Hello, I'm testing Phoenix with a 8 mixed AMD RX570/RX580 rig, coming from Claymore. Everything seems good and little bit faster BUT I have one problem when starting the miner: unless I disable the watchdog timer with -wdog 0 , everytime I have the message that one or two GPUs are not responding and the miner resets while creating DAGs. Is there a way to make the wd wait longer or another fix?
Thank you
Try -gser 3 or higher value less than 11

Sorry but it didn't work, always crashing with watchdog activated, anyone? I can't believe it's only me having this issue

what I still don't understand is why is my CPU getting heavy/ lagging when it's only my GPU (1080 ti) working on phoenix
I've set the command line -nvidia so it only mines with nvidia GPU but for some reason my CPU takes a hit

no other miner does this, minergate does not use any CPU, does not lag the CPU, only uses the GPU
same thing with nicehash

is there something I'm doing wrong?
this is my command line:

I am using nanopool.
 "PhoenixMiner.exe -pool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999 -wal YourEthWalletAddress.WorkerName -pass x"

Could someone help me in syntax where to put an email address?

Thank you, I already have -gser 4 so I guess I will try 10 to be on the safe side

Hi Guys,

Getting solid 23.5 to 24 Mh/s, how does these settings look to you? using awesome miner and mining from 12am til 12pm (12 hours) and another 4 hours during the day when idle.

Should i change or not? power consumption has to be low and temperatures @ 62 - 63c is adequate.

I've been trying for hours to get this phoenixminer 4.0b to work on my rig. Running Windows 10 home with 5 amd rx580 cards. 4 of them of which are 8gb and 1 is 4gb vram. What happens is I input all my info into the batch file included even copied and pasted my claymore miner info in the bat file (renaming it to phoenixminer.exe of course)and still nothing. Phoenix is detecting 10 gpu in my rig which I don't understand why when there is only five. Then the command window closes. I am at a total loss, I can get 3.5 working no issues at all. Have switched back to claymore until maybe one of you experts can help me out please?

Here is the log file.

all that i can think of is nvidia driver is issue. tray latest so you can do at least cuda 9 or even try for cuda 10 see what happens.

Look carefully. Already cuda10..

Yup I saw but that is now several months old..

here is latest

https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/141169/en-us

Try it then see. Also do you have any integrated motherboard video cards? If so disable them.

thanks for taking the time, any suggestions?

all that i can think of is nvidia driver is issue. tray latest so you can do at least cuda 9 or even try for cuda 10 see what happens.

Have you tried increasing the virtual memory to something higher? How much ram does this system have?

Also if they are just nvidia based cards try adding -nvidia to your bat.

Seeing your startup command line would help...

Thanks for the reply.

RAM is 12.GB, I added -nvidia unfortunately no luck:

REM
REM Example bat file for starting PhoenixMiner.exe to mine ETH
REM

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

REM IMPORTANT: Replace the ETH address with your own ETH wallet address in the -wal option (Rig002 is the name of the rig)
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555 -pool2 ssl://us1.ethermine.org:5555 -wal XXXX.Rig002 - nvidia
pause

Thanks so much.

There is an error:
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555 -pool2 ssl://us1.ethermine.org:5555 -wal XXXX.Rig002 - nvidia

Should be:
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555 -pool2 ssl://us1.ethermine.org:5555 -wal XXXX.Rig002 -nvidia

Also Ethermines page shows:
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555 -pool2 ssl://us1.ethermine.org:5555 -wal YourEthWalletAddress.WorkerName -proto 3

I would try:
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555 -pool2 ssl://us1.ethermine.org:5555 -wal 0x6b7b526b85F59098c4C9704d4A74b705A743B137.Rig002 -nvidia -coin eth -proto 3

What happens then? If still an issue I have one more idea...

Can you please make option to log only errors to the log file?
If I have watchdog that auto restart miner and also 24+ hours between restarts it would be helpful to debug which cards need underclocking memory.
