on the ripple that will touch the price of 3-5$ at the end of 2020, because when the bullrun occurs in 2017 many predictions say if the ripple number touches that price. But ripple is indeed worthy of being made an investment other than bitcoin.
It still difficult to touch $3-$5 at the end of 2020, but maybe ripple can touch $1. But as we know that in the crypto world, everything can be possible, especially if there is a massive buying from the people, and many people in out there have an interest in ripple. That can push the price to increase, and who knows, we will see a big change for ripple, and that means the price will be increased at a high rate. Meanwhile, we can prepare ourselves for that time so we can be ready.

Ripple is one of the top 3 crypto available at the moment and is ETH's closest rival, I personally am not very sure about xrp because I personally have never invested in centralized altcoin that is very young to be manipulated.
It is true that every crypto has advantages and disadvantages but instead of investing in xrp I prefer NEO or EOS.

There are a few independent authors. So any article relating to cryptocurrency is not objective. So generally I do not support anything based on opinion of a particular person. I do not believe in ripple as it is just full of hypes. Rather I say Ethereum and Binance coin are the most investment worthy coins other than bitcoin.
XRP is similar like LTC in 2019, slow movement and stable in volume. If this become indicator to say best investment opportunity of 2020 I don't think so. Ripple will stay stagnant just like 2019. They release powerful news about the progress with some bank in Europa and event in Turkey. Every developer did that but they will release news with truth information, ripple is more like pushing too hard. I don't like it but still use it for withdraw process only not for investment.
in my opinion at the end of 2020, Ripple probably won't touch the price of $ 5. My prediction Riplle can only reach prices in the range of $ 2- $ 3. Riplle is actually not a bad choice if you want to invest your money in it, but it's important for You to always be patient that investing with crypto cannot be rich overnight. all need time.
Even though Ripple is one of the best altcoins so far, I'm not interested in having it on the grounds that altcoin is currently still in a bad state.

The problem is the price of Ripple is having a hard time to rise up that is why I am on the verge of investing and not investing into it. For me, bitcoin is still the best investment among all other coins. Even though sometimes its price goes really down it is still can recover much more faster than these coins.
I agree with your opinion. maybe XRP is a good investment, it's just that since the beginning of 2019, XRP does not have an increase like bitcoin, or coin Binance. although many think that XRP will return to its peak, but I prefer to focus on bitcoin compared to XRP, or other coins. 
If we draw a chart given by XRP ATH, it can be obtained in early 2018, after that the price has dropped again but has strengthened again in early 2019, so whether for the beginning of this year, the movement will be the same as the last 2 years, XRP momentum is always at the beginning of the month. so there is no harm in saving at a low price at this time because it is likely to touch ATH prices again at the end of this year.
