Baba, all these wey dey outlined nah good reasons to call person to order but is there no law against the devaluation of the naira? Or them wan yarn say them no dey guilty of these so called laws them put? Abi them dey run d mata unto say nah who them catch dey face penalty?
According to what I saw online, 6 months in prison or a fine of ₦50000 is the punishment. But read what I posted below.

Things such as spraying, hawking, squeezing, writing on the notes, etc, na offence and the punishment be say the offender go spend 6 months in jail or the option of N50k.
Bobrisky was sent to prison for six month without the option of a fine. Cubana Chief Priest was bailed with ₦10 million with 2 sureties. A court case that will lead to ₦5000 fine supposed not to lead to ₦10 million bail I think. This is Nigeria.

So this matter no be violation of human rights, Naira mutilation na offence, but plenty people no know before, but now dem know.
I think option of fine is enough. It can be ₦100000 for rich people and ₦50000 for people that are not rich. Most naira mutilation is done more by the masses which are average and poor people. If they want to see naira mutilation, they should go to the market, vulcanizer shop, mechanic and rewire workshop and other places like that. Also the kids are among.

I have a nature not to rough books and money since I was a kid but I noticed anyone that I give my book or give money to keep it which I will later collect back, they would have been slightly multilated. This is just part of what is happening in Nigeria that only awareness and some strict actions can be effective against but they are not doing anything than going to celebrities. It has no sense because this can not stop naira mutilation.

Mate no be only you this EFCC matter they worry the matter touch everybody as far as is Nigeria, could we imagine person with his own money no fit use am the way like. And the funny be say is not that the time the person is hustle to find the EFCC are there with him bo them them give am the money and they want arrest him punished him just because is spraying the money.

So as it now I know fit attend my friend wedding and spray any money EFCC will is Naira abuse, but for me honestly is not the Naira abuse since is not that I do it intentionally to make proud of my self  is an happiness day which everyone needs to show hands and bring out what He/she have, we  all the value of currency and we do respect to respect our currency.

The thing be say most of this celebrities dey abuse naira, by the time wey u take dey hustle and beg baba God to bless your hustle, you no mean am to dey spray money anywhere you go, those celebrities own is getting out of hand, see orphanage home they can make a donation, many are out there who a lack of foods but that one no dey ever come their mind, they go to the club short down everywhere spray money the way they like, they still dey spend money for people wey don already make am for life. If you see the way Cubana chief Priest dey sprayed money on each event, you go dey wonder if na just barman the man be. Maybe na them the governments dey see and reason everyone of us dey do well for naija oo.  Grin. Since EFCC don start to dey pick them now, i believe say them go dey spend on a lucky.

If you attend your friend wedding and spray money, will you video yourself and post on social media? I know is happy day but i think it is the right time we put senses into ourselves sef. We said we need better naija, so make we agree with anything wey we see that time.

Now to this two people even though they are plenty of their kind that the EFCC needs to take action. But saying Cubana Chief Priest get him right to throw money anyhow is not true, he is in a land that has laws and if you want to live you need to behave like the Romans. If you check well no other country most especially developed countries allows the disrespect that some citizens put on naira notes. This is a national currency you can’t be throwing it out and match it like that. Yes we can argue that they are not the only people and also there people on high places that have done the same but all in all it is wrong to do that
My brother you get point as e no make sense to dey step on currencies like that because you dey try tell people say the naira no get value or respect, that nah true. See the angle I dey come from, I no wan defend wetin him do but make we dey honest, Cubana no for dey do wetin him do if say the naira actually get small value in the first place. Who dey go meet these our oga Dem now wey tins don escalate out of hand because of the devaluation of the naira? You no sopoz look within yourself first before you cast the next person.
If say we contri nah place wey dey folo strict rules shebi e for no tink to do am in the first place but becos e know say Las las nah fine them go fine am and moni go still run hands and the mata go die..that wan nai be judgement?
No blame anybody if them choose to disregard the laws of the contri because if you check, the pipo wey put am nah fail am pass..

Op, Actually there's nothing wrong in spending or using your money anyhow but someone who actually know how long or how hard it took him/her to make the money they will have limit ( I mean the person will mind how he/she will spend and they spend moderately) but someone who don't pass through any stress like physical stress will be spending money anyhow because they doesn't feel any stress when making it. This period people are looking for where to withdrawal money and EFCC saw someone spraying it anyhow they will suspect you definitely because it will be assume you pass through illegal process to get it.

My brother, this mata tire me too becos I take style reason d mata and later come to the conclusion say nah country wey no really get wetin Dem wan use hold hand nah dey carry these kind mata seriously. See nah, no be today the naira begin dey receive abuse and of we check am, no be only we naija big boys dey play with this moni anyhow; for other countries, we dey see am bit we neva hear say their police go arrest them for dollar or other currency abuse but as naija dey use every method to take siphon moni, them use this one put as law.
Cubana chief priest na guy wey dey within him rights to do wetin him want with the cash but it's like these bodies wan show am how to use the money e work for.

Firstly the government on its own get hand for how excess the naira dey because excess printing of this currency na him Dey cause everything and it should be stopped or a counter measure should be taken.

Now to this two people even though they are plenty of their kind that the EFCC needs to take action. Never give up
Is it just me or the actual matter na matter wey I don hear tire about the naira abuse issues but at the end e still dey end up as a matter thats left to die off, although the government this time around is something else and if they can actually carry out what they are protesting against then it's good but if they can't then it's probably another failed agenda of the many that trends in the country but I must commend them sha for working so that the naira will gain value but the only thing now be say person never really see the impact of the change because things still dey worse everyday.

Underestimate- nothing
Me I welcome this idea of fight against naira notes abuse because of the cost in producing those notes and most times those notes get destroyed which will still be returned back to the bank, and the government suffers the cost of maintaining the naira note due to citizens abuse of the national notes.

But then also naira abuse can not be controlled but with the new awareness it will be reduced at least public spray of money will end for both politicians and celebrities.
I agree with you about not giving any respect to naira and with all this occurrences people will learn and know that there is actually law that guides spraying and abuse of naira no one expected it to be taking seriously, i know of other countries taking polices guiding cash serious if you abuse it you will go to jail for it,  because even the way people handle cash damn, the cash will look so ugly it high time we give give value to our money.

And the government can not fixing everything for us we need to be responsible for our self in taking care of our money, if you go to the market you will see all manner of cash, but with this seriousness now will reduce abuse. even with the awareness people will still not learn that is the problem especially in the market they need to give those people good orientation about how to make use of money.

There is actually a lot we believe to had attained to be our personal belongings and rightly, it is ours but there are certain measures some of those our belongings is expected to be utilized which the government do have the right to intrude when necessary.

Little to be mentioned which we can personally own and the government would still have the rights to regulate it are...
* The vehicles

* The licensed assets including our bank account where our funds are stored and so are accessible in concerned of monitoring incoming and outgoing funds there in.

* Landed properties and properties.

* Telecom networks such as your preferred SIM like MTN, Airtel etc.

You can imagine how you could afford all these with your own money and find the needs why the governments has right over them? I hope it is no so stressful to be digressed.
Governments has right even on lives and valuables such as yourself who do not have full right of yourself. Imagine a threat to your own life by yourself and then see how the government Will be in concern of it.

They are just there to main orderliness and making living safe at fare. That is the reason why they have all these regulatory accesses. Lets keep aside that they are being sentimental where they ceases to have equal judgments amongst everyone.

We all saw what happened between Bob Risky and the Cubana Chief priest were they both fall same law of the naira abuse but Bob Risky was sentenced to 6 months jail without bailing conditions while Cubana Chief Priest was placed on bail with #10 million.
That is indeed a  sentimental system of judgement by our government which even them are also victim for the abuse of power.
The issue there is who will the be answerable to if questioned?
Just bad government of ours here and there .

As part of our fundamental human right I believe person wey own property or wealth fit use am the way e want because man get liberty to do anything as long as the thing no go worry another person negatively. I come Dy wonder why EFCC come Dy attack people way they use their money the way dem want.
No b say the person na politician or get appointment to say the money na government money. Man struggle for him own money and anything wey en use am do wey go give am joy  nay e go do. Today I just come stumble over this news d thing come taya me.
Ok make I ask question, what of those yahoo boys wey Dy spray money like this, some Dy even deliberately destroy properties worth millions just for dem to pay for the destruction as a way of show up.

The currencies being spread publicly and watching people stepping on it or even squeezing it stands for abuses, mockery and disregarding of the traditional currency conveying that it doesn't have value to the economy and the society at large.

So it is a slap to the government and the financial sectors even to the economy regulatory authorities that they are regulating invaluable materials. So they constituted the law to respect the naira and use it respectably so that it can also be regarded in the foreign sectors.

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
E be like na the new wave wey EFCC use start work this year be this for real o. It's good sha.

It's good that those caught abusing the currency of this country be brought to attention like as was done with Bobrisky and currently, Cubana Chief priest.
I don't think they are the only defaulters though, but they happen to be very loud and on social media about the event that made them larvish so much funds, instead of gifting it in an envelope, to the couple or to the people organizing the occasion.

I think if we learn to respect our currency more, we would have more value for it and use it to invest rather than to show off to make others envious or jealous of such larvish lifestyle.

I think they are three now. Recently it was Bobrisky. Now it is Cubana Chief Priest.

But there is nothing that will stop naira note abuse. Those seen on video were arrested. Or maybe the EFCC has just started.

Edit: He has been granted bail for ₦10 million with two sureties in like sum
