yes i agree with you cryptocurrency and internet is not a crime. cryptocurrency and internet exist to simplify our lives. but there will be bad people who will use cyptocurrency for crime and the target of these bad guys is beginners who don't do research before investing. they just follow the HYIP and will benefit quickly. this is wrong thinking. to make a profit in investing crypto we have to work hard to analyze the market and be patient with fluctuations in coin prices.

Ah. It's a half half to be fair.When a lot of people use the internet it's a huge mess, doing transactions in person it's very hard to get scammed and when they go and buy some stuff of a major retailor and it arrives it easy to think that no one would ever scam on the internet.
It's hard to teach this thing, but for people who are frequent users and do understand everything, it's hard to make excuses for them when they get scammed by pretty obvious Ponzi's, HYIP's, etc. I mean look at bitconnect, can't believe people fell for that...

You are very right, people should be blamed for their own actions on the internet. Most times, lack of knowledge or ignorance is really the cause of all these happenings, what you don't know is bigger than you, yet without any knowledge you get yourself to invest in what you have no idea about,what were you thinking? Infact I believe the major reason would be Greed, after seeing the reward, you just want to get rich without any research. Whatever is the outcome is what they deserve.

Greed and ignorance are one of the main reason why a lot of people gets scammed on the internet. A lot of people put their money without even knowing what they are getting involved in that is why a lot of scammer targets people who are new to crypto or investment. That is why when investing it is your sole responsibility to educate your self and to find out about the team's legitimacy in providing the business.

a large wave of new internet users are experiencing the same thing, unfortunately there is no control system from various businesses like this. only a few review sites. I actually regretted the actions of the victims who finally used the reputation of bitcoin negatively to others as a form of hatred. Generally the victims are interested because the ponzi invitations are widely spread on social media accounts, especially from their own friends.

People have been getting scammed via every new technology for probably centuries, and the internet is just a new medium by which scammers do their thing. Anyone remember the Home Shopping Network from at least the 1990s'? I'd call their prices a scam and it was all done by television and telephone.
And certainly people are responsible (or should at least take responsibility) for protecting themselves from scammers on the internet, but we all know it's still going to happen regardless. Fear and greed are very powerful motivators and those emotions are played upon by scammers...constantly. That's why there have been so many people being taken in by these ico's and garbage altcoins that will never be worth anything. You can change technology but human nature remains the same, always.

I'm actually a scam on the first time when I was newbie but I have lots of knowledge about scam the only problem is when I was invested my BTC in cloud mining and investment site I just attracted to many users who giving real proof if withdrawal that is why they encourage me to invest on those HYIP or pyramid scheme that I thought it will give me a passive income. I was super down at that time my family 1-day one eat and I am also doing captcha typing which is too hard to earn before.
But even I've scammed before I still lucky they encourage me to search and found this forum and learn a lot here on the forum. So thanks to them that they bring me here where I sell some services and join on any bounty that gives me enough money to feed my family.
So I hope those newbies should go directly here on the forum and ask anything related to crypto if it is scam or not so that they can avoid use scam websites early.
But even I've scammed before I still lucky they encourage me to search and found this forum and learn a lot here on the forum. So thanks to them that they bring me here where I sell some services and join on any bounty that gives me enough money to feed my family.

You are right, the fault really lies with the person be it the fraudster or the victim. Greed and not understanding a business is why people are always fooled, especially for those who do not understand technology. We also can not blame a tool as an outlet, people must be given education and understanding of fraud.

Yeah, they are to be blamed if they get scammed to some extent. It is really sad they can't see whats real and whats fake. Well, greed is what that makes them blind. They see offers that are too tempting, that are too good to be true, but they don't seem to think twice, jump into the trap and then starts to cry. But, they do learn something out of it. At least they become more careful next time before trying out anything new.

Indeed. They're just using it to benefit from what they know and what others don't. Humans are becoming more evil. Using their knowledge in a not proper way just for their own good. That sucks but we cannot change nor do anything about it. That's why, we, as an individual must teach people we personally know, what we know for them not to be the next victim of scammers. Humans are also the one who can stop humans. Internet and technology are just our armors and weapon and we are the one deciding whether to use it for good and evilness.

When I was new in the investment sector, I felt too much confused about HYIP, Pyramid scheme, ads clicking money earning ways! I invested in many HYIP projects and most of the time I got scammed! Then I stopped everything and started learning by myself! Learning is the best answer for every confusion, so, newbies should research and educate themselves first, later comes investment!
It's an unwritten rules to never invest into something fishy like Ponzi or even HYIP. Even there's saying that if it's too good to be true then get away from it.Some people are just easily taken over by their greedines thinking that they will get some profit out of thin air while in reality is that their money is gonna be the one will be gone.
There should be some warning in every crypto wallet not to join ponzi or HYIP to help such people from being scammed I guess.

You are right, this is a common mistakes. HYIP is very eye catchy with those high returns I admit I joined and was a victim too from few HYIP websites and I was the one to blame for being naive and lack of knowlegde but I move on and learned from those mistakes. actually it is difficult plus it's a bit boring, not infrequently many people get scam, but atleast you will learn how to choose good project but it not accurate 100% you still can be get scamed even the display of project is promising, but its ok atleast you increase your chance from not being scamed.

especially greed is a factor that people get caught up in unclear projects. basically the scammer project gives a big lure, so it can capture the victims. laziness and lack of knowledge can also be victims of deception in the crypto world, and even if possible outside of crypto as well.my suggestion to be active in a community, it's better if in your area you have a community. and always update the news everyday, to minimize the next koraban by scammers.

Sometimes it all depends on the initial notion people get about crypto investment, so it's not really cool putting the blame of them entirely. For instance, if I know nothing about crypto and a close pal who doesn't trade or do bounties/airdrops but only invest in HYIP gives me the orientation that he is into crypto and it's all about the HYIP schemes. If I see it as an opportunity and follow his path, then get scammed (which is a must for HYIP), you don't entirely put the blame on me since I knew nothing about crypto and got the wrong orientation. The only way you can blame such person is because he didn't do proper findings and relied on Information gotten from his friend into HYIP scams. Jump to:
