How do I install SDK over SSH?  Links aren't working right help!!  I want to get this going

 Install the APP SDK
Next, you'll need AMD's APP SDK:
http://developer.amd.com/tools-and-sdks/heterogeneous-computing/amd-accelerated-parallel-processing-app-sdk/downloads/

You need to download the APP SDK with an Browser and transfer it to your linux host over SCP or WinSCP.
wget wont work.

These are related to a faster payout ratio convergence. And I prefer that way.... Now the MH/s give a Share difficulty of 0.000748. Even a low hashrate miner will get the expected reward, and very quickly, this will work for hundred of MH/s too, so this is right way...

Right now your Network is finding Blocks approximately every 2 Hours. Have fun with that settings.
And what is diff raises further and u find even fewer Blocks.

The People over at Vertcoin had tested these settings a long time before going live. PANDA is a clone of it so the proven to work settings are more trustworthy imho.

Also i didnt get the point why u want this to be 1 Hour? You jumping Pools a lot? Only mining part time?
I personally like to get a steady stream of coins even if my rigs are offline for an hour.

Also this Address Pcm7RfFLY59AVyDazwP1iiG5JhLUwF7Y1P is mining to the node wallet. (dont do this on a server that exposed...)
But because of this i cant even check if your displayed fee is correct.

More MH/s for a p2pool is always better. But reliability is important too, and I've used the p2pool-vtc for days, this repository is well maintained. And the patch is OK, so...

For real  Huh

If you compare the VTC Git to your patch you will see that you have changed way more parameters than necessary to get this to work with PANDA.

So dont bullshit me here. Your settings are in a very drastically way altered from original VTC settings.
So nothing is proven to work here!!!

I'm not the author of this patch, but the only parameters updated more than required are these:
+        CHAIN_LENGTH=1*60*60//10, # shares
+        REAL_CHAIN_LENGTH=1*60*60//10, # shares

These are related to a faster payout ratio convergence. And I prefer that way.... Now the MH/s give a Share difficulty of 0.000748. Even a low hashrate miner will get the expected reward, and very quickly, this will work for hundred of MH/s too, so this is right way...

The parameters are close to the one used by vercoin; these parameters will work fine with  300MH/s or more...

1 Hour is close to 24 Hours, yes i get that.

You also try to convince me the whole time of your settings which are not proven to work right now. I never did this to you, did i?
So leave it to the People to decide which one they want.

I've setup myself new p2pool parameters for some altcoins. The patch parameters are good. We just need a lot of MH/s, and patience. That's all.

I've checked the patch parameters myself. That's OK. The blocks will come...

Cloudapp Servers are not down. You just cant ping them because icmp is diabled. Just connect your miner, get in the Frontend and check your stale rate. If its higher than Thema pool hashrate you have to search for another one :-(. In not : hoooray

What wrong there? two separate p2pool networks for panda? Its ok? I don't see the same payment address on both pools.

Once again - Yes - the hashrate is higher BUT there are disadvantages for smallhash-miners in that patch... lets just use the actual one (which we are using currently with ~4mhash) and we are set for the 11 mhash :-)!!!!

This one?? https://github.com/TheoRettisch/p2pool-panda, I supply my 3.5Mh/s there. I run it 2 hours behind.

Please uses the patch splitting is an issue, and the payout ratio convergence is faster.

ok, I download it again and running now on port 9190, before was 8169. But still ist there some old p2pool nodes with 8Mh/s.

There's a huge amount of interest here. Mid to long term this could translate very well.

And the people hating on this are doing pretty well at pumping this thread - keep up the good work!

LMAO

There is no Problem with two P2Pool Networks running on the same Coin.
They dont interfer each other.

If you dont know this you maybe should not fiddle with the P2Pool Settings  Huh

*p2pool

Here is a patch to get a public thepandacoin p2pool node,  this patch applies to the original vertcoin p2pool code (git clone git://github.com/donSchoe/p2pool-vtc).

You may setup your own p2pool node. You will get a low latency, low dead on arrival stratum server, and no fees....

Good, I switch to p2pool, as soon as my config is operational.

Work fine! Thanks.

There is no disadvantage for smaller miner with this patch. The repository is bad, it uses a huge window, you will have to wait 24h to get the payout ratio your are expecting... A higher MH/s is more blocks and less statistical varation - that's all!

The parameters are close to the one used by vercoin; these parameters will work fine with  300MH/s or more...

The thing is that the above posted patch is a pain in the ass for every miner with a lower hashrate as these guys are using "THE OLD" vertcoin patch - not the actual one.

I would recommend to use this repo https://github.com/TheoRettisch/p2pool-panda as there is no disadvantage for smaller miners... lets huddle guys....
this is scrypt-n - there are a lot of "slow hasher" out there :|

Please use the patch above. A higher hashrate is better for all. P2pool share computing is fair. The patch uses a shorter period of time, this is better too. Do you really want to wait 24h to get the share ratio you are waiting for? And two days for a block?

Well the Vertcoin Guys didnt made the P2Pool Fork just for fun and to see if it works!

And u dont have to wait 24 Hours to get a share. In fact with 100 kh/s u get one after 20 mins and then a solid payout over the next 24 Blocks!

I dont mind u having your own P2Pool setting.

I just like to roll with the settings that are proven right now in a 300mh/s P2Pool with 80% Luck!!!!!
