Honestly people aren't learning anything, I am so disappointed in the way people think nowadays, believing they can actually double their bitcoin, as a newbie, the moment I saw the giveaway on binance official Twitter account I knew it was a hack

People will always fall for scam which is because of the greed embedded in many humans. Once some people heard of any means to double their capital, they do forget all their investments instincts letting greed to take over their better part. maybe people need to understand more that no one will present you an investment options that will double your capital

I was really shocked to see that people fell for such trick, even if it was Cz or the rest of them, why would you send bitcoin to them just like that, greed is indeed a sickness,if they weren't sick,I'm sure they wouldn't have sent their bitcoin to whoever that claims to double it, people should learn to avoid reoccurrance, no free money.

OP sounds like the recent hacking of twitter accounts of celebrities not into their consideration at all. I mean people would not have gone to believe doubling schemes if there was no twitter accounts of highly famous people involved. So, it must be an attempts with well planning. The lessons we should learn here must be, we should not trust all social media including emails because any hacking may happen at any time and hackers may try to scam like this.

We cannot assume all the people are having well awareness against all types of ponzi schemes. Because we cannot assume all common people are having experience throughout various Internet activities. This is the reason why scammers still keep on attempting because whenever new people are entering into Internet, these hackers are finding them as possible candidates.

In this case, Binance and other well-known Twitter accounts had a lot of authority, which allowed scammers to convince newcomers of the reality of doubling the balance. In addition, these newcomers do not understand how the cryptocurrency market works. Otherwise, they would understand that there is no such way to double your balance in 1 day.
Now you said it. There was really someone who really didn't understand how Bitcoin or crypto work but did think you can x2 balance in a short amount of time? If there is then I really want to know how they able to get hold of some Bitcoin.

Some people knows about this doubling scheme, of course it's a scam but using the accounts of the big names offers to double their bitcoin or cryptos then you really think it's legit. Hackers are really taking advantage using the accounts of influencers.
You're correct, those scammers cut many unaware, because of these notable twitter accounts they hacked into to carry out their evill acts. Even the elite in the world of cryptocurrency were not alerted as many fell for this before the news went viral on social medias about the hacks. Those scammers understand the greediness that's with humans, and took the opportunity to scam gullible cryptocurrency holders.

Most of the newcomers want to earn money in the shortcut way and dream too much. They don't learn even when others are harmed. Some people learn after hurting themselves.
No matter how much you are warned, the newcomers will remember for a maximum of a few days and then if they step on the wrong path again, they will not correct the mistake until they are harmed.

I found it hilarious that people still fall for the doubling scheme. I would love to see how those people react if a vending machine with "Put in 50 cents to receive 1 buck" sign. How come people like them still exist, even got their hand on bitcoin as well?

It's complete greed that consume people who fall for this scam, they managed to confuse themselves that the giveaways are real, they know how valuable bitcoin is but still they decide to take the risk, it's their money and I don't feel pity for them.
Yes, there is nothing to be sorry for in this matter, because everyone is free to make their own decisions without having to follow the advice of others, even though they have suffered great losses, it has simply been considered by himself.

Because the hacked twitter accounts are big people in crypto. so many believe and immediately send Bitcoin to get more rewards than the bitcoin that we send. That's a lot of people who experienced fraud on the case, it is really sad. People believe because the posts through tweets from big people in crypto. I no longer follow the development of this case, whether the perpetrators have been found or not.

There's no such instant double money in cryptocurrency that's why we need to careful and knowledgeable so, we can avoid all those scams and fake giveaways.
So this, this should be always they remember and should bear in their mind that there's no instant money given on the internet. This an old scam strategy but still there are numerous people in crypto space who are newbies and didn't know yet what will the outcome because they only think a sudden profit could possibly have but the fact it ended up nothing.

A big criticize should be on the security of twitter. That platform was a big crap.
Not only in Twitter scam case. It should be in general that any kind of doubler investments are usually end up to scam. Think first if how they can generate profit for only doubling investment, unless if they will run away and take all the fund they'd collected. Naive and lazy people will always fall on this trap.

Because they're blinded by greed so fell for that kind of scam and it can still exist. Double your money? Come on this is the year 2020 already. Really ever underestimate people's stupidity.
It's the reason why they fall for that kind of scam. Being greedy for profit can also be the reason why people lose too much money instead of earning. For me, we can't blame them for falling and getting scammed on such giveaways since not everyone is fully aware of this kind of scheme in social media that is why they easily believe in what they saw on twitter. We all know that all the twitter accounts who got hacked are well-known exchanges and people in the field of cryptocurrencies so, probably this might be the reason as well why they fall on it. There's no such instant double money in cryptocurrency that's why we need to careful and knowledgeable so, we can avoid all those scams and fake giveaways.

It's much more on because bitcoin was a pseudonymous and that makes the scammers will be unable to be traced. BTW there was also a lot of people who have been searching him right now.

I believe people can fall for anything if they don't know what they are getting into, for some it's simply greediness and for others it's about something they know nothing about, they fail to seek for knowledge that's why they fall for such scam

It's really insane to know that people actually fell for the Twitter Bitcoin giveaway scam. When will people stop being greedy? In this era, people still believe in money doubler schemes? These are some questions which keep surfacing in my mind when I saw whalebot alert tweeting transactions from that scam. We need to wise up, and use our common sense. All these keep denting the image of Bitcoin. Also, the Twitter hack might be an indirect attack to Jack Dorsey, the founder.

It's a call for Twitter and other organizations to upgrade their security. See how easy it was to hack popular Twitter accounts , then I ask if the firewall and other security modules were inplace. It's high time 2FA is taken seriously too, but when will people learn not to fall for common scams 🤔. Even till date, people still fall for crypto giveaway scams on Twitter and Telegram.

most people belive that kind of scam is very new to crypto world and just trying to invest their money on crypto money, i have friends that really new to crypto and he fall into this kind of scam he is sending about 0.3 btc to the scammer address with hope that scammer will send 2x of the amount to his address, really sad to see scammer take advantage of newbie that just trying to invest on crypto.

This money doubling scam is not new and even I once fell for a similar scam when I was new to crypto but luckily bitcoin was not that expensive that time like it is now so I just lost a small amount.

So if you are newbie you will always have to pay extra attention because scammers are lurking in every corner.

People still fall for these doubling scams and majority of the users are newbies who are attracted to the doubling as they have no idea about the market or how BTCitcoin works or generated, many of these doubling scams make the users think that they will be using those to invest in some other projects or getting these as mining rewards and it is a common mistake by the new users and when they try with low amounts they usually get the amounts back and then end up loosing when they send a bigger amount.

It is strange that there are still some people who believe in doubling schemes, even though there has been a lot of education related to this.
Maybe greed has taken hold of them, so they don't think rationally anymore. Regarding the case of many famous people Twitter being hacked,
and many newbies are victims of scams. This is another proof that people are not careful in making decisions and there are still many hoping
to make money instantly. Just remember we live not in a fairytale world.
