If you are a seller PayPal have very high fee. Bitcoin's fee are very low.

Furthermore PayPal is reversible, Bitcoin is non-reversible.

If you are a buyer they are very similar.

In this case, maybe the main difference is that PayPal can freeze your account and consequently your money, instead with Bitcoin this is not possible in any case.

Unfortunately PayPal than Bitcoin is accepted everywhere.

i prefer to use paypal it's much more secured then when you pay with
a bit coin. maybe in the future if the bitcoin is better secured i will think about it.
Paypal and bitcoin vulnerable hacked so nothing is 100% safe in my opinion.
For the results obtained bitcoin produce more than paypal maybe it makes people prefer to use bitcoin.
I think something that is online or concerned with the technology risk for compromised all security depends on you. my paypal account hacked several times and resulted in a loss to me because they use credit cards in it. bitcoin also has risks but the difference you can make an authentication for your wallet so that it can be safer. bitcoin actually safer

I use Bitcoin instead of using Paypal right now, but sometimes we feel ourselves forced to use Paypal as many popular marketplaces still not supporting Bitcoin as payment processor till now.

Yeah now I don't use Paypal anymore, I used bitcoin for money transfers as it is very convenient and cheap, and I am not spending any coin for shopping at a moment as price is not too high.
yes transactions with bitcoin does not require a large fee. you will get the ease and speed. This is one of the strengths bitcoin. bitcoin is a new era in the world's financial system. I chose bitcoin for various transactions.

I'd choose Bitcoin over Paypal any day. Sorry but Paypal just sucks.

Their buyer protection on ebay is a gigantic fraud as well. I can't understand how this company is still existing.

The company still exist because your claims aren't true at all. Remember the Paypal is under the world's financial law and terms. They are registered company and all info of their heads are on the box. If your claims is true then Paypal will not run for years.

Great punch man.. paypal is exist here for almost 20 years. what does it mean? it simply mean that paypal have some advantages and some good features, thats why people love to use bitcoin.. I don't saying that bitcoin is not good and paypal is better. but the truth is that paypal is good in its place and we are still depending on paypal to convert our bitcoin to real money..

Bitcoin is much cheaper when buying goods from a foreign country.

Paypal's exchange rates are shit.

I dont know where are you from, but i use bitcoin for the same reasons...
I'm from brazil and here we have a lot of taxes to use a internacional credit card, so when i use paypal to get things from ebay, amazon e etc it become way more expensive.

With bitcoins it's way cheaper and almost the same process thanks to a bitcoin debit card that i use.
when buying local stuff from internet i still prefer paypal.

The company "is still existing" because people use its services. Choosing them over other payment methods available on eBay.

People are more comfortable in using Paypal as its service period has been longer, and I personally feel that Paypal is really good when it comes to online shopping.

Pretty much my point. Online shopping would be nowhere without buyer protection, and that's what PayPal offers.

That's true and I think Paypal can be considered as a market leader for online shopping, as it holds maximum number of users worldwide they are using Paypal.

EBay has made itself popular years and years ago and now they are somewhat of a leading marketplace where people are forced to use PayPal as main payment option.

And nothing will change as the average user has not much problems at all with PayPal as they are buyer protected.

The only way to stop PayPal is to make the majority of its users stop using it, otherwise nothing will change.

What are your opinions on paypal or bitcoin for online shopping?
i think bitcoin is better than paypal nowadays because paying with bitcoins or shopping with bitcoins no need to pay fee's it depends on the store.
and you can buy all you want in bitcoins and exchange it to other currency  Smiley

Well I think paypal have their own line of job here while bitcoin got also some other stuff to make people lives easier or convenient. Those two should be used or treated evenly.

Paypal is only popular only because it exist since long time, and bitcoin is still very new to majority of the people worldwide, but once they are aware about bitcoin they will never use Paypal.

Yes that is the advantage for paypal for now because it is known by most of all people and it got many user globally but really the danger to do transaction for paypal is when the person you transact with is file a dispute and youd be sorry for your money with that, although bitcoin is not really known but its continue rising ill gladly be happy if i can see it accepted in ebay by that it can surpass paypal.

But still there are stores out there that doesn't accept bitcoin to their payment. I hope they will accept soon bitcoin to their payment processor.
And this paypals domination with high charge will be stopped.

Yes now we are not far from that day when we would be able to spend our bitcoins directly to buy things, and its good to see that now many sites have started to accept bitcoins.
