And another test I tested on the same RIG from the BETA LOLMINER and TEAMREDMINER controllers and there ETC mining goes. In my opinion, neither the WIN10 nor the driver update is to blame. Only in SW PHOENIXMINER is something wrong. Why do these SWs work and this one doesn't?

Team phoenixMiner do something about it, this is not normal :-(

I have exactly the same problem, I tested it on this driver and it didn't work and the BETA driver doesn't work either.

I'm testing a new version and unfortunately still the same problem!

The program turns on and turns off immediately :-(

Hi, I set the virtual memory to 30 to 60Gb as you advised Unfortunately it didn't help

I am new to the this forum and was hoping to find some help with my miner.  I have trouble keeping it online, sometimes it runs for an hour sometimes a day, with the longest ever being 1 week.  When the Phoenix Miner 5.1c does crash sometimes the command prompt window is just closed and other times the computer has rebooted.  Here is my setup.

HP desktop AMD A10, 4GB RAM (have another 4GB ordered), 600W PSU, Windows 10 64-bit.
2x - RX5700 GPU
Radeon driver 20.10.1

I have tried different settings for the cards themselves but nothing has seemed to make a difference, including what I found in previous posts on here, 1350MHz Core, 1750MHz Mem, 780mv.  Thanks for any suggestions anyone has.

Can you post the last 20-25 lines of your logfile after this happens? Maybe we can find some clues there Wink

I did get information for the crash from windows event viewer.  Here are the details.

don't install the stupid driver "settings panel" and use overdriventool with profiles, lower your volts and core and overclock memory and tighten the timings.
also setup machine reboot on 0 hash, and autostart. that's it:)

The new alpha version is ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.2a from here (this is only the Windows version, the Linux version will be ready in a few days):

https://mega.nz/folder/3QMCQJLK#72XiQAn9QGbTMMQW7SMrng  (MEGA)

If you want to check the integrity of the downloaded file, please use the following hashes (you need the last file PhoenixMiner_NVRTC_Windows.zip only if you want to mine BCI with Nvdia cards under Windows):
Code:

The new features in this release are:

  • AMD cards with more than 4 GB RAM will now work without issues until DAG epoch 450
  • Added new -daglim parameter to allow a few more weeks of work for 4 GB AMD Polaris cards. Use -daglim 1 for automatic operation, or specify a concrete value for the maximum DAG size (example: -daglim 4000 will set max DAG size 4000 MB)
  • Added -rxboost parameter (also accessible via -vmr) to boost the performance of GDDR5 based AMD cards (Polaris or earlier)
  • Added memory straps support for AMD Vega cards. Use the -straps command-line option to activate it (example: -straps 1 will activate the lowest strap level)
  • The Nvidia memory timing (straps) option is improved and now is turned off during DAG generation to avoid any possible instability issues
  • Many other small improvements and fixes

Here are some additional notes about the VRAM timing adjustments of Nvidia 10x0 cards:

  • Using -rxboost, -vmr, or -straps on AMD cards requires running as administrator (or as root under Linux), so you need to run PhoenixMiner as administrator for the VRAM timing options to work. Note that the -mt option will still work without running as administrator/root.
  • The -rxboost option is only supported on GDDR5 cards (RX4xx/RX5xx or older).
  • The -daglim option works only on Polaris cards (RX470, RX480, RX570, RX580, RX590). It limit the DAG size to MB to allow mining on 4 GB cards a few weeks after epoch 373 on Windows (or after 384 on Linux). The possible values are the exact DAG limit in MB, or 0 (turn off the DAG limit, this is the default), 1 (automatic DAG limit size, usually around 4005 MB under Windows). Note that the  hashrate will drop significantly with each epoch after the DAG limit is in effect. If the hashrate drops too much (e.g. from 28 MH/s to just 2-3 MH/s, you need to use lower value, for example -daglim 3950
  • The VRAM timing options can be quite different between the GPUs, even when the GPUs are the same model. Therefore, you can (and probably should) specify the VRAM timing options separately for each GPU.

Please note that this is an alpha release, we rushed it because the epoch 374 is just a few hours away and because of the problems with DAG epoch 385 on ETC and AMD cards. Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.2a.

Thats nice:) Thank you! some weirdness on the last GPU, but seems to be working nicely (4008-4009 is the malloc on these 4GB 570 Nitros):

TeamReadMiner with its crazy reset routine can actually fit 374 DAG proper, but somehow if its more than 10GPUs - it's not loading
(also 470 REFS are hashing now fine on teamredminer)

same rigs looked like this before the threshold cross:

19.9.2 and 20.4.2 are ok. (20.9.1 can be somewhat better)

NO WAR ! Glory to Ukraine !
Guys, everyone who did everything right, but the hash rate remained small (for example 1.5), you just need to reboot the pc  Smiley
I added the following to my old bat file
-daglim 1 -dagrestart 1 -eres 0 -rvram 0 -rxboost 1
as a result RX 470 - 26 Mhs
Thanks, Phoenix !
P.S. drivers 19.4.3, 8 Gb ram

The fixes in this release (since 5.2a) include the following:

  • Fixed some issues with allocation failures and crashes with some 8GB AMD cards when mining ETH or ETC
  • The -dagrestart is set to 1 whenever -daglimit is active for 4GB AMD cards

The new features in 5.2a are:

  • AMD cards with more than 4 GB RAM will now work without issues until DAG epoch 450
  • Added new -daglim parameter to allow a few more weeks of work for 4 GB AMD Polaris cards. Use -daglim 1 for automatic operation, or specify a concrete value for the maximum DAG size (example: -daglim 4000 will set max DAG size 4000 MB)

The possible values are the exact DAG limit in MB, or 0 (turn off the DAG limit, this is the default), or 1 (automatic DAG limit size, usually around 4006 MB under Windows). guys.

all 4gb cards can't mining anymore

Mine are all running just fine...on eth...on linux...30 some odd 4gb 570s
Mine rigs are on 5.0e and one is 5.1c.

So appears soon i will need to update the miner.

What is your linux/driver setup?  Having trouble getting linux stable on Ubuntu 20.4
