Kim Dotcom --> D Kimoto C

--> Dr. Kimoto Chan

you connect the dots  Wink
Kim Dotco Harn?

Kim Dotcom --> D Kimmoto C
--> Dr Kimoto Chan

There's too much coincidence. Whether it is intentional or not, fact is that MEC's client features Bitcoin client core v0.8.99 not even Litecoin has that. Clearly MEC is not another average "copy/paste" alt coin. The guy behind MEC shows sign of understanding programming.
MEC 42 Million total vs. 82 Million of Litecoin.

I'd keep an eye on MEC.

I have a very hard time believing this for one simple reason:  Kim Dotcom is a lot of things, but subtle and understated don't seem to be two of them.  If this was something he was involved with, I think his name would be all over it, it would be all over his twitter feed, and about any other other way he could promote it.  Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't know why he would want to fly under the radar.

On the contrary, (assuming it is Kim Dotcom) If he used a developer name of Kimoto then he obviously likes the Satoshi thing.

Now consider he had mega upload and now mega.co.nz and is into crypto in a big way (is mining bitcoin) then would he not have at least mentioned MEC in a twitter feed if it is not his... something along the lines of "megacoin is not associated with mega.co.nz' or 'i am not Kimoto"...

instead we have utter silence from Kim Dotcom on the matter...

Maybe (and it does make sense) is that whoever Kimoto is is trying to look like he is Kim Dotcom when he is not, but in that case I would expect Kim Dotcom to say something...

To say one is an idiot for thinking Kimoto is Dotcom is a retarded comment with no substance... the fact remains that only one or two people seem to know if Kimoto is Dotcom or not. And Kim Dotcom is definitely one of those two...

He is outspoken and my bet is there s a very good reason he is quiet on this one.

check this out.
you can download megacoin client from his official website mega.co.nz.

If he got nothing to do with it, why download from his official website?

This about it, why use Bitcoin when you can use your own Megacoin for your own website if your Kimdotcom?

Maybe it's just a hosting cloud site  and smart guy who using Kimdotcom name?
Yes it's a file hosting site, which lots of alt coins are hosted on. And no, he's not using Kim Dotcom's name.

So, a few of you have mentioned YACoin. What's so great about it? I don't even see it listed on Coinwarz or CoinChoose.

YAC GPU mining is for me the most profitable..

GPU mining?   Didn't realize that was possible.

The source is different in bitcointalk compare to the other's forum.

I speak with facts, not rumours.

A shameless promoter of megacoin.

lol, better than just writing claims with no justification, like:

"You're an idiot if you think kim dotcom is behind megacoin. A complete idiot."

or "A shameless promoter of megacoin."

lol, and you are an idiot if you think people actually believe Kim Dotcom was behind MEC without any real proof.
Megacoin is a great name, MEC sounds way better than LTC or DGC or WDC.
and taking the pseudonym Dr Kimoto Chan is also a great way to promote MEC, we are here now discussing MEC because of it, aren't we?

the guy behind MEC clearly is not any average Joe.

Satoshi Nakamoto, creator of bitcoin was a Japanese name.

Dr Kimoto Chan sounds like Japanese name too.

and for those who don't know, Chan in Japanese can be translated as something like "junior". Hence
Kim Dotcom --> D kimmoto C
--> Dr Kimmoto Chan

makes sense, both Dr and Chan are abbreviations (they are not part of the name)

Clearly, a clever way to promote this coin. Now, I wouldn't rule out Kim Dotcom behind this coin neither Tongue

Seriously, keep an eyes on this coin. Development is underway.
