We can't stop them to sell their coin, since only the owners can control bitcoin then we can't do anything. If the purpose is  for trading strategy then there is no problem because the price will rise soon, but if the purpose is to leave bitcoin forever then it qill be bad for bitcoin. This condition is not bad, I am sure the price will rise again.

I hold because risk/reward. Chances are Bitcoin will fail. It has failed in the ability to scale and there are a whole other list of problems that I won't get into. I'm sure most of you know what these are. Under the chances Bitcoin will fight through these problems and succeed, we will all end up very wealthy so it is a good investment still. I've sold some at 18k. I wish I sold more than 11%. But fuck me. I am now buying back more with that same money as it drops.

Opportunities for bitcoin continue to fall still there. People continue to sell their bitcoin probably because of panic the value has fallen so deep. I think it will continue to grow if prices continue to fall.
Great idea i think but we do not know what decisions will be made by those holding bitcoins, I just trust bitcoin and keep holding hoping the bitcoin value will back up soon.

You are right, dont ever be affected by negative news about bitcoin
and I think, the media that gives negative statements, about bitcoin, is the main enemy of bitcoin
be a wise person, especially in receiving news, learn it first, do not be swallowed round

You can't be surprised. So many people moved into BTC, without understanding ANYTHING about it, or how it operates. These "Johnny come lately's" jumped on the band wagon and got burned. BTC will continue down, but within a range for the next year or two. Once these weak hands are all flushed out, we will move higher.

I've been telling you lot for ages to sell up, buy back when it's at 2k.

Hodlers are foolish.

The market goes down because many are FOMO. I think we should try to advise those who own Bitcoin to try #holding instead of selling everything they own. Do not let the whales swallow you in this fear, master the emotions and think about these things.

Current BTC owners probably fall into four groups

1) Those who are using BTC to buy things (probably about 1%)
2) Those who believe in BTC so much that they'd continue to support it even if they made a loss in doing so (about 1%)
3) Those who believe in BTC, but only as long as they make a profit out of it (about 50%).
4) Those who are only in it for the profit (the rest).

It's only when you get rid of the last two categories that BTC will find its real price.

I will not sell my btc. I will wait for it to recover and gain high price again. Just need to relax and do nothing, just wait patiently.

Please, be honest, else is no use: how much BTC do you REALLY have?

Because you know what? It is a big fuckin difference between owning 0.05 BTC ( probably like you ) and owning 120 BTC. Meaning that little puny unicorns like you, have all the right to hold, or to, at least promote this behavior. But what if you invested 500k for a quick profit? Would you say the same, that you are going to hold like a sheep until it reaches 1k or less?

I seriously doubt forum members here, even collectively have much effect on the entire btc market.   Maybe 1% and that's a high estimate.

With you on what, dude? Why is bitcoin a great coin? Because of the hype? The craze? It has ZERO value. And will go to its original value of 5-10$. You just can't beat economics, dude. So stop whining, get a fuckin job. But I suppose only McDonalds will hire experts in crypto like you, whose only job is to speculate and dream of houses in the Bahamas.

Bitcoin prices today is going to down, The price range is 7,000$ - 8,000$ and there is no sign of recovery.
After reaching  9,300$, less than 24 hours later, Bitcoin dropped below 8,000$.
Just before the start of February, the value of the electronic currency fell rapidly to 7,000$, compared with the end of 2017, Bitcoin also lost more than 50% of value.

Every day I see bitcoin going down even more. I don't understand why is it happening. Selling now is betraying the bitcoin's values as well as losing a lot of money. Why don't we all just calm down and at least stop selling our coins? Bitcoin's destiny is in our hands. If we believe it's a great coin then it indeed is a great one. If we tell others how good bitcoin and other coins are then they are going to believe in it themselves and it will help the market to recover.
If we, however, decide that everything is doomed then it indeed will be so! Why not to hope for the better and try to hold (if not buy) our funds, so that we are the ones who win rather than lose?
I am even thinking about making a flash-mob in facebook. For example, we all could post hashtagged message '#iamholdingbtc'. We can change the things for the best. But we do have to believe in it and do something, not just let the stupid news ruin our world.
Who's with me on this?
