Puszcza Niepołomice is a bit of a Cinderella story. A small club from a small town (around 16,000 people), they don't even have a proper stadium eligible to host Ekstraklasa games, so they have to play on other club's (Cracovia) ground instead. But yet, they made it to the top league and managed to avoid relegation last season. I don't know much about them but I found myself rooting for Puszcza, as we all tend to have more sympathy for underdogs.
But things are not looking great for them at the moment. They've lost 5 games in a row and are at the very bottom of the table. On a positive note, there are still plenty of games left and they're only 3 points away from the safe 15th place.

After 6 rounds we have no clear dominating leader, all the top teams have lost some points already. The current champions, Jagiellonia are currently in a distant 8th place but have one more game to play. After a disappointing Champions League qualifiers (badly beaten by Bodo/Glimt) and the unfortunate 1 leg Europa League playoff loss to Ajax (4-1) at home, they'll be traveling to Amsterdam for a 2nd leg, but it's a formality at this point as I don't believe anyone is hoping for a win. I wish them well though.
