No problem. Only thing you have to know is that this coin truely has a very fair distribution with 3 months PoW and since May it's PoS
I am also excited to see what the 30th holds. I am all for fair distribution coins! GJ devs.

We're also excited to see the response from the community so the excitement works in both ways Smiley

I believe the owner of this address is funding the coin development.

PDSFKpwjHgdeDjJRS2dVfBvV2SSuspjHbe

WTF over 6 billion coins in one address, isn't that like 20% of the entire supply?

It's Mintpals cold storage address. Quite normal if you consider that's our main exchange and 90%+ of the trades happen there.
But again, nice try Smiley

Does that address stake though?

No, they do not stake their wallet, they don't stake for any coin except for 1 where the devs asked them to do it (don't remember which one)

Thanks for your answers guys, that makes me feel a bit more at ease.

And it's cold storage which means that if hackers hack Mintpal they will still not be able to steal those coins. No Vericoin disaster.

Confirmation that the current top Pandacoin (PND) address belongs to the Mintpal Exchange

One of our devs (Linux_Mint_Pal) got in contact with Jay, one of the owners and operators of the Mintpal Exchange and confirmed that the top PND address belongs to the exchange as a method of cold storage.

That is good to know, do they benefit from staking on that wallet?

So imagine you spend a day conducting a survey towards the average Joe's and Larry's out there, and asking them to name all the decentralized digital currencies that they know of. How many of them would you think could name more than just Bitcoin and/or perhaps Dogecoin? Most would react to the question with "decentralized-wha?".

The market segment that I've highlighted in my above example would have no clue about any of the 1000's of clone coins. PND is aimed at appealing to those that are outside of early crypto adopters like yourself, myself and the typical crowd that frequents this forum.

^ This. Most people forget about this and get trapped into the mentality of trying to find coins that appeals to early adopters like us.

This is very true. The coin that can expand outside of bct is the coin that will survive and keep growing.

Hey guys i think that pandacoin is a good place to invest since they will have a surprise feature coming this august 30
they also have investing procedures

just visit their website here for more info: http://pandacoinpnd.org/

It is a PoS coin with over 32 billion coins. I would also be releasing new development so I can keep dumping my stakes onto the market and keep my Capital intact. No electricity spent. Win/Win

Then buy some then. Wink

It all sounds good, I remember tagcoin started off with a dev team of around 16 people but it seems not many people took onto the idea and was backed by a wealthy business owner. I wish you guys much better success then tagcoin who are a honest coin.

Rethinking Digital Currency

Bitcoin, the world’s first decentralized digital currency, was launched in 2009. It was the prototype that introduced and demonstrated to the world the potential benefits and usages of a decentralized digital currency. However, digital currencies are still in their infant stages and have yet to see widespread mainstream adoption and usage as a unit of exchange both online and offline. There is a need to rethink the current approach to the design and marketing of digital currencies in order to achieve a global mass appeal.

August 30th

On the 30th of August the Pandacoin (PND) development team will unveil and release the highly anticipated set of major development updates to Pandacoin. The founders, developers, and architects of Pandacoin (PND) endeavor to redefine the current space with this set of major development updates, and be positioned to become the future digital currency of choice for the masses.

The way I see things is PND will be in direct competition with Dogecoin with similar large supplies. IE Not enough BTC to keep prices really high but price can still be 3 times higher then Doge. 91 billion / 32 Billion.

This is just very positive speculation, I think Doge has the biggest community by far outside of BTC and Litecoin.

We are not in competition with Dogecoin. Dogecoin has been going down for months now, they are a meme, they don't have POS and their devs are not as active as ours and aiming for a global market. The comparison doesn't make any sense.

There is a good reason why we chose 32 billion supply: Would you rather get 0.001 of coin x or 1 of coin x.
Low coin supply just makes the coin a commodity and not a currency. We aim to be a currency.

I agree with your sentiment. That is what cryptos should be used for. I bought a bit of PND now, I am also invested in Guldencoin as both your coins are spreading to the masses. Which is the right thing to do. Although PND will really battle to be taken on by serious business because of the name, I do believe it will have a niche market that will keep it strong.

The name won't be a problem at all.

"Panda" could easily be the name of a fiat currency in some Southeast Asian country.

The coin's design definitely looks like "real money" from some small rich sunny tropical former British colony with a large Chinese minority.

There is absolutely nothing meme-like about the coin's artwork, symbolism or design.

Panda enthusiasts who post pictures of cute Pandas are doing so out of their own desire.

Although those images add a happy, fun and lite hearted atmosphere to the thread they are not as far (as I know know) officially sought after or sanctioned.

Even so, we need more happy panda pics to offset this boring (although necessary) business talk!
