Well, with such badly applied / bad quality holograms, I would expect chaos inside that plastic slab as well.
There is still hope guys.

Every single hologram I got back today has either small rips or scuffing on them. If ANACS did not want our business why not just stop accepting the coins?

At least they managed to put the coins straight. I mean, it could be turned in any direction within the slab

I would, but I will have to wait, as these two are not mine, which makes this that much worse.

Send them to ICG for cross grade, that is my plan.  If we do that with a bunch of coins we can get an idea of how the grades compare.

damn, those slab labels and holos look ugly! Isn't there another company in the UK that grades Crypto Coins?

I have been outspoken against ANACS in the past because I think they are terrible at maintaining consistency.  I actually like the new green labels over the ugly yellow ones though and think it's nice they are being honest by pointing out that they have no idea about the actual crypto value.

That being said, those holograms are ridiculous.  Maybe they were trying to get rid of their damaged ones first or something?  I'd send them back to be redone and ask for some sort of future discount for your trouble.  I also agree that finding a replacement that cares about the community, or having someone here with the time and experience to start their own grading service are great ideas.

I just got two coins back today and the holograms look even crappier. I called and talked to "Paul" and gave him a piece of my mind about the delays, the lies, and the SHITTY cracked/scraped up hologram. He offered to fix the holograms if I send them back, however, I made it clear to him that I'm not the only one seeing this, and that he should probably go check his packages going out the door, cuz quality control is utter shit.

Anyhow, it devolved from there - He even offered to just pull the rest of my orders off and just send them back, and I said, "Oh no motherfucker, you guys need to grade those orders, then I'll be done with you, since it's pretty clear you don't give 2 shits about crypto-people. He clearly indicated that he didn't 2 shits about me indeed, so then I Told him "great, I'll be sending back my coins postage-due and that they can also send them back for free, thank you sir! ... Then I just hung up.

Not sure I want to wait another 2 months to fix their stupid mistakes... You should see these two coins, what a fucking joke.

I also told him that the dark green totally sucks, as it's harder to read the black text now... He said that wouldn't be changed either.

So yeah... FUCK ANACS!!!!

Edit - I did ask if I would be charged 29 for the rest, and he said no, 19 it would be for backorders.

IS THIS ACCEPTABLE?

I am pretty sure the bulk of ANACS crypto grading business comes from just a handful of people here on this forum.

Mine are already on the way back to me and they did not charge my card.  Incompetence or did they give me a freebie on 10+ coins?

Those slabs look horrible. It's pretty clear that ANACS could not care less about cryptocoins.

those do look terrible. if we stop using ANACS this will have been wasted money on their end and it should send a strong message from our community.

has anyone ever received an ANACS graded Cas or similar from someone outside of this forum or is it mainly us sending these in and circulating them?

Blazed, I forgot to ask. Do you notice any change in grading standards from your end, unrelated to the crappy looking labels and the shitty holos?

Wow Blazed, they just don't care at all do they?  The fact they sent those to someone who I have to think is one of their largest crypto customers sums up their attitude towards us.

It's pretty terrible.  No two ways about it.  Hoping ICG doesn't get the same idea about bastardizing their label with some dumb disclaimer that likely offers them no real legal protection anyway.
