Maybe you need to check always the market so your not late for the good profit will come to you. We have seen lots of members here complaining that they didn't wait enough before booking their profits because they don't have patience.
But it's really hard to have this mentality, I'll give one example, last week I try to buy something online, just so hype so I order, but after a week, that item went into sale for 20%, damn I was so mad at myself for not waiting enough. Patience is a virtue of life, not just of trading. Though it's an integral part of the crypto industry sometimes one might miss opportunities all in the guise of waiting/patience. I have missed opportunities of selling early certain coins I bought at ICO in 2017 only for the coins to dump and I have been bag-holding them since then. So, it's a two sides of a coin thing. It doesn't mean patience will get one profit. Sometimes, one loses for being patient too. 
If you expect your poor coin to increase in price, it is a huge mistake because if the project is no longer working, it is best to sell everything you have to be able to stabilize your assets. I personally do not choose to be patient but only choose the safest solution when trading before buying, I should set the price to sell to make a profit

I think the op is even lucky that he got something from it, up to 20% even.Sometimes having patience can do more damage than not having patience, cause there are times you may continue to have patience and what you expect is not what you will be getting cause the price might not go up again and instead will be going down.
I have seen people that have lost everything because they were trying to have patience. And most of the times this happens to people that are buying and trading small coins in the market. If you buy a top coin, there is still hope that you can still receiver what you have lost.

but i can tell patience, it is one of the most difficult skills to learn as an investor and trader.
Imagine that you have $1000 in your pocket, and you decide to invest or trade with 10% of it based on what you can afford to lose, you cannot compared the patience of this person to someone that is greedy enough to invest 90% of the money, when you and I know that there is no way tension will not set in with that, so that is one of the many reasons why patience becomes something difficult for us.

Well, patience come latter than your investment decision and this is important to think about why would you decide to speculate in a particular coins at a point in time. Time to speculate and the kind of coin do matter. Investors prefer to speculate when prices are low. Trade on the trading platform when you got volatility in the market because that is what helps make the money but of course you should never expect a coin to make you a millionaire in a day or two.
