I think that only a minority of people act so stupid and sell digital gold at such a relatively low price. Only confident people who believe in cryptocurrency will survive in the market.

When everyone saw the rise of bitcoin. bought in large quantities. He grew up and greed pressed. He saw that BITCOIN began to fall in price. And decided to sell it now. So it has not become less. In the end, no one knows if it falls below 1000. Either it starts to rise. Smiley

Michael Moro, who is a CEO of a major crypto trading company, talks about how people who bought into Bitcoin at the beginning of 2017 at $1000, are now starting to sell their coins. Is this an indication of massive FUD? Is this the time where we should buy and take advantage of the FUD sellers?

When did you guys first buy Bitcoin, what was the price of BTC and are you going to panic sell now?

Source: ~~snip~~

I think this is just to create more FUD to read that news. I feel that those who bought at $1000 last year had been sold their bitcoin when it hit $10,000 or if they missed the all time high they might sell it when it starts to decline. It's too late to react and sell it now.

None of these FUDs will make me panic. As far as I can see, the people who are involved in this kind of sale are nothing but weak hands. They can sell all their holdings in bitcoin if they like. It will rather give strong people the opportunity to get in a very cheap price.

Nice try CNN, I bought nearly all of mine below $1000 & I’ve only sold about 10%. Definitely holding through to after the next halvening. There will be fireworks then.

It's CCN, not CNN :p I've misread that name quite a lot too. Then I visit their website and see it has a very crappy design, sometimes with even crappier articles.
Not really a source that I'd put a lot of trust in.

They're clearly trying to profit from their name being similar to CNN's.

I mean, this particular piece of news could be true, but they're basing this of off the words of one CEO of an OTC crypto trading firm.

of course it is FUD, the article is just hypothesizing on people's motivation, how the hell can they know who is selling and why?

I want to play devil's advocate here and say that this dump might be a smokescreen for a massive pump that might happen once the SEC has approved the ETF's. They need to buy coins at the lowest price possible and I think this has been a orchestrated dump to push the price down in preparation for the huge pump that is coming.  Huh Roll Eyes

You have been warned, this might all be smoke and mirrors my friends.  Roll Eyes  When large media platforms start publishing crap like this, then you should sit up and take notice.  Wink

Well, I don't think that it is a blanket statement because there are many investors who have invested considering long-term scenario and selling at this level is much early, in my honest opinion. Bitcoin and entire crypto industry are still in the early phase of development and anyone getting involved even today is an early adopter in my honest opinion. Definitely, there might be the investors who want to exit from the market but they are in minorities.

In my opinion it is redundant news. The point is that the panic sales have already started, and sells from 4k by owner and it doesn't matter from which price he has got BTC. It is as though, who bought BTC from 1k signed a contract to sell when the price fell to 4k. I don't understand why everybody are trying to find a reason behind drop, it is just decrease.

Any body could cook up any story to add more FUD to the already bleeding market. One thing is that this storm will soon be over. Is just a case of heavy manipulation from some external forces who are willing to buy cheap. Just same way people were caught with the bear, same way the bull run will come when the sons of men are relax and some will just cry a river.

So what, let them, let the price drops back to 1000$ so I can buy it again at that price. We will see who will benefit more, the ones who are selling now or the ones who are buying now... That's just another shitty crappy news segment, so all the people who have bitcoin would sell now, right before it'll go back up(ok, maybe in 6months or even earlyer, idc)

I think it is just another article to create FUD in the last hodlers, make the price drop even more to make these times even better for those who are looking for a nice long-term investment opportunity. It's just a great time to buy now and wait for couple of years for the next upswing.

Step-by-step guide:

1. Buy now
2. Hold and wait for next upswing
3. Sell
4. Make a nice profit

Where is my ring of blades...
if it was so easy to track what people are doing with their bitcoins that even a shitty news site like the one you quoted could have an statistic like this, then the governments wouldn't have resisted bitcoin's adoption so much as they are doing now Cheesy
there simply isn't any way of knowing who is doing what with their bitcoins and when they bought and when they sold their coins. anything they claim is simply their imagination.

the funny part of it is that not so long ago CCN was constantly publishing bullish news because price went from $6330 to $6350 and they were seeing moon!

A very funny thing to read such "news." Of course someone can get afraid of the current situation and sell, or maybe just because of the need of money and the inability to get money from other sources, but the fact is that prices are now relatively low to sell, especially if you bought at 1k and still have good profits.

Then they didn't know anything about the market. I think they could sell when BTC was 18-20K. So if they start right now, they will loose.

Lol CNN getting involved to FUD the market?  I doubt you can get the statistics that those who bought at 1000 dollars are selling now, that is just a mere thought, no fact behind.  Those who bought at 1000 dollars had sold their holding when Bitcoin is on its way to its ATH last year.  Remember the spike in price last year does not happen in just one day so there are plenty of room for the holders to sell at a profit last year and even during the decline this year.  So I guess this is just adding salt to the wound.  FUD is so strong, an indication that there is someone behind this and that Bitcoin is preparing to skyrocket again.  BAKKT even moved to January next year, so yeah, they decided to move it so that they have plenty of time to buy cheap bitcoin.

I had BTC when it was around 200 USD, sadly I was just a small time trader back then so i sold it when price goes up and now works and get paid with cryptocurrency and changed it to bitcoin, so like buwaytress,

I didn't buy any but certainly I've been earning virtually all my income no longer in fiat, so in a sense, I've been buying in at every price Bitcoin's ever been at.

I can't deny the fact that people are selling out of panic because the time is hard and unpredictable! The way way bitcoin price came down to the current level from 6500 level, is indeed a trigger for the panic! So who have just invested in bitcoin to make good amount of profits, they will sell their positions and take whatever profits they can! I usually don't consider them as a supporter of cryptos. They are just investors and joined the market just to make money!

I accumulated majority of my holdings when the price was at $450, so I am still in huge profit! I'm sure that I'm not going to panic sell, at least not at this moment for sure!

This has fud written all over it, those people did not sell when it was 20k, now suddenly why will they sell it when it's the perfect time to dip in and accumulate at all dips. I had brought in parts in end of 2016, I moved out a bit when it rallied up, but just cause it's come I'm not going to sell, this is the worst time for selling your coins. I would strongly urge people to hodl on to your coins, just a bad phase it to shall pass.
