Well all of the opinions will be different but majority of it are gonna revolve around deposit, withdraw and probably fair because that is what it matters. Pre credit deposit is a something I like about bustabit the most and similarly love the instant withdrawal system (like yolodice has).

Rest of them are just to statisfy community needs and give gamblers a good environment. For me personally I love hitting high multipliers so any dice games that allows me to hit above 99x becomes my favourite along with fast deposit and withdrawal system.

Most dice sites these days are provably fair. I think the only dice site I have encountered that wasn't provably fair was the Yobit dice where I always ended up gambling away all my alt coins that I got depositted from a mining pool when I used to GPU mine new alts back in the day.

Basically I assumed it was bad luck or emotions but later many people complained about the same thing and with it not being provably fair is probably the way they cheated people.

So with that out of the way most people generally go with a dice site that has a reputation and good community feedback such as FJ, PD, Bitsler, etc.

This is why its very difficult these days for a new dice site to gain traction, because most people just use the old and reputable dice sites these days instead of taking a risk and depositing their BTC to a new site which might end up as a scam.
I also suffered losses back then when I'm still new to this industry, I keep playing with my luck using yobit as it is one of the famous exchange where you can do both gambling and trading depending with your choice, but now that there's already a lots of reputative gambling site who offer dice game where you can select what's fitted to your needs and where you can be comfortable playing, just find site where the rules are clearly and the deposit and withdrawal are automatic and if possible no KYC requirements for much quicker and hassle free gambling.

Hey,

I was wondering about Dice games lately and what makes people choose particular platforms to play. I have my own reasons, but I'm really curious if yours are similar.

So my question is: What makes you choose the particular Dice platform and what are the most important aspects that makes you stay on it?

Bests,
bur4n

The most important aspects to consider in 2018 is
 - If they have KYC for withdrawals
 - If the support is responsive and very active on bitcointalk
 - The site - Site is in operation since a few years with no active scam accusations on bitcointalk
 - If their account is tagged as negative on bitcointalk

Every site can be provable fair and stuff but whatever happens, after you win/lose matters more as an overall experience. Choose crypto-games.net over the mediocre dices sites any day!

When a site require a kyc to withdraw then its a no no place to gamble, we don't know what will the site going to do with our id, its great to see the mod active on the forum, it will certainly increase the trust and easier to confirm something, for me its very important that the site got provably fair, got good reputation, fast and easy deposit withdrawal, and good customer support is a must

Its not only yobit dice is not provably fair some of infamous dice site isn't provably fair, and yes most of the people will find trusted dice casino to play, they don't want to try some sites that maybe can runaway with their money, so for the new dice site, it will need time before a lot gamblers go to that site

On-chain provably fair platforms are preferred over anything else.

I assume that's sarcasm?  On-chain gambling has got to be the worst experience you can possibly have. Let's take the one from your signature:

a) Each bet has a high transaction fee cost  (to send, receive, consolidate)

b) It has like a 30% house edge. wtf?!

c) You have to wait an average of 10 minutes to know if you win/lose each bet

d) There's no nice betting UI, and you're constrained what type of bet you can make (only 10x with 1/16 chance of winning)

e) There's no way the site can support high-limit bets, as the entire scheme is vulnerable to block withholding attacks.

The only time I'd consider going anywhere near on-chain betting is if it was trustless (i.e. some of the ethereum designs) and I was betting an absolutely huge amount to justify the shitty UX.

---

To answer the OP, the best sites are one you can can trust. Avoid some of the new flyby night operations, no matter what they promise it's just not worth it. Personally I wouldn't bother on any dicesite other than primedice.com or bustadice.com. Both are popular, (verifiably) honestly run, have good support, and a decent house edge (1%), and most importantly you know even if you win 100+ btc you're going to get paid without any bullshit. Other than that, it's really just a question of which site you think is prettier or something.

the design, the withdrawal time (instant, automatic) and the community (must have some sort of chat)

And good GIF's  Cool

oh god,how I hate the GIFs
this makes me wanna close chat 99.9% of the time
and chat is 79.23% of the reason I play Smiley
duckdice and now dice-bet too , et tu ,Brute  Cry
at least have an option to not display them GIFs in settings, please

Sometimes I want to turn off the gifs too because some people put too flashy gifs in chat and I just like seeing words in general too but I really never said anything about it because it was like okay I guess.

I don't think people really care about the game, the basic stuff with Bitcoin gambling is what's important to us... is the gaming fair, and will we have problems getting our money when we withdraw?

But okay, with dice, it's quite easy. We love autobets, so speed is a factor, and if full speed is given only at high amounts, I don't play. Yes I'm cheap but hey I play all the time and just with pocket money so don't judge;)

Dice edge for BTC is always 1% in the industry, so anything more than that and it's not attractive.

If people do not care about the game then they do not bothering to find any good dice site to play anymore. But until this days people are tend to find good site with good reputation of course instead of getting provably fair and smooth withdrawal. So everything is matters when it comes to gambling though, even tiny little thing still have any affect on the game too

people care about where they gamble
and as the time passes they become more and more choosy and spoiled for choice
4-5 years ago you just could barely find a place to gamble away your hard earned satoshi
when Primedice entered the market and kinda set the industry standard for the dice sites
and since then many good quality sites appeared and the more of them open, the better-competition is one of the things that drives the progress forward

I try pretty much every dice site that hits the market
yes, I like to try them new sites out, they got to be:
1.provably fair
2.trustworthy
3.decent interface that I do not have to ask in chat how to use
these are the minimal requirements for me to start playing there

but to stay, the sites got to have some extras like:
1.community and social aspect- chat, forum,blog,youtube/discord/twitch channel,so a player "lives" there after he finished gambling
2.promotions and giveaways-so if I don't have coins to depo at the moment, I can spend my time there
3.support-I love sites that give answers to your questions ASAP and their stuff is friendly
4.betting speed and variety of games-I'm a diceman myself Smiley but love to try other games from time to time ( #plinkoneveragain)

There won't be any universal answer that is accepted to all, as everyone has their own preferences regarding dice game. I'll first begin with the owner and his reputation in the gambling world, then I would like to see how many payouts have been done or are there complaints of payouts pending. Then it should be a provably fair site, also loading time should be quick, it should have nice graphics, an active community and lastly how much time does it take to deposit and withdraw your earnings.

Trustworthyness - this is major not only in dice but in anything.
Betting speed - I think no one wants website where one bet takes up to one minute, that's very boring.
Design - When you enter on website, nice and attractive design makes you to stay here and feel yourself comfortable.
No KYC - This is something that people want to get rid of.
Faucet - someone likes high faucet on dice websites.
I think I stated major criterions.

I agree with your list, but i'd like to add two very important criteria:

House Edge - Many people underestimate this little number, but they end up chasing losses for years before they give up. I avoid Dice sites with house edge higher than 1%.

Provably Fair system - Always check how your seeds are generated and if it's possible to randomize/customize your client seed without having server seed changed, until the bet is placed.

So you are ignoring about its fairness which should be the most important thing to choose where to gamble your money? Without a doubt design is the first weapon to attract users, but it is not the most important thing if the design is so good but there is no provably fair system.
Aside the provably fair system, I would prefer to choose based on its trust. If the site has good trust rating then I will feel safer and more comfortable to gamble my money.

I take the provably fair system for granted nowadays thats why i didnt mention it
if a dice site doesnt have that system then it shouldnt even exist at all
