Gamblers love this, especially if they have been betting on politics but from other countries, but it's still up to the providers if they will consider adding online betting for local politics. One of the best way to get this betting available soon is to request it to your respective sportsbook, and that sportsbook will forward the request to their odds market.

US Presidential Election 2020 is heavily discussed here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/us-presidential-election-2020-5237990

What OP is trying to discuss is on the local political betting be given a chance to be listed in sportsbook, it's already given that USA will be in sportsbook as they are a big country and there's a lot of interest of betting from its people and even outside their country.
That's not how I understood his post. He was asking for gambling websites in different countries that offers political betting so other gamblers can also bet on them. He mentioned counties and USA is one country that's why I posted the discussion on US Presidential Election. In addition, I also provided a link that offers political betting in other countries.

What does local political betting even mean? Governors and Mayors?

Now this one is better, I mean should be better than Sports Betting in my opinion. Because it not only let you bet your winning candidate, but it also give a thrill on what to expect will happen in the political landscape in your county for the next few years or decades. Why not we post our countries popular websites and platforms here so that everybody, especially the political aficionado in us will be able to visit and possibly bet. Unfortunately in our little corner of the world, I do not know why I cannot find anything about political betting when politics is a messy affair. Anyway hope you can share what you visit.
I don't think many gambling sites will include political betting because elections include surveys and from those survey, you can bet who will likely win in the election if there are no surveys to mess the election results it's easy to integrate that to any gambling sites, most of these survey companies are accurate in their predictions.
I found a gambling site that offers Political betting https://www.betfair.com/sport/politics
I don't know if they accept cryptocurrencies.

Unfortunately political betting is only possible for big countries I guess, I like to bet on what candidate will win during election in our country but it's not present in any sportsbook, most of the betting odds available are from country such as the USA.

Not sure why, but I think if sports book will add more countries then they can get more gamblers and that would improve their revenue, I know they just rely on the odds providers, so hopefully odds providers will consider this as one of the event they will add so we can all have a chance to bet. If they can add our local sports like basketball, then I think it's possible to add local political betting though it happens, every 3 to 5 years only.

The surveys won't tell you the exact results of the election and therefore some sites do offer betting on the political elections. You can visit freebitco.in which offer this type of betting on US presidential elections.

I don't know any site that is offering local political betting service. Though in my country, it's very obvious what stand mostly people have especially we are now in a crisis. It's like you will see half of the people hate our current president, while the other half are supporters of him. I am also not sure if it will be a thing since right now, gambling is banned temporarily and most adults here prefer traditional gambling than online.

Personally, I don't and have not tried betting about any related political issue because for me it's not a game. I'm fine with people making bets about it but I don't find the excitement not thrill about it especially when it's a serious matter. I also think other political issues are for the longer term so it's hard to predict what will happen in the future.

I think you are talking about the current situation going on in the world.I think it is a good idea if gambling casinos start to offer this kind of betting as it can be beautiful to bet on this kind of events. For example some countries in Europe are opening borders on May 29 some others are still thinking and betting when a certain country will reopen its borders.

Betting can be done on anything but i don't think people will be interested in this type of betting. Political betting is only interesting if it is limited to who will win the elections. I don't like the idea of betting on date of opening of borders or ending of lockdown etc.

I remember that I read an article before that there is gambling about politics on the mid-year of 1990s which is rapidly becoming popular they are predicting the winner of the upcoming election on that year the gambling is still legal and there is no too much restriction. Then I found some research because of getting curious about the OPs topic then I found out that the year is 1980-90, that they are betting if the currently running will going to be re-elected or will change.

According to this article but in gambling with the ballot box, they are betting who will win the election with a particular odds too like the modern trading we have today.

My friend, we live in a country where sports betting is not yet allowed. Also, if there is a political bet, everything may get harder in the country. I think it would be sufficient to allow trading with reasonable rules instead of sports betting. Policy is a bit complicated and short-term betting is never possible. Because the results are mostly long term in policy.
