Topic: Please share the alt coin you will keep throughout 2018 (Read 329 times)

I personally think it's a good idea to have most of your portfolio in platforms, rather than individual projects. The reason being if there are lots of good projects on a platform it will push the price of the platform up anyway, and you therefore spread your risk a bit. For example, I think the reason ETH is #2 is because the demand for it is very high, because of all of the erc20 tokens that operate on the ethereum network. There are also fewer platforms than dapps (obviously!) so it is much more manageable to research and pick good platforms. I therefore hold a lot of ETH, NEO, EOS and ICX.

I am particularly excited about EOS due to zero transaction fees and the 3 potential revenue streams. They are:

1 - Airdrops. EOS.IO have raised over a billion dollars so far and are funding dapps to launch on their platform. As these new projects are already funded they do not distribute their tokens through an Ico. Instead, what they are doing is distributing tokens to EOS holders. Everipedia is the first and most well known of these, but so far 6 have been announced already.

2. Potential ability to rent your EOS to dapp projects. As EOS transactions are free, the way resources are allocated is very different to other platforms. In order to run on the network projects must hold sufficient EOS for the bandwidth they require. This means that many individual investors that aren't running dapps will be able to rent their tokens to those that require bandwidth in the future.

3. Capital growth. Due to 1 and 2 above, and the fact the platform will be orders of magnitude quicker than ethereum I believe the price of EOS tokens will increase significantly over the year. Another reason why I believe this is that it will be possible for erc20 token projects to transfer over to EOS. As current projects need more tps they will surely do this.

First four are the best pick to hodl even more like 3 years, for me this time will give opportunity to just earn like 3/4x more than you invested.

I will keep holding DeepOnion, Enjin, ufr, rimbit, linda, bitbay,cvc, trx. I think those are all the coins i will hold during 2018, most of them are really good coins like DeepOnion and Enjin. I also have some coins with a really low market cap and im just waiting to see what happen with them.

I will be probably holding many altcoins during this year, but the one I belive will grow the most is Hacken (HKN). I really like it and think cybersecurity projects will be hot this year, since we see more and more hacks in the blockchain space.

My Favorite alt coin is Crestonium. It offers the seamless experience of sending and receiving currency globally at zero cost. Crestonium prides itself as being one of the few cryptocurrencies out there with zero fees . It is on ICO stage now. Don't miss the opportunity go and contribute it.

Dude I'm keeping my eye on Zoin. Still cheap, zerocoin protocol, desktop wallet and wed wallets arrived and mobile wallet is on its way, masternodes also coming up soon. I feel it is a very promising coin.

I couldn't agree more with these altcoins, and also Ripple

I will keep Cardano coin throughout not only 2018, but even longer, because this project will be launched in the couple of years.

Nobody is talking about NEO. If you watch more and more ICOs are building on NEO. Its popularity is rising and is still reasonably low to buy into.

Apart from Bitcoin, I am interested to see the growth in some altcoins and the biggest one is Ethereum so I would hold it not only in 2018 but at least for next 4 to 5 years from now. I do see growth potential in I.O.T + A.I sector for ethereum considering the smart contract feature.

Deep Onion is very stable , is a good choise, Monero also and Dash.

Best coin is Bittttttttttconnecttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt ttttttttttttt, oh wait its gone though. does that make it even more valuable since its not on the market anymore?definitely a coin I will keep.

most frequent question asked by newbies...what is the good coin to invest?what is the best ICO so on... all i have to tell is do your proper research before  invest.if you are a newbie or if you dont have enough knowledge how to do proper research on project you better spend some  time on few projects like CVProof/tron/ripple/wabi/daneel and learn ther concepts and teams behind those projects.(please consider some of them are still ICO) they are few good projects you can consider as your learning materials.actually if you are in a hurry of buying some coins/invest i will recommend you to follow a crypto-genious who personally known by you until you gained some knowledge about how to do a proper research. otherwise most of the posts you have seen in BCT is usually advertisements/coin promotions

I would go for NEO and ETH.

Of course. Most alts are trading at low prices right now, so if you have them it would be a shame selling for 30% of their ATH value.
I have some BCH, BTG, ADA, ETH, LTC and GAME and I believe most if not all of them will gain value this year, at least to reach 60-70% of ATH. I'm not selling them lower it would be a waste of money. I know you probably think alts are worthless, but since I got most of them for free or very cheap I'm not going to miss an opportunity and just throw them away.
