There are many factors involved and especially i will give weightage to luck because you never know which coins will be the winners and which will be dead. I am also mostly a longterm holder so i like to give projects good time to prove themselves and i have earned profit but sometimes it turns out to be the other way roumd.

indeed, thats mean not only patience but we must hold the right altcoins
because if hold the wrong alt, we can lose our money
so, beside patience, i think knowledge is important too

As we are in a bull market now finally, i am seeing that a lot of forgotten coins and tokens are waking up and some projects from 2016-17 are also making multifold gains.
This was always expected especially for the coims and projects that were undervalued for a longtime, now finally it is time to shine for the underdogs.

Patience is indeed the key especially in this kind of market but bear in mind that not all the coins will have the same outcome if you hold them so you better choose those coins that are certain will give you a profit. Just like you, I've been holding some of my coins I found that the profit I will make right now if I sell them is quite small thus, I will hold it until I reach my target profit before selling. But anyway, congrats on your success, you deserve that profit especially you managed to hold it for 5 years.

With regards to digital money, persistence is in fact the key. Indeed the significance of tolerance can't be overemphasized. I've heard a decent amount of Bitcoin and ethereum before, however sold out. I just wished, I showed restraint to have held it till now. The profits would have been magnificent. I'm as yet appreciative for the couple of I held till date.

Its nice to hear such an inspiring and a successful selling of cryptocurrency. Of course the one who have a patience and look for a positivity of a coin that they are holding and will going to sell always have the possibility to harvest a good and prosperous basket of fruits. There is no such formula that need to be followed to become a successful trader but patience will always a virtue. For me, there is no need to be always in hurry when it comes to selling our crypto coin not unless you're in total need and need to sell that coin right away, but if not, better to stay it in you hard wallet while waiting for a amount that you think enough for you.

The funny thing is, there is really no other option as well if you want to make money and some people prefer losing money over waiting. That is the real trouble with the market, I remember back in 2017, some people got bitcoin at nearly 20k price, and when it reached to 10k they sold it, and I have zero clue why they did that.

Sure there could be few people who needed the money for life emergency that was unexpected, that always happens, I had to sell some coins in those situations as well and it was bad, but I really do not get that why would anyone be fine with losing 50% and just moving on? Waiting and eventually profiting is the only way to get out of loss, you could also buy more and more from lower levels so that you could make a profit easier and quicker, but selling will never be the solution yet some people still do it without any logical reason.

Most of these dead coins went to me as payment for the work done in the bounty in 2017. Almost all of these coins have already been abandoned by the developers and there will be no positive movements on them. I myself have never invested my money in such projects, so in addition to the previously mentioned coins, I no longer have other illiquid coins.
