your understanding was quite good, regard being new in the forum totally your understanding almost perfect perhaps because of your own study in the crypto but blockchain was only supporting transaction only with bitcoin other crypto have their own blockchain some based on ether blockchain in short alt coin.

For the music world, blockchain can also be used to store all data for proprietary rights and copyrights of artwork. It is intended to prevent the pelagiat for any registered artwork and to strengthen the existing data.

it could be uses in business to check whether the task is been done or not and it could be use in medical too. After all blockchain could be use in many things and it depends on what purpose you use it in.

For example, national defense, banking, supply chain, healthcare, voting, food traceability, cars industry, ID verification, land property, ORM and so on... Keep in mind we have not explored every field but you can think that almost every domain can make use of the blockchain tech at some point

Blockchain, putting it simply, is a database. There's already a lot of research developments concerning blockchain out there. To my knowledge, I think the most famous one is applying it to smart grids. And just recently this May, Microsoft and Amazon announces they're adding blockchain to their cloud computing services.

You should follow IEEE Blockchain and also other blockchain conferences if you want to learn more about it.
