I don't get this, are people making manual payments then or how are they running pools? Did P2Pool update so that you can manually mine on any p2pool node using your Bitcoin address as a username?
You've been able to do that since pretty much the beginning. Any shares you find are then paid out to the address that you set as a username, same as if you were running your own node.

Massively Merged Mining: http://p2pool.knotwork.com:10332

Halifax Nova Scotia::Canada::p2pool.knotwork.com:10332::0%::BTC,NMC,DVC,GRP,I0C,IXC,CLC::Massively Merged Mining::MarkM (knotwork)

I have set commission to ZERO so that all the bitcoins mined will go out to the miners automatically.

That means how much each miner contributed will be recorded in the bitcoin blockchain; altcoin awards can then be computed from that data.

-MarkM-

So, do you intend to pay out also the altcoins, proportionally?

That would be really nice...

No. Either the altchains portion of miner awards will be paid in DeVCoins or each miner will get to choose which altcoin to be paid their altchain awards in. I prefer DeVCoins not only because the motivation to open my p2pool setup to the public was a DeVCoin pool bounty but also because DeVCoin addresses are (deliberately) identical to BiTCoin addresses thus DeVCoin awards can be sent to their BiTCoin address. (They simply need to export its private key from their bitcoin wallet and import it into a DeVCoin wallet to access the DeVCoins.)

I can pay the awards on my Open Transactions server too, so they can be conveniently exchanged into any of the other coins/assets.

The pool has its own announcement thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-no-commission-p2pool-plus-additional-bonus-altcoin-payouts-102691 and it also has a thread in the altchains section: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/closed-massively-merged-mining-102661

Welcome Naelr, I've added it to the list.

@zvs  - I need more info to add your pool to the list. If you could provide your info in the following format I can add it to the list:

Format: City/State/Province::Country::IP Address:Port::Fee::Coinage Mined::Pool Name::Operator (Nick)Name

Thanks for helping.

฿itcoin: Currency of Resistance!
July 24, 2012, 08:08:01 PM
Hi!

I just update Electra Bitcoin and Litecoin P2Pool nodes.

Now, there are two VPS, one for each type of P2Pool node (VPS1 for BTC/NMC/IXC & VPS2 for LTC).

Each VPS have its own internet connection (fiber-optic).

Now, the Litecoin daemon is running on its default ports, more than 15 connections.

 Double-re-checking all firewall rules...

The Electra Bitcoin P2Pool node have a new IP: 200.204.162.44 - Fee down from 0.5% to 0.3%.

Please, update the first post of this thread!

Cheers!

Hi!

I just upgrade the Electra Litecoin P2Pool node.

I update the Litecoin and the P2Pool softwares.

Since the Litecoin daemon uses the same TCP port of P2Pool for Bitcoin, I'll move it (Electra Litecoin P2Pool node) to another IP soon. This will help the Litecoin network, since my Litecoin Daemon doesn't accept incoming connections right now.

Cheers!
