If Paypal CEO is holding Bitcoin then this is indeed a good news. Paypal is an old and welknown method for overseas transactions and bullish sentiments from its CEO is surely a good news to share. As Bitcoin is a strong competitor to Paypal, its CEO may explore options either to connect Bitcoin to it or something else to compete it. Lets see whats new it brings to the crypto market. Lets hope for the best.

Indeed it's a good news that someone as important as PayPal CEO is hodling bitcoin but how does it helps us I mean those who are into bitcoin for passive profit on daily or monthly basis? This will be a motivation for one term HODLers but for us it's just another news as it will not benefit us or market in anyway.

Seems that we do have a lot of CEO, personalities who are holding Bitcoin just like the founder of Twitter too, wondering if the founder of Bitcoin also have some since he began to have his own crypto. Anyway, it's not that surprised for now that there were lots of big person who manage and risking their money in Bitcoin, meaning they have seen the potential of it to grow more in the future.

Bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency, and right now the only cryptocurrency I am holding is also Bitcoin. I stopped holding cryptocurrencies, I don't see the need for them, I don't gain much from them and sometimes I gain nothing, and I don't even use them for transaction, so I have decided to just stick to bitcoin for now, though after 2017 I was looking into buying Litecoin, not sure about that yet.

But I don't think PayPal will agree to add Bitcoin to their app. That their CEO is investing in it doesn't mean that they are going to add it, they might feel it's not fit for their business. Their CEO is not the only one that makes a decision, it's something the executives discuss and I know for sure that some of them won't be in support of it. Anyway, it doesn't even matter, whether they add it or not, Bitcoin always grow.

PayPal CEO Dan Schulman, in describing why the payment company decided to withdraw from Libra, also revealed that he is a hodlr of cryptocurrency, but only Bitcoin.

Interviewed by Fortune magazine, he answered the question if he personally owned any cryptocurrency:

“Yes. Bitcoin.”

Okay now this seems to be pretty interesting to me. Since he's a Bitcoin HODLer, I don't know if this is a sign that he could add BTC as one of features for Paypal. If that happens, I don't know what would that be. Probably might integrate Bitcoin as one of the payment options aside from Visa, Mastercard and AMEX?

I have a Paypal account until now, but I only use it like few times a year since entering into the world of cryptocurrencies. Paypal was the payment processor I trusted during my early years as a virtual assistant. However, their fees are eating our funds apart. This is why Bitcoin is such a great alternative, and no doubt Dan Schulman's already convinced about owning some Bitcoin in the first place.

Looking at the rate at which the crypto ecosystem is growing, the option to use cryptocurrencies for payment will be soon added to already existing payment platforms. These people managing and owning the traditional payment platforms are always interested in numbers. If they realize that the crypto space has a good number of people in its ecosystem, adding cryptocurrency as an option will definitely increase the numbers in terms of usage of their platforms and also gain new customers... I will not be surprised when paypal adds the option of using Bitcoin or other crypto coins as a payment option.

i like your vision that what if one day , paypal founder decided to integrate btc to thier platform  . i think that would be a genius idea since paypal is still one of the leading online payment until today  . i also love the part the paypal founder love's to invest on btc alone  .

Not only paypal CEO holding bitcoin. Many rich and technology lover holding bitcoin but they don't reveal that or they don't talk about bitcoin.

There are many problem in paypal. Even paypal is restricted many countries.Fee is high, suddenly they locked the fund.but bitcoin is easy to use.all over the world bitcoin can be used.no restriction.no one control the btc.only holder can control. That's why I don’t use paypal now Cheesy
I heard that paypal fees have been high since 2018, did the end of 2019 paypal fees still not reduce fees? Paypal should be able to try to emulate the cryptocurrency system to reduce fees to make it easier for members to make the transaction system

Today's paypal ceo looks good on bitcoin and may be new to bitcoin and is trying to see if it will make a big profit here. But whatever the reason, it just means that someday bitcoin can be accepted by paypal.

And it's starting now, which is why I see bitcoin's future well.

That's good news, but I don't think that's enough to make the price of bitcoin go up. anyone out there can hold bitcoin, even mister president. in fact, bitcoin has become an investment tool. even people who are opposed to bitcoin can hold large amounts of bitcoin.
That wasn't the topic at the very least. It is a matter of bitcoin and its holder, no influence for pumping and whatnot. But looking at the main post it seems like we are just making it big because it is held by the CEO of paypal Dan Schulman even there is no amount stated. Everyone can have it, everyone can hold it thats the nature of investment. Adding the bitcoin option for payment would be a great advantage these days like what Microsoft did, especially they are a payment processor it would be nice to have that kind of option.

at this day and age you have to be seriously blind not to see the big potential that something like bitcoin has. it is innovative, one of a kind and it is offering something new and well needed which is a decentralized payment system that we had the need for many years.
with that said everyone should buy at least a small amount of bitcoin while we are still in adoption stage. even if it is $20 worth of it, it is still a good idea to get in at the ground floor.

I have read this before I think this is really good thing that big icons are now understanding the value of Bitcoin and I'm pretty sure there would be many other people who own bitcoin but we don't know them. Bitcoin is close to mass adoption.
Billionaires are now talking about bitcoin, and yeah many billionaires already owns bitcoin. This is indeed not new and still a good news for all of us. The price is dumping but its not dying, buy more and follow the behavior of a successful man I heard so much news like this before, and our very own Manny Pacquiao also express his support on cryptocurrency, and he’s a billionaire too.

Even he is a holder he will for sure not add bitcoin as a way to fund our PayPal accounts as it differs in purpose of being decentralised of crypto and PayPal being connected in banks and centralised platform. However PayPal can be used in many online transactions as many website credited the use of PayPal now a days without debate unlike in BTC now,but will have it's adoption too maybe soon.

No matter how much he is hodling still a great advantage for all of us that one of the CEO is seeking and bought CEO, it means that he have seen the potential growth and return of his investment in Bitcoin, it will be a good way as for sure he will recommend this to his friends, which are also businessmen and the mass adoption will continue to grow more and more.
It is good to hear that even the ceo of paypal is seeing opportunity in bitcoin and it is the reason why he have bitcoins and he keep holding it. There are also big personalities who bought bitcoin like bill gates, he admitted that he bought bitcoins and he claims that it is better than fiat currencies.

Although there's no clear statements that came from Bill Gates himself that he used to hold bitcoins, but the belief of many people strongly conclude that he's a part of the journey that we follow ever since. On paypal's ceo, I believed that he choose bitcoin investment because that involves a huge profit in the future. They foreseen more progress with this type of asset, and these rich guys won't risk their money if they won't be able to gather strong resources prior making a final decision for holding huge amount of bitcoins.

Maybe he will not go that far.
He is for hodling maybe just in case it pumps.
Or is he evading tax?  Grin
We don't know for sure. But this might not be a big reason for him to add Bitcoin in his services.
There will some ruling with it and it could mean more paperworks.
If I am the owner of a big company like that, I may not want to ruin it with an addition of something which some people do not understand yet.

This is in contrast of former PayPal CEO Bill Harris statement, Bitcoin is ‘useless as a payment mechanism and ridiculous as a store of value,’ ex-PayPal CEO says.

So it's good that Paypal's CEO of today really "believed" in BTC, so we don't know maybe we can see Paypal readily accepts it as payment options in the future. Maybe this was a sign, of pitching bitcoin specially that the CEO itself knows that bitcoin is the future.
This is good news as many people are looking forward to chance that PayPal accepting Bitcoin to their platforms. So if this happens there is a great potential that bitcoin will become even more recognizable and many people will have awareness about bitcoin.
But we don't know what paypal CEO thinks, but I see that is the very first step of paypal to accept bitcoin in the future.  Maybe now let's just pray.

Well, that's exactly describe how bitcoin become what it is now. Some are in denial about using bitcoin maybe for their protection a d we all know that bitcoin is really a very secretive asset. If we ordinary people had acquire it, how much more for like them that has the capacity to do so. That's why today it seems the price are so stagnant and seem going down maybe these people are hodling that much of it. The circulation of bitcoin now is not really that much. I mean its so unpredictable but I still believe the volume of supplies is increasing while the demand is decreasing that makes downfall on going.
