Is there some news about the signature campaign? I saw some days ago that PBMining wants to open another type of signature campaign Smiley

Don't think they need it

Why do u think that PB does not need a sig campaign ?

So, I just registered on PBMining. I am thinking to buy 1 GH/s but.. it look like the minimum contract is 25 GH/s for 5 years. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You can buy 1 Gh/s from AMHash for 0.0012 BTC. Like others have said though, that'll just get you dust.

If u chose to go for cloudmining.website, u'll get 1 GHs @ 0.001 BTC Wink

Does cloudmining.website subtract any maintenance fees?  Their website doesn't mention it.  They have a 10GH/s minimum order.  Also looks like it is a temporary promotional rate.  Seems like a very good deal, but they are new and unproven.

If the goal is to spend less money upfront, then AMHash is a better deal than PBmining.  If the goal is to have a higher long-term ROI, then PBmining is the better choice.  Personally, I would rather have a higher ROI.  25GH/s in USD terms is under $15.  Bitcoin is now over $400 (yay!!).  As I mentioned before, if risking $15 on 25GH/s makes you uncomfortable, then Bitcoin mining is not for you.

***What are the payout differences between PBmining and AMHash?  Let's assume we own 1TH/s: ***

PBmining: Looking at bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty.  Plug in 1TH/s, we would receive 0.08889BTC/week at current difficulty.  Simple.

AMhash: The payout rate before fee subtraction is 25/ (difficulty * 4.295) BTC per unit per second.  1 unit = 1GH/s.  So, the payout before fees for one week is ( 25 / ( 39,603,666,252 * 4.295 ) ) * 1000 units * (60*60*24*7 seconds) = 0.00000000014697 * 1000 * 604800 = 0.08888746BTC/week.  That's pretty much exactly the same as PBmining.  Then the maintenance fees must be subtracted from that amount.

The maintenance fee is 1.89*10^(-8) USD per unit per second or $0.01141 per GH per week. $0.01141 * 1000 units = $11.41 USD

The exchange rate is based on bitstamp.net 24h average.  Let's assume the 24 hour average is $390.  $11.41/$390 = 0.02925641BTC

The AMhash payout for a one week period is then 0.08888746 - 0.02925641 = 0.05963105BTC

***How much does it cost for 1TH, how often do I get paid, and what am I paid?***

PBmining: 1TH is currently 1.4BTC.  Payouts are weekly.  You receive 0.08889BTC/week at current difficulty.

AMhash: 1TH is currently 1.21BTC.  Payouts are daily.  The past 7 days of dividends have been 0.00000845 0.00000830 0.00000824 0.00000805 0.00000795 0.00000799 0.00000788 = 0.00005686BTC per unit for the week.  0.00005686 * 1000 = 0.05686BTC.  This number is a little lower than 0.05963105BTC, because the value of a Bitcoin has risen over the past week.

***What's the better deal?  PBmining or AMhash?***

The current upfront price difference for 1TH is that AMhash is 0.19BTC cheaper than PBmining.  If the value of a Bitcoin is $390 USD for the next 8 weeks, then you will pay 0.02925641 * 8 = 0.23405128BTC in maintenance fees to AMhash, which negates any upfront savings and makes AMhash more expensive.

Unless you have a fear of long-term commitment, PBmining is by far the better deal.

Buying now is a bit risky since noone can predict difficulty and conversion rates for the future.

On the other hand, once I ROI on pbmining I might reinvest 1/5th of the outcome into new contracts at the end of the month.

It's hard to determine it... It depends on what will be the mining difficulty of BTC in the future, and this is not so predictable, so you can try some calculation by your own using some profit calculator on the web... i can't help you more than this...

Cheers

Ohh, this is not good. Is there some 2FA involved?
I mean, I used to do some whole account buys on GAW, in time, where email change was not also possible in a way, that seller disabled 2FA, we used escrow, which gave me his login details after payment and I logged in and enabled 2FA on my phone.
This way, seller lost his access to account forever. He would request new password (had to be jerk for that), but it would render account inaccessible for both sides...because of 2FA set for me only...

Well, there is no 2FA on the account, but anyone hacking into the account must also hack into the email address to be able to do anything. Not unlikely to happen as people who try out the cool SuperQuickProfit.exe posted by some Newbie account is likely to have all of his accounts and passwords exposed, but not everybody falls for such things.

As for you, honestly, why all this extra trouble and risk. Spread your risk and try and build upon mining return instead of risky extra's. Which I'm sure you already do. PBMining pays a good share as long as they don't go poof. No need to sell account. And if return is not good enough, then nothing is, and we're all doomed.

I get your point, I´m trying to asses possibilities and risk involved and decide after.
As i wrote, i have experience in buy/sell multiple accounts on various services. Personally, I like official marketplace, where you can buy/sell as it suits you - in cloud controlled environment...shame PB does not have one...
My point is, that I like the idea to invest a lot just from start, don't reinvest and have option to cash out any time - even if the payout is very good, ROI and profit over ROI is almost guaranteed by math...Just to have exit option, when you see good opportunity elsewhere, or you need your initial investment for real life...obviously lowered somewhat by actual price, demand etc.

Is there

You actually can sell a PB account. I have bought someones account from them in September. However PB does not do it for you, you do it yourself. First by changing the email of the account to the new owner. PB did this for us, then the new owner can change the payout address to his own and change the password to his own.  Which is what I did.
It's mostly the buyer and seller doing it, not PB.
I'm getting a nice payout from the cloudmining site. However I never was able to determine the length of the contract.
