Is there some pool betting site with decent amount of volume? So I can place at least a bet of 10$ without significantly changing the odds. And sorry for a bit off topic post since the title says bitcoin accepting.

OneHash has large volume for some events (someone chucked 0.1 BTC on Madrid to win vs Melilla @ 1.00 odds lmao) I don't believe there are any other sites (maybe some random smart contract?) with high volume.

Thanks. That is exactly the type of bet where I would have put small bets on draw and Melilla wining. I know it is a long shot but when you get odds that are much better when compered to standard bookies it always pays out in the long run.

Edit: Just realized it is today. Now I have to wait until few minutes till the start of the game and place bets if the odds stay the same.

3. You want to gamble on the odds that you get being better than traditional books, as well as the event

This. It can be very profitable to use pool betting sites when you are tipping on underdog. I managed to get from 0.06 ETH to a little bit more than 3 ETH one low volume site accepting only ETH (0xgame). Working trough smart contracts without any fees. I managed to get quite high odds for draws or upsets and big number of small bets (0.001-0.05 ETH) paid of in the long run. Problem is that they have almost no volume and very small selection of games. I learned about this one from beginning and there was few situations where you could take a whole pool with 1 cent bet since nobody was betting on the underdog Smiley Good times

Go check this site only if you have high tolerance for quirky behavior. They are legit but just starting and you need to put some effort to use it. Lots of refreshing & sync problems. Metamask is a requirement.

How about onehash? Since they just open their new dice site, I juat remembered that they had their sportbetting game too. Why dont you include it on your post? Is their odds not good enough to be listed on your overview? Or they have some issues? You should put every sportbetting site and compare their odds right?

OneHash is a horrible site for anyone who wants to bet on sports to make a profit. They aren't included because of that reason, and because they aren't a traditional sportsbook.

To start:
1. They have a 5% margin. For a site that takes zero risk, that is extremely high and already a losing proposition against the good sportsbooks available
2. It's mutual betting, so there aren't fixed odds. You could bet on an outcome that many others also bet on, reducing the odds likely below what other sportsbooks offer
3. It's very unprofitable for someone to bet large amounts. For example, I had 300 mBTC on Man City to win versus Watford today. I placed my bet on Betcoin.ag and got odds @ 1.35. This was the market for Man City vs Watford on OneHash:

Odds on Man City were @ 1.153, which is significantly less than other books. BitcoinRush closed @ 1.37 odds, which is more than double.
There was only 25 mBTC in the pool for the whole match, with the majority on Man City. If I placed a 300 mBTC bet on OneHash, I think I would end up with odds around @ 1.03 because I would likely be the only large bettor.

They are only good if:
1. You are extremely casual for betting and don't care about making a profit
2. You bet under 1 mBTC, as you would heavily decrease the odds for your outcome otherwise
3. You want to gamble on the odds that you get being better than traditional books, as well as the event

Since OP said that he will add esport but he still not do it yet and I also doing comparisons on esport too. I decided to shared it here.

I have to included 1xbit here because It provide biggest coverage in esport. Can't skip them sorry.

ESPORT:
- = Not available.
|Sportsbook|Match Winner Margin|Over/Under Margin|Handicap Margin|
|Buff88|5.88%|6.25%|6.21%|
|1xbit|7.40%|9.77%|8.56%|
|mBitCasino|5.88%|6.25%|6.21%|
|Nitrogen|5.97%|-|-|
|Sportsbet.io|5.90%|7.86%|7.97%|

Now compare with real money sportsbook.

|Sportsbook|Match Winner Margin|Over/Under Margin|Handicap Margin|
|bet365|7.61%|9.11%|5.79%|
|Pinnacle|4.87%|-|4.78%|
|gg.bet|5.53%|7.53%|7.41%|

Overall: esport have extremely high margin. Even Pinnacle have 4.87% margin. I hope in future some sportsbook can step up and give better margin than this.

Update
This time I'll use Astralis vs Liquid as the reference of comparisons. It's 5 stars match and one of the best match in this month. So I think all sportsbook will make their margin better than old one

spoiler: yes they did. even without any comparisons I clearly see one sportsbook have as good odd as pinnacle

- mean Not available.
= mean odd is same (look at percentage and it will tell which one is duplicate)
|Sportsbook|Match Winner Margin|Over/Under Margin|Handicap Margin|
|Buff88|6.21% (=)|6.53% (=)|6.44% (=)|
|1xbit|4.38%|8.23% (=)|8.82%|
|mBitCasino|6.21% (=)|6.53% (=)|6.44% (=)|
|Nitrogen|-|-|-|
|Sportsbet.io|5.88%|8.23% (=)|8.23% (=)|

Overall: I don't have time to do real money sportsbook comparisons but I can tell that 1xbit match winner margin is less than Pinnacle (4.83%) but Over/under and Handicap still have high margin.

Important reminder
1. mBitcasino and Buff88 are using same odd provider.
2. mBitcasino and Buff88 are using same software.
3. mBitcasino and Buff88 are both under Galaxy Group.

there is one new sportsbook that emerged not so long ago: https://www.betbit.com/
their topic: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/betbitcom-launches-sportsbook-as-well-as-8-software-providers-5056786
while it is not the best sportsbook I have seen and I haven't tested deposits/withdrawals just yet , but they claim there is no  KYC and their events list is quite good
by the way, the owner offers free 0.003 btc with 10x rollover requirement bonus for legendary members to try the site out
you could check it out and decide if it is worth including or not

Just saw the news, it seems Betking's just taken down their sportsbook, with no plans to add it back any time soon. Owner citing low traffic in chat. I was just beginning to enjoy their odds, they took about half of my bets ever since joining late September.

It's quite strange to me that volume of play still goes to bookies with much higher margins, even with threads like these showing people what a big difference lower margins can make even if tiny fractions are shaved off. Must be something about the mentality of sports bettors I'm not understanding.

Total number of LIVE events also indicates the quality of sportsbook. IMO, it would be useful to compare this index as well.

If you're hoping to shill for Jetwin, their live offering is garbage. You might want to shill their promotions instead as that seems to be the only thing they might actually be a viable option from. Only 1 American football match is available live right now on Jetwin while Sportsbet has 6 live. Betcoin has all 7. Jetwin's live margins are no surprise below all other books, with -123/@1.81 evens versus Sportsbet's -114/@1.88 or Betcoin's -111/@1.9.

DarkStar- Sorry for not getting back to you on Anonibet. They are still up and running. As you will notice the margins are very high on American sports. Payouts aren't up to par with other bitcoin books.

Even though their margins are very high, on occasion they will have the best line on a side. The same occurs over at Betcoin. Even if the margin is high on a particular event, you may be able to find a line better than other books on one side and payouts are fast.

Thanks for getting back to me! Anonibet seems to have decent margins for European football. I'm still not sure whether I should add them though, given how inactive they are. They don't have particularly good margins, so I feel it might not be worth the work to add them.

I've definitely noticed for Betcoin. I do encourage people to shop for odds, but I should probably add a disclaimer somewhere that states "lowest margins doesn't always mean the best odds" somewhere.

Just to give an example of where a book may have a higher theoretical hold but better line on one side, Betcoin has Dallas -200 on the ML in the NFL game tonight. After that I it looks like -225 is the best.

-snip-

Let's say we have a simple match between two teams with no possibility of Draw. We'll call it Team A vs Team B. The probability of each team winning is 50%.
A sportsbook with a 2.56% margin will give you odds of 1.95 on each outcome. 1.95 represents a 51.28% chance of winning, when in reality it is only 50%. This is present on both sides, so the total margin is 1.28% * 2 = 2.56%.

A sportsbook with a 5.26% margin will give you odds of 1.9 on each outcome. It represents a 52.63% chance of the team winning, but the real chance of winning is only 50%.

You get what you paid for, but books with lower house edges will give you more for the same payment.
Thread makes much more sense now with the numbers game going on, and just to be clear the house edge in this case is the margin??
By the way thanks for the enlightenment Smiley

Yup, statistically the house is supposed to profit the margin percentage with each bet. Same as house edge.
