Despite the fact that the admins have gone AWOL for quite some time now, their site never stopped working and I have been playing on there since the beginning. As long as you don't lose your account info, you are fine imo.

They always have pay out within seconds, even big amounts like 30 BTC, I know other casinos stall big payments and sometimes you have to almost beg them to pay you.
I also get interest on my bitcoin for just keeping them there, so thats every few hours free risk free bitcoin (its not bankroll related, its just interest on the side).
They have one thing going against that, and that is communication, but besides that to me its one of the most trustable casinos so far in BTC, just by track record of paying out.

Well, playtin doesn't fit the definition of a scam perfectly. Many people that lost money through them forgot their quick account creation URL or something like that.

I had some coins deposited there after they had gone awol. The deposit didn't even show up in my account probably because they hadn't maintained the daemons. Somehow it got fixed and I was able to withdraw.

Although the fact that the payout of the dividends is so high again seems pretty unreal now that the devs are awol for so long. So my advice would be to stay away, it's risky to put coins there as long as we don't get any signs that someone maintains the service.

Something of the sort happened to me a couple of years ago. Generally if you do not want to be scammed you should be more careful.

such a long time since the admins have shown any signs of life, yet the dividends are shooting up so high again.

Well, they scammed me good. Maybe they look for the next stupid who buys many shares.  Angry

I cant believe i was that stupid to trust them.

Why is it called "Exchange Wallet Trading" it looks like an ordinary gambling site?
When I read the title of OP I assumed that it was a mix between a gambling site and a altcoin exchange.
Little confusing if you ask me.
If you look inside, it is also an exchange. You can exchange BTC for LTC, DOGE, DRK, amongst other coins. Also of course there is wallets for those altcoins too. Wink

Yes sounds like a good strategy! I used to work for a site that publishes reviews an we always kept our client's contacts.

Don't give up just yet, this is also going to be a longshot but I think you should try contacting websites that have writen about playtin. Most of those websites require a fee to write a review and there should have been some short of communication in order to achieve that. You'll find such websites simply by googling "playtin".

Well, I've emailed PiratePoint (the domain registrant), since they're apparently the last people to successfully communicate with them, telling them to relay my messages to them. It's a long shot, but it's literally the only contact information I have. If I don't get a satisfactory response, I think I can safely say I've been scammed.

I think the only reason the profits could have gone down by that much is the fact that they went awol...

But wouldn't it make more sense they stopped everything completely? I don't think that still many will hope that things get better now. Why let it run if they don't run it still? Others claim they still can withdraw their coins. So the site is still functional. All scams stopped working completely. So i don't see much sense in the fact they still run the site. It would only raise the chance of getting found. So it looks to me more like they are legit but stopped communicating because of the problems. Maybe they got many bad emails.

Wishful thinking maybe but it doesn't yet meet my expectations of a scam fully.

Does anyone know if Jeremiah Haselberg from Piratepoint is a real person? Or a alias for a hidden whois? When googling this this website comes up: http://website.informer.com/Jeremiah+Haselberg+PiratePoint+Ltd..html This once was linked in one of their threads too and the owner laughed about what website he owns according to this. So i think thats only an alias.

Yes, the website is still working. Thats why i see the chance that the founders might be honest persons that only stopped communicating. The problem is they made sure not to be found and explained it with the type of business they run. He claimed it wouldnt even matter when the domain is killed because they would host it on another one simply. That sounds to me like they made sure that they can't be found, they could register a new domain and host things there. If they could be found in person via the domain then they could not do this in the case an authority does not like their business.

In fact im not convinced that they are a scam. There is the chance that a really big player went away and that the profit dropped because of that. At least i think he once mentioned something like a very big player on the site. They calculated profit with some algorithm so that profit spikes were flatted out. Thats why its theoretically possible that a big player went away and the profits dropped linearly from that time.

What i don't like is that they stopped communicating once profits went down. Though that happens with other ventures too. Another thing that looks a bit strange is that the profit drop stopped after i sold my shares. Maybe that was the timeframe they used to flatten out profits over time. The profits now are even lower but it looks like the website is still working.

If they would be a scam then i would think they would stop all things at some point. But it looks like the website is still working fine.

Regardless of how it is. I want to get in contact with the founders and shareholders. I hope i can speak with the founders. If now i want to connect with shareholders.

Zyrio, how accurate is the info from ipaddress.com/? It says the domain'S Expiration Date is 09/26/2014...
That can't be right... for me it's showing 09/26/2015 as the expiration date. Based in Austria.

Registered by 'Jeremiah Haselberg' of 'PiratePoint Ltd'.

Yes, the domain updated date was 09/26/2014 and already extended for one more year.

The website itself is still working. Today I login and still getting daily dividend payments of my little share. That means the website is still generating daily profits. However, the dividend payments are indeed too low for those bought their shares near the peak...

I'm surprised you people didn't try to sell when the price trend reached it's peak.
I actually bought near the peak.

Because i don't even know another investor

Oh, a lucky one. Smiley I invested because of the high yearly yield. So yes, it was at the peak too. Unfortunately i bought without the needed precautions.

Do you have any info about the owners? Do you know a founder or something? I still hope to get in contact since my coins should still be there. Its not a business where you have to spend the coins, they only lie in the house to look good. It would be good to get in contact with someone in charge and find out they are honest persons that only had some bad luck. I don't know what to think about the whois: http://playt.in.ipaddress.com/

Does it mean the whois is private or that we know the owners? If the first case, what do you think is the chance to find out who the owners are? I think at the time they communicated they were nice enough to see the chance that they are no outright scammers. I want to try to speak with them at least.
