That would actually be a great idea and I would support such a feature 100%. It's not something I am personally interested in, but I understand how it can be helpful to certain people. If we have a public trust system, I don't see why there would be a problem to create a personal one that doesn't affect the official ratings in any way and remains private. Good suggestion!

Do you guys see this feature as useful from your point of view? I don't know what will be the chance to be implemented here, but I would request it for a Epochtalk feature if more people are interested.
Not sure if I will be able to see Epochtalk in action in my lifetime LOL

Anyway, it would be nice. I would also suggest to have a note option on trust list too. Sometimes we entrust and distrust users for some specific reasons but after a long time when we check our list we can not remember why we did that. An opinion option would be nice.

If you see users who incorrectly use the Trust system, you should consider excluding them from your Trust list.

Well, Just because of your useless afford to understand people how to trust system should work, You were removed from the trust list of lovesmayfamilis last week.

you violated the merit sharing rule with your alternate account.
I don't think it's a forum rule. Allow me to quote theymos (he was talking to a Merit source here);
If a DT member tags you for something stupid involving merit (ie. probably anything less than selling merit), then they're not going to be a DT member for much longer.
And about the Trust system:
The system is for handling trade risk, not for flagging people for good/bad posts/personalities/ideas.
~
 - Leave negative ratings if you actively think that trading with the person is less safe than with a random person.

Don't you fear losing your DT-1 rank? You may get removed from everyone's trust list just because of this.

I find your lack of faith in Bitcoin disturbing.
I asked for the same thing long time ago, however I doubt this will ever be available as standard forum feature in Epochtalk, but you can try asking.

This feature is already in Epochtalk... but only for moderators.
I took these screenshots 3 years ago on the Lulucrypto's forum (dead today)

It should not be too complicated to do the same thing for all users, maybe in a limited version to avoid abuse.

It's definitely possible, several extension (such as MetaMask) use those feature. The real question is, are there any contributor willing to add and maintain such feature?
The local storage is probably not a problem. Just the notes will not be synced between multiple devices.

Synchronization problem could be solved with cloud storage API. But it means more difficult implementation/maintenance (developer side) and longer initial setup (user side).

If OP really wants to save info into browser, maybe a Firefox extension like Very Simple Notepad could help, although I'd prefer a proper local text file.

Might as well install proper note taking application if OP bother install such extension since usually it has more feature.

Some people just use the Trust system as their personal scratchbook.
Honestly, it worries me whenever I see such. The reckless use of the trust system for vendetta and intimidation especially by high ranked members is worrisome. I've come across red tagged accounts whose alleged offences were for spam posting (not even plagiarism) but those who tagged them couldn't put references to the tags.
If you see users who incorrectly use the Trust system, you should consider excluding them from your Trust list. I see you haven't done that yet. The more people make a custom Trust list, the more decentralized it becomes.
See LoyceV's Beginners guide to correct use of the Trust system.

So unless an extension can use local storage or encryption, I don't think it's going to happen.

I also agree that since it's a feature with a rather limited use case, there may not be anybody willing to implement (and maintain) it.

I've come across red tagged accounts whose alleged offences were for spam posting (not even plagiarism) but those who tagged them couldn't put references to the tags. I thought the major reason for tags is scam activities on accounts or for threats to life or some other weighty issues. Aside that, I think other tags should be left as a mark of personal notification and reminder in-line with what OP is advocating. I'm in support of this feature OP seeks.

Back then I proposed that some unofficial extension could be made instead (or BPIP upgraded) with local storage that could be used as better solution, or alternative option with added encryption.
I would support any of this options, so sign me in.

I think your best bet would be to ask adding a feature like this to [β] BPIP Extension: user info & extra features add-on/extension, but I also know they don't want to store any personal data. So unless an extension can use local storage or encryption, I don't think it's going to happen.

I see a feature that will be quite useful for me, to be able to leave private notes on accounts which will be visible only for me, like neutral feedback visible only for me.
I cross so many accounts on a daily basis during my reporting hobby, it's gonna be so much easier if I can leave a note, comment on an account without messing with his trust feedback.
Instead of creating bookmark folders and bookmarking every account to follow, I could just leave a private feedback about the case or links and come back later to continue what I'm doing.
