What are your opinions on paypal or bitcoin for online shopping?

If I had BTC I'd use it for sure. For now it's so hard to have enough BTC to use only them.  Sad

It's paypal when I want to shop online on a none trusted site i can file a dispute anytime but when it comes to paying to a good online shop or paying a lend to a friend I will choose bitcoin both have their advantage and disadvantage i still don't want paypal to go down they could still co-exist to benefit us all ..

I too choose PayPal, when you are making use of PayPal as a buyer, you are sure of your money being secured by the way of dispute we can raise at any time once we find the product not up to our satisfaction. But when I go as seller I would prefer to use bitcoin only.

is this even a question i mean are these both even can be compare no i dont think so because paypal sucks when it comes to fees paypal have which is to much merchant is offering cheap stuff and services just because of low bitcoin fee which was not possible with paypal  people doing small transcations with bitcoins like 0.50$ which is not possible with paypal because if you will send someone 0.50$ then 0.36$ will be the fee and receiver will only get 0.14$

That's right, Bitcoin is superiour in every aspect. Bitcoin stimulates micro transactions, where PayPal is being ridiculous with their fees.

Basic PayPal fees.

Sellers fee : 3.4% of the total amount + €0.35.
Business related transactions : Starting from 1.5% of the total amount + €0.35, which highly depends on your sales from the last 30 days.
Non Profit : 1.5% of the total amount + €0.35.
International payments : 0.3-1% of the total amount + converting of currency fee.

Bitcoin fees.

Any kind of transaction : $0.01-$0.04 For sending.
Receiving money : FREE  Cool

And here amounts don't matter.

I choose Bitcoin, Bitcoin is the best, with bitcoin you can send payments without worrying about transaction fees, and payments are made fast and easy, you can also send unlimited amounts with bitcoin, and any amount can be stored in bitcoin, and you don’t have to worry about account freeze etc.

Paypal can't win. Bitcoin is way more advanced and built for the future.
Not only towards fees, but also the anonimity part.

Then paypal have a gigantic overhead because of staff etc. etc. Bitcoin don't, which means paypal can adjust their fees, but never complete with bitcoin in this regard.
A clear winner..

Yup bitcoin not even compare with paypal. Bitcoin is anonymous and very user friendly when compare with paypal. And paypal’s charges are very high. Transaction not transparent like a bitcoin transaction. It is very good then paypal.

Usually i used Bitcoin because it's better for my deals and i feel it's the safest payment method
With the Paypal chargeback it's a little risky method
The chargeback feature in PayPal is not a disadvantage as it may help you if you got scamed.
The problem is it can be misused.

Paypal is trusted payment processor but the chargeback's feature still risky for the buyers and sellers
That's why many traders prefer to use Bitcoin but it's usable like Paypal till now at least

I go bitcoin all the way.

Just how arrogant paypal charges it's users.
4% of EVERY transaction? That's plain crazy.
When bitcoin goes main stream those merchants will leave them instantly. Feeling robbed for so many years and for so many dollars..

I really see this happening. Bitcoin getting mass adoption and paypal losing 90% of their merchants.
No business can take such a big hit and it would mean paypal would go broke direct since their cost of employees, servers etc. are going up, while there revenue stream is going by 90%.

Bitcoin offcourse.
It's cheaper, fast and anonymous.
There is no way the current paypal setup can even compete with bitcoin... ever

That's true, paypal is cheating their customers with higher fees and there are also many hidden charges in paypal where as bitcoins transaction fees is cheap and there is no hidden fees in bitcoins, bitcoin is transparent and very soon people would get rid of paypal if they are aware about the benefits and fees of bitcoins and it can be operated 24/7 and it the online transfers are so quick as compared to paypal.
