There are many people who still don't know about bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. I don't know about others I am talking about my country and about my society. Whenever I ask from people about or talk about the Bitcoin. They ask what is this?

How much there is who face this problem?
I don't see any problem with that. I'm not surprised because bitcoin is still not recognized by the government the reason why there are still more people didn't pay attention to it, there are people already know that bitcoin really exists but they choose to ignore it. Here in the place where i live, almost 5 percent of us are using bitcoin or any cryptocurrency, the rest are still not interested even though we have been tried so many times to explain to them how does it works.

Dude don't worry, you are not alone Grin. I'm pretty sure that most of us here are feeling like the way you do and as well as struggling on finding someone who can relate to unto us. But may I know first, on what country do you reside? I ask because maybe the crypto adoption there is wider and it just so happened that you are unfortunate to meet people having the same interest. Try to roam further. But well, if you came from a third world country like me then I can't blame you lol. It's really rare to find a fellow crypto enthusiast. And in my perspective, the reason behind all of this are the cause and effects of poverty. Our government tend to give more focus first on giving solutions regarding corruption, crimes, food shortages, transportation problems. Digitalisation/Modernization is the least priority.

Is it really a problem? It's very common that everyone will not get the proper access to know everything. You don't know everything. By this way, cryptocurrency is still a new thing to those where it is not legalized and prohibited by government. Education system is also responsible for this. After all, it is not surprising to me to face such situation.

There is nothing to be surprised about that. It is expected to know that there are still people who do not know about bitcoin because it is not legalized yet in every part of the world. Aside from that, there are some countries that prohibit their people to use bitcoin, in this case, it will limit the people to use and spread the word or even know and research about bitcoin.

It's not surprising as there are still lots of places where technology like internet services is not yet being leanred. How would they
will know this new system if there's o internet service yet.

Even there are already adoptions that take place from big known businesses it's isn't enough to reached all places of the world,
maybe in the next 5-10 years chances that wide adoptions will take place.

People dont know it yet because only people in the bitcointalk aside from investors are capable of doing research about it.

Anyways, we are not yet on the mainstream adoption that is why few people do not have the slightest idea what is bitcoin. But that doesn't mean it can affect bitcoin especially in its price action.

Not many people understand or even know about bitcoin in my country. It is not a shame at all. Bitcoin is an invention for future and since they live in the current time, they dont eant to waste their time learning new things.

My solution: dont talk about bitcoin infront of them.

I told this a lot of times since I am living in a province where people don't know about bitcoin. People may know it but it is either they look at it as a scam or they don't have any idea how to use it and don't want to be a part of it. There are some that approached me not because I am using it but because people knew I am earning from it.

Despite the fact that in 2020 the number of people investing in cryptocurrency increased by 200%, most people do not know about bitcoin,or do not trust it. I think it's just a matter of time, and there will be more of us.

That's right, Bitcoin just takes time to get popular in the world, and now Bitcoin is doing it slowly,
mass adoption continues, paypal recently made it curious that they added crypto currency on their platform,
of course this is good for the popularity of bitcoin.
I think adoption of this technology does not work on that way. Knowing this technology does not determine that an individual is adapting the use of Bitcoin as a currency, likewise with governments. Indeed it is still in progress for over a decade.. Many people are now knowing the existence of the technology but as I've said, there's only a portion who are actually using it. So the question should be asked is "Will it be enough for an individual to just be aware of this technology?"

This is not unusual. Many countries still dont recognize bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, the reason why it is not popular and people are not aware of their existence.

The same goes here, I only have 2 friends who knows about bitcoin. But if you ask other people about bitcoin its either they are clueless or knows about it only as scam based on the news that they saw on tv and not taking time to research if its true.

If the government recognize bitcoin and implemented full adoption then its the start for bitcoin to be known widely. However this is uncertain since bitcoin is decentralized that they cant control.

Bitcoin- in bullish time

bitcoin is popular but sometimes when I give someone an understanding, they just ask what is the benefit of bitcoin, how to use it? Bitcoin is crypto money that can only be used on the internet but can make money in the exchange and sale of shares, I have to explain in more detail sometimes they need authentic proof when I can give examples, and I have to provide a lot of information and risks. whatever will happen.
That is because they are still in the doubts. People like this want to see it physically and only they believe when you can show it to them and when they can see it to you. You can't make them understand and you are just wasting your time for them helping to know Bitcoin and explaining its purpose. Let them make themselves to discover it.

Yes, because they are use to fiat money in the country that is why they are finding it difficult to understand bitcoin in the country. Such people who don't still know bitcoin are those people who live in a country where bitcoin is not legalized.

Now I don't care with that, there is no advantage to me for those who don't know bitcoin and other crypto currency. Because bitcoin is already popular, sooner or later they will know by themselve and find more information about it.

I always find a situation where I talk about bitcoin and they didn't know about it they always underistimate against. Unless, they ask me about bitcoin then I'll be pleasure to explain about it. Let them know bitcoin by themselve, yeah I believe there will be many people who will be interested to bitcoin in the future, it just the matter of time.

Where did you get those numbers? We cant really actually tell the precise number of increase on what we do have now on this year when it comes to awareness or adoption but

its pretty clear that it is way more than that we do have compared into those early years of bitcoins existence.Adoption is on another level now even though it isnt into its fullest

but now we are really getting some recognition now and that what really matter most.Sooner or later when bitcoin is really making up some noise then everybody
will surely be aware of its existence.

There are still some countries which bitcoin is not legalized that is making many of their citizens not to have any idea on digital currency in the country.
I think it's not a hindrance for someone who wants to know about anything, moreover if their country is against with bitcoin they are more likely to know and research about it due to curiosity that will strike their heads.

Many government are still seeing bitcoin as a scam currency  which is not centralized in the world that is making some country not to allow such currency in their country because the currency is not control by the government in the country.
Nah, I don't think "scam" is the reason why some governments are not into bitcoin, it is just that a precaution for them not to take any hype from what is on the trend. Besides, people are free to use any kind of currency they want if their country isn't that strict.

Bitcoin is well legalized in my country where you can eat and pay with bitcoin in any restaurant in the community without any question of paying with Bitcoin which everyone are use to in the country. Every citizens in the country are use to bitcoin investment which many people have use it to grow their businesse in the country.
Here too, I noticed a massive changes after 2017's overhype on cryptocurrencies with bitcoin reaching $20K. I can even pay with bitcoin in here, like electricity bills, water bills, etc. I hope there'll be more of crypto concepts ahead of us.

In my country young generation knowing very speedily but middle age men or old aged men not knowing about it and i think they don't need to know instantly. I think gradually they will also know about this market. But i think to know anything at present time is very easy because internet is all over the world and anybody who wants to know deeply can get help from it. So nothing is problem right now.

thanks.

It happens because most people are guided by mainstream media and in many cases only popular entertainment programs, what means these people don't watch news.

This is a major block to mainstream adoption of digital currency. The trouble is that majority of the 7bn people on Earth fall into that category where finance and fintech is not the topic they have an interest in.

They get feed of the news and if any news on TV was to cover crypto (I doubt there has been any) it would be negative and how it is unsafe, so automatically people start believing. It is a great problem but not one that can be resolved easily - time is crucial in helping to address this.
