I lost 5000$ in slope wallet and I heard people saying that only those who have used their wallet to claim free airdrops or NFT are affected, this is a lie, I've never used my wallet for any airdrop or connect to any platform before, no sending out from my wallet for months and all coins in the wallet are from binance exchange. ..

Use a wallet to store your assets with a trusted wallet. Losing money from the wallet is nothing new, I've experienced it too. Although the developer says the platform does not back up Private Keys or Phrase Keys, this is hard to believe for certain wallets. I recommend using Trust Wallet, if you want to buy NFT, then you can connect with Binance.

This is really confusing and scary right now. If these things really happen as you mention, then we still might not know how much of our wallet is affected and when our wallet is going to empty. We are in a moment of tense. Let's see what happens and what news comes out next . And there is another scary season that might be coming if any news comes out that Solana is responsible for this hack. I don't know what is going to happen. I am really very scared right now.

Solana is a technologically bad blockchain that could be hacked into, that is the only thing to talk about right now. I know that not many people would like to hear this, and even right now the price hasn't crashed and burned like it did with Luna, which it should have. But that is the reality, to me one SOL doesn't worth 10 cents right now, and anyone who buys currently are opening themselves up for any future trouble.

I made my friend sell his SOL a few days before this hack, saying "maybe not tomorrow but one day there will be a problem" and just a few days later this happens, he was very grateful to me. I am telling you all the same, sell it right now and get out.
Exactly, this is why I am leaving solana block chain for good, too many hacks in its life time, its has always been buggy since day one but I thought things will get better with the project, I was wrong all along.

Sorry for your loss. Yeah, the fault is 100% on Slope, not Phantom or any dApp. They accidentally leaked wallet mnemonics through an event logging service https://twitter.com/Zellic_io/status/1554936151194025985
Really? But I have someone that got his phantom wallet cleared out just like mine, anyways I just dont think I can coop with Solana anymore I am not getting back my 5k its gone for good.

It will get to a time where solana will be abandoned like Tron blockchain, the only reason why Tron is still alive is the gas fee on Tron - USDT and others, the smart contract is an absolute failure, and the same fate will happen to Solana, I warned people about Luna too but they don't listen.

Honestly I know its slope fault that this hack takes place but I don't trust solana, the project team are schemers to me, when solana was 200$+ another have took place and funds are lost and they just tell everyone to move on, just like that, when the coin was on its all time high? Having this coin is like a time bomb that will eventually go off.

People are too easy to take BS explanation by the developers. The developers know everything. I meant they known so well about the truth but they were saying if slope was only the reason why so many people got hacked.
The fact that during the attack so many people can't access their wallet, solana explorer and many dapps feature that will help them all to create the new wallet or moving their money to the exchange site. Would people getting reimbursed by the developers who made this fault?

After the hack that happened there won't be many users who trust even back up with a new wallet that is transferred to another wallet. Slope is a fatal error because it does not carry out maintenance and scalable audits. If I see from their official statement on the medium that they are still actively diagnosing the lost user assets. Then from his official Twitter, he proposed negotiations with the hacks in order to return the assets that had been taken. Like giving up and not wanting to replace lost assets.

Im sorry for your lose but this purely slope's fault. This wallet was storing people's seedphrase and so many people were making bunch of complaints about their money. it seems like there will be not reimbursement. I know that if 5k for personal crypto user was a lot of money to be lost.

Finally, everything has been cleared up, the cause is not from Solana but from a new wallet brand.
We should limit the use of new wallets, only popular ones like metamask or trust wallet should be used.

Condolences to OP, 5k $ is not a small amount, hope Slope will compensate some victims who are using their wallets, they are responsible for the mistakes made to their customers.

I have never heard of this wallet but only have heard about the hack that has happened. The hackers these days are intelligent that really know where the flaws of a system are.
Sorry for the loss OP but this is the reason why we must be vigilant in the wallets that we use. Whether you use most transactions from Binance exchange, it's already outside of them and totally from slope's jurisdiction with this incident.

This cyber criminals are always one step of the game mate, and this developers should have known better. So it's really hard to fathom that they have leaked their mnemonics in plain text? how stupid is the Slope programmers are? One mistake is what it takes for his hackers to exploit that kind of vulnerabilities.
I don't know how they would end up with those logs and the hackers seem to have the idea and know the backlogs. That's why the backdoor of each system mostly for these wallets should be secured. And it's hard to trust the wallets that are quite new and the reason why many sticks to the oldest ones is because of the proven security and reputation.

Again, this are criminals, so it's like those who rob a bank, so they case everything up before attacking. And the slope developers of their mobile are so stupid to used a centralized servers in sending mnemonic code in plain text.

And there is where the hackers found the exploit, have access or hack the access of that sentry servers get all the mnemonic code and then siphon everything they can.

All I can say is this is criminal negligence on their part.

What wallet did you use? If you don't have Solana Slope, then things get interesting.
Can you post your address?
I lost more when attacking Terra/Luna and don't use unpopular ecosystems after that.I hope this is not your last money.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss mate, $5k is a huge amount of money, and I know it's really hard to see your wallet being drained because someone from Slope didn't go their job right.

OP if you still have some tokens or coins on any new wallet now is the time to do the right thing, always go with popular wallets like Trust wallet and even open source wallets are better, you have 5000$ worth of assets I believe you should own a hardware wallet already?... It is well.

This is why new wallets are dangerous, honestly this is my first time of hearing about this Slope wallet, people have been warned severally never to use new wallets because you will never know how reliable they are, this is the end result, sorry for your loss and please stick with popular crypto wallets.

I am very sorry about your loss. If what you say is true, it is the obligation of the Slope developer to be able to compensate its users for their stupidity.
