^ So I was trying to explain to my work colleagues on what I've been so engrossed about lately (Hint: It's PND). Once I got to the topic of buying and mining, and trying to explain to them the current processes of doing it, you can pretty much see their attention die off. They just didn't get it, and kept asking if there's a simpler way to get "free pandacoins with your computer" or "can't I just use my credit card to buy some?"
VeeMiner here doesn't get the the PND Dev's vision, and that's fine. The PND Devs had clearly stated multiple times that they are not trying to appeal to early adopters that run rampard in this forum. Read the above quote, and try to imagine what your so called innovations will impact on the normal technophobe peeps and see if they care.
And just to be clear, and I feel the need to correct you here - from the looks of the things, PND is getting INNOVATIONS THAT MATTER because crypto will never succeed unless it breaks out and is adopted by the majority-
- World's first main wallet that has an internet banking interface AND functionality so normal technophobe peeps can feel familiar with crypto.
- Packaging and design of a coin that is targeted at the normal technophobe peeps, an all-in-one package coin that is easy to use, easy to obtain and easy to understand, positioned to have a GLOBAL MASS APPEAL.
This is innovation that matters. Whilst every other coin is focusing on creating technologies that the normal technophobe peeps don't give a sh*t about, PND is focusing on the important things first - enabling anyone to get into crypto.
These guys are smart, and they are doing it correctly by defining what a crypto SHOULD BE (simple and easy to use), and then most likely are going to pump out the innovations that early adopters care about after. The other alt coin devs are going have to play catch up the moment PND is successful at reaching the masses.
I would like to see you reply and see if you can refute how the formula for success in crypto ISNT the following -
1) Build solid foundation to capture as much market share as possible away from the current crypto early adopters, by targetting the average peeps
2) Once foundation is set, refine AND adopt coin technologies THAT MATTER to ensure coin remains relevant later
3) Profit
I watch the posts here, and am starting to see more from this awesome community starting to GET IT. You, VeeMiner my friend, are not one of them.My 2 PND
The slogan of "Rethinking Digital Currencies" is just on the ball and so right.
Edit: Don't get me started on China
thanks for an interesting answer. You are right that if PND is able to achieve a coin that's simple to use and be adoptable by masses then they have made a great innovation. So we shall see tomorrow what the developers cooked up. You got me interested again. It's true that not only technical improvements are improvements.
