That one na common problem for everywhere and people like that always claim to be smart cause they love what they're doing by punishing others, why Nigeria still dey suffer from common problem an because some people dey greedy and e dey affect the citizens, just like the keke and taxi issue you mentioned those taxi driver fit use the price of fuel cover up and people go still believe, for example we dey suffer for transportation issue just because some people are just too greedy and selfish, during president Tinubu speech and he made a speech about fuel subsidy removal I no know if some people observe just after the speech the price of fuel surplus that day till date, I don't know what's their motive and intention but the citizens are really suffering in terms of transportation, still on the gas generation now the price of gas don increase, same thing for market and customers dey face the consequence when that particular product no dey market and na only one person get that product the price go increase, I will judge them as greedy people.

You see for this country so, Na man dey do man and e no go better if we continue like this. Another sector na food stuffs, everyday na so the price dey increase for goods wey dey store since for shop, like we Nigerians na him dey do ourselves.

This kind opportunity is everywhere and is not the fault of the people using the opportunity to collect money from the passenger but because the government refuse to carry out their responsibility to make life easy for the citizens. If am in their shoes, I will do the same thing to use the opportunity to make money from the passenger because, government suppose consider the situation first before banned Keke from the area because there are some places the taxes cannot reach right now which is causing a lot of robbery in the society.

I heard that local government chairman and some of the house of assembly has presented the issue before the governor about what the society is going through at the moment which they have promised the society that thing will return back to normal before the end of this week.

Na Bayelsa State this thing happened. Na because of change of #50 Aboki man used knife stabbed the Ijaw boy to dead at the middle of this year. The boy just came from Abuja and and he was paying #50 a drop at Abuja so when he came to Yenagoa, according him, before he was stabbed to dead and when the argument was going on, the place he entered the Keke was not even reached the placed he entered the Keke at Abuja. And the Aboki said he would not give him the change so, they argued till Aboki brought out the knife from the Keke and stabbed him to dead. So with that anger the Ijaw youth burnt down the Keke instant and all the Abokis at the area ran away. And the governor heard the news so curfew was used to ban the Keke driving for Night so taxes took over the night movement.

And according to taxi drivers the way Keke used to drink fuel is not the same way for Keke so they have to charge high to meet up the expenses. Because where Keke is using 2Ltrs of fuel the taxi can use 5 ltrs of fuel therefore if they charge the same with Keke then they would drive at lost. And that is why they are charging higher in the night.

It's only when humans stop taking advantage of situations in an inhumane and without conscience that's when live can get better as we wish it to be.

When we get opportunity for naija everybody they become thief, everybody will like to use the opportunity and make money, all this things na from our governments e take start, because when we vote them finish immediately they get to that seat all they will be thinking is to steal money they don't care about us anymore, now you want to blame the bus driver for increasing their fees because they have stop Keke driving in the night, i did not blame them all it is their turn, for this country God just dey favor everybody when it's their turn let them use it, no be say the opportunity go last forever nothing should be new to you in this country, if there's no transport money to dey spend if it's not necessary for you to going out in the night, i think you should stop it for now to avoid spending money anyhow.

That time na the time wey nobody fit forget am, those POS people show us shege by that time oh, if you want to withdraw money wey you get na big problem, in fact na you get your money that time but na you and the POS go share the money because 10k charges be 4k or 5k, that time if you want to withdraw they will still be saying if you don't want to withdraw make you dey go, so this your own no be new thing for naija.

Na our government dey cause all this thing's because if them they do the right thing nothing will be like this, commercial Bus driver they do shakara dey tell passengers say if them no wan enter make them go, na their time na make them dey enjoy, after thing's become normal now their eyes go clear, because every opportunity no dey last if you no manage am well.

Na all those circles of bribe collection still keep Nigeria for this level wey we dey. If to say the system dey cleansed up all these ones wey we dey talk no go be issue. No society dey perfect actually but a country wey dey corrupt is always found with the commonest kinds of ills. Price control system suppose be something wey go make the common person on the street enjoy live but who go bail the cat...If you rig election enter then you no go expect say things go begin work as expected. We no need to dey fool ourselves.

Like you say no be only transportation. The thing cut across all the sectors of Nigerian economy. If we look into fuel now abi kerosene or diesel. We no go even talk of people wey dey sell goods self because them too follow dey take advantage that na why I talk say the thing spread for everywhere. For example now if filling stations hear now say government want increase price dem go stop to sell and wait for the new price and before you know am dem go begin sell old cheaper price for new costly price. But if government say price drop, dem go still continue to sell old fuel for that price wey e dey before government announce price reduction.

So na government matter be this. Government suppose put price regulation to dey active and checkmate some of these extortions.

The discussion is not about the over use of opportunity. Over use of opportunity because the state government do not allow the use of Keke driving as business anymore in your state? I don't blame those Keke drivers for over charges of the transportation fees by the nights because they are operating in services of going against the laws of the authorities and orders.
So they have to charge the passengers higher on a high risk violating the last order. And they are believed to have some money saved aside for bribery of caught. We all knows how corrupted the country is and also, the risk of their lives and their Keke has them the reasons for such a high charge fees. This is not something that they are taking chances by over charging for their transportation services. @ OP, atleast you denoted it that they don't change such a high about of the nights during the day.

I no go blame anybody about the situation wey we they inside now. That could be an opportunity in the sight of the transportation guys and for them it's there opportunity to move the market prices upward at a particular time. But as it is an opportunity for the transportation guys , it will not be to the travelers or commuters since as a passenger you're always looking for what's favourable to you and within your budget.

This is where the government is supposed to come in, to ensure there is a proper checkmate of the rates and that such rates are standardised and monitored by the related regulatory bodies including that of private car owners. The same issue is what we face with commodities, because there's an increase in the exchange rate and fuel subsidy removal, prices of some commodities have skyrocketed and still increasing by the day and no government body is taking a leadership role towards salvaging the situation for the benefit of the average and poor Nigerians. We are indeed the architects of our own problems.
