Over population is and has always been a problem to many and every Nations of the world but, it's usually down on the developing Nations due to little or no population management strategy or practices.

When we speak of the developing countries I feel they’re aware of over population issues, but since this issue is very sensitive for their citizens the governments avoid taking any harsh steps towards it. The problem of overpopulation is huge and the developing nations governments need to bring out strict laws and provide incentives to people to stop producing more than one or two kids. Do you’ll also believe that governments turn a blind eye to over population issues, because it’ll increase people’s dependence on them and they’ll get more votes in the long term.

Why are developing countries getting over populated
Improving healthcare is one reason.
In the past in developed countries, and right now in countries with poor healthcare, people have more children because the chances of them surviving are lower.
As healthcare improves, more survive and the population grows.
In time people will have fewer children, but the cause is largely that standards of healthcare advance faster than the birth rate drops.

Over population is and has always been a problem to many and every Nations of the world but, it's usually down on the developing Nations due to little or no population management strategy or practices. It is a know fact that population grows exponentially (2, 4, 8,...) which is relative to the food crops which grows geometrically (2, 4, 6,...).
The geometric growth now doesn't only works for the crops but the available jobs as well. This is why a developing Nations might have a lot of work force and yet it's citizens remains unemployed.
The government needs to look into tackling it's population growth and then the human resource enhanced to suit the needs of it's populace.

There is no over population. There is lots of under population. Government needs lots of people to get ahead in life. People make government happen, because it's people - not machines or AI - that get things done. Does government want to go to the moon? People will do it. Does Government want to solve the energy crisis? People will do it. The only thing that government has to do is find the right incentive for the people. When they do, the people will bend over backwards to do the government's bidding. Ecclesiastes 5:9:
The increase from the land is taken by all; the king himself profits from the fields.
If the king/government wants more "stuff," they need more people to make it for them. GROW THE POPULATION! INCENTIVE!

over population is not the problem
its only offring services to a small dense area (towns and cities) that make people congregate towards these area's to make it fel like its over crowded

we see it even in fully dveloped countries.
schools and hospitals appear cover crowded. not due to a national growth of population, but a constraining of rsourcs to particular area's

such as creating 'food deserts' by shutting down local stores and using only malls. makes people who cant afford to drive miles to a mall, unable to get a good variety of healthy foods

schools shutting down makes the students numbers per class of the remaining schools increase, without there being a massive birthrate/immigration rate from other nations

in the UK in the last 20 years the number of hospital beds have halved. it used to be 300k now its under 150k beds.. thus making it appear as overcrowding by having patients in corridors instead of wards.
but the reality is restraining the resources. not population numbers

Over population may be a problem for some country but some countries like India have taken full advantage of there huge population in attracting companies for the purpose of trade. But i do agree that growth rate must be kept under check.

Philippines population is estimated as 108 million as of mid year this year. It is one of the major problem as overpopulation is affiliated with poverty, pollution, traffic and even crimes. There is more demand than supply. For a big family without stable earnings, everyday is like a survival game. Sometimes, they seek for easy money to fill up their stomach even if such doing is illegal. More people means more trash, and there are people who dont care about sanitazion, thus it cause pollution. I think, it is important to do a family planning. The government think of it also that is why they implemented a law known as the responsible parenthood and reproductive health act which tackels about family planning and others related to such. The country have a birthrate just slightly above replacement level and it's steadily dropping. The problem is it's the people who cannot provide basic needs that are having a dozen or so kids. The middle class tend to just have 3-5 kids. I do not agree with Duterte saying he'll limit it to 2 kids per family, China tried just 1 and they now raised it up to 2 and people still don't want to have kids. They still have a large population but a huge part of it is aging. You can't just play with demographics.

Well i think it's a major problem in general. Not just in developing countries. It's a about resources and basic services being available to every citizen. Then you put in the problem of greedy old politicians and bankers who can't seem to have enough of money and power at the expense of the majority of the population. This is prevalent in third world countries where the government supply for basic necessities can't reach every part of it's population.

Thank goodness you said overpopulation of a developing country is 'one' of its major problem because corruption is the major problem of a developing country. For a country like Nigeria blessed with mineral resources, so abundant that if properly utilized, the rate of poverty as a result of overpopulation would have been on the low. Though Nigeria is the most populated black nation in the world and the most populated in Africa, mismanagement of funds is the major problem been faced. The GDP keeps rising as the population keeps increasing.

Over population of a developed country is more of a problem. It is certainly do here in England.
Over population is always a problem any where and it's fast rising, England is considered as a world power and a developed country with good economical system.
According to world population review England has about 66million with a gross domestic product nominal of over $2 trillion.
Now let take a country from Africa (West Africa) like Nigeria
The population of Nigeria this year is estimated at over 200million people with a gpd of approximately 450million.
Considering this factor developing countries has more disadvantages of overpopulation

Population largely seems to be related to status of women in that society. Though there are exceptions everywhere, generally the empowered women tend to give birth to less number of children as she needs to look after her job/business and could give less time to child. Likewise a country where women are backwards or are greatly dominated by male, tend to have larger number of children.

I don't think overpopulation has got to be a negative thing all the time. Human resource is something those type of government can make use of.

Here in India, majority of the youth are unemployed. They get into crimes, etc. And they are in millions. The government can easily put them under army employment. Would make the country strong etc. But, to get employed safeguard the borders, the government asks them what degrees they have completed etc.

I guess, the countries that can't use human resource efficiently is doomed anyways.

The issue of overpopulation arises when the population is rising without commensurate increase in the resources of the particular country or when the the population has outgrown the resources of the country in which case, the resources have been fully utilitsed. With the exception of certain countries, I think overpopulation is not the problem rather is the failure not to harness the amount of resources nature have bestowed unto them. Most developing countries if developing at the right proportion as biology of their citizens, there won't any need for overpopulation but because of several factors such as poor leadership, excessive believe in the supernatural rather than calling their leaders to order have continued to be the reason for effort to be focused on unnecessary things as the cause of their failure.

In my view, I don't think that over population of the developing countries of the world that is the major problem but mismanagement of their resources human resources inclusive, corruption and bad leadership are the are the main reason why they remain underdeveloped till today. In most of these countries you will see that corruption is a lucrative business.
It's a rather a major problem because there is lack of funds when it comes to developing countries and because of the overpopulation issues the government will have to provide social amenities for citizens so that none would be deprived meanwhile the funds used to provide these amenities could have been used for other things which would have brought capital to the country.
If you a take country like Nigeria as a case study you will come to an agreement with that population is not there source or the reason why they remain underdeveloped but mismanagement, corruption, lack of good leadership, ethnicity and religious affiliation.

The problem is the corruption and mismanagement, which are closely tied. I mean look at diamond producers in Africa and how much they are earning from just one resource. Yet majority of the population don't even have a job. A classic example of mismanagement is Venezuela, going overboard on "free" to the point they even amassed loans.

Some of these can also be linked back to foreign entities wanting to keep a cheap supply of resource that they either resort to corruption, for example de Beers or outright destabilization, for example the banana wars in Central America.

Overpopulation of a developing country is a problem only if the government doesn't let the people do some development. Underpopulation slows development down a whole lot more. Fewer people to do the developing.

Cool

Quite, true sir. As long as the government keeps the population educated, skillful, healthy and with opportunities this population contributes to development. This becomes a problem when the population is unhealthy since more expenses for the government, more unemployment, poverty, etc. Overpopulation consumes more resources a country can produce and this becomes a problem.

Cool

In a way it's the core problem but there are some other like crime and addiction. The average African country cannot develop on its own because 80% of the population consists of uneducated morons who only eat, sleep, fuck, and get drunk (Uganda). the 20% can try to change it but when they invest and actually build something it gets destroyed by drunk morons or burglarized by organized, sober morons.
