I like both, and i will keep using both in the future.
In the future paypal will not be needed I think, the advantages and mostly the cost of bitcoin are too big.

Paypal have merchants on their side soo they are the big support for them, bitcoin have some investors and well even when bitcoin be everywhere i doubt the most of those merchants will use only bitcoin they will still offer both services.Something must change into bitcoin to make all people trust and be part of it.

Both of them are good and both of them have pros and cons.
One of the feature that i like paypal is that it is instant and buyer protection.
And the feature that i like bitcoin is the "anonymity" and the community using bitcoin.
I also like the buyer protection, but as a seller, you face many difficulties becouse of "unjustified" protection, when the customers scam you when they actually get the product and charge back. Even worse, chargeback with credit card company, so you have to pay even more fees.
But as a buyer, i also tend to feel safer with paypal. Unless with known stores/people.

Anything to do technically with computers you could use bitcoin and if you or from countries that don't accept payments from paypal such as India (if not a business account holder) then you have no choice but to find an alternative. So bitcoin is your choice there as well.

If I sell something and receive Bitcoins in my wallet, it gives me a save and good feeling. If I sell stuff for PayPal USD, then I am constantly worried that there might be a charge back. That's why I never use PayPal anymore.

the charge backs Benefits the buyer only right?

Bitcoin is the way to go for the sellers and PayPal is the way to go for the buyers.  I say Bitcoin is best for the seller because they can not be reversed.  The best way for the buyer is Paypal because they almost always side with the buyer when there is an issue.  That is why I do not use Paypal.

Yeah but still there are many people who still trade with PayPal for their bitcoins. PayPal should think about their reputation and stop the charge-backs that are way to easy for everyone and like banks have some kind of protection, Paypal should too adopt some methods and make it safe for both, the buyer and seller. BTC is reliable but still there isn't a reliable online wallet to use.

There’s no denying that, when it comes online payments, PayPal is still king these days. but when it comes to shopping bitcoin and paypal are the same. However, bitcoin offers several advantages over this online payment method that could eventually allow the cryptocurrency to establish dominance

Bitcoin may end up their way of Paypal if any huge BTC payment gateway becomes the defacto payment gateway for Bitcoin. Can't think of a mega payment gateway as an example..But you look at Coinbase, so many complaints! So many complaints because it got too big and complacent and they know people rely on them.

I prefer bitcoin than paypal, although at this time PayPal has a security system which is quite good and can be in the exchange in shopping stores anywhere, but in terms of transactions bitcoin is still better than that if using bitcoin need not bother to verify wallets such as PayPal  Smiley

What are your opinions on paypal or bitcoin for online shopping?

Obviously paypal can be used in more places at the moment, but Bitcoin will eventually be the market leader.  i cant wait cause i actually hate paypal with a passion, money grabing wee whores.    Grin

Of course bitcoin because;

1. Bitcoin doesn't limit your account for no reason.
2. You can send and receive as much as money you want.
3. You don't have to call support and wait for hours.
4. And more importantly you are sorta-kinda anon when you are sending money with bitcoin.

The only downside of paypal for me is it's charge back option. Yes, it is necessary to protect the buyer or seller but then it can be misused with people scamming. They use the chargeback even if the deal went smooth without you knowing that your paypal is already negged. I like bitcoin because I can accept it from whoever without the risk of loosing it because it has no reversal optuon but then once you sent it to a mistaken address you can't get it back. Both has a downside but both works well also. It just depends on where I use it and to whom I receive or send the payment to.

Charge back sucks if the deal is about digital goods, but if item traded is a physical goods then nothing to worry about it if you have everything well documented. It's just Bitcoin and Paypal users who doesn't like the mix of this two.

But seller who wanted to scam could send an empty envelope with tracking number to evade dispute process, according to a reply here. How to overcome such scammers?
Try to make an opening video, sometimes it helps. Or, if size matters, you can measure the envelope and check if the item would have fit in it if the scammer really sends it. If the envelope is smaller then the item, it's another fact to prove your right.
Another thing to consider. A friend of mine has received some little plastic something (like an earphone dust plug for a smartphone, so basically a little nothing) instead of the phone itself. He opened a claim at paypal, and the decision was to send that little piece of plastic back to the seller (buyer pays return post of course) to grt the money back. Post was nearly equal to the price of the scammer's item, so sometimes it's better if you receive an empty envelope Smiley

The fee for paypal is quite high. When it integrates bitcoin, the fee might be reduced. I will use it more.

they will not integrate bitcoin, they are kind of competitors(one is against the buyers the other against the sellers), they said something about integrating it in the past but it was not even an announcement, it seems they forget about it completely

I would bet my life as well that they won't integrate us in the near future, maybe even ever! They are very conscious of what kind of competition we are for them and to boost our ecosystem, even though they would profit as well from doing so, I don't think that will happen!
