It is not an easy route to make changes, but it is achievable. One thing that needs to happen is for Nigerians to unite and demand change. This might be accomplished through strikes promotion, and voting for the appropriate leaders. It's also critical to hold leaders responsible for their activities and ensure that they're open and honest. Furthermore, it is critical to encourage education and economic opportunity for all so that everyone has a chance to prosper. It is also critical to prioritize creating new infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and airports, as well as to invest in energy sources that are renewable.

Apart from Godfatherism I don't regard any other problems you listed here because it's obvious that not only Nigeria has this problems. And why is this here and not our local board? Perhaps other countries discusses issues like this in their local boards.

But anyways, I will contribute my own ideas here. Godfatherism is one major issue that has eating deep down our Nigeria politics, governmental positions are not occupied by people who are capable of handling them rather they choose who have served them enough and settle them with a position that someone has been aspiring for and most have gotten enough knowledge to handle the position but no because of Godfatherism it not possible anymore.

The problem now is that alot of youths are still under this category of Godfatherism and hence they are not ready to change from those people whom have ruined the country for over years yet they stick with them and betray their fellow youths.

Are you fucking kidding... is it in Nigeria alone you can find something like this with the people in practice, is there no corruption everywhere, are people not showing tribalism in other countries, the issue of godfatherism is not something new as we are all used to that already, its not everything that you see happens in the physical that doesn't have any background influence of those in caliber, maybe you start by checking your own self as well if your not found with any of the listed political problems even though you may happens not to be a politician.

Nigeria is regarded as one of the fastest developing nations in Africa, nigeria ranks 144th most corrupt country in the 180 countries listed in the transparency International corruption index.
There is no doubt, there are problems or challenges facing the nigeria politics.
(1)GODFATHERISM
Godfathers are political sponsors who uses money and influence to win election for there preferable candidates.Godfathers are those who have been in the system(politics)for years, they can manipulate results and appoints candidates they want into political positions. When this candidates get into power they can't be free taking decisions on there own, except those ones that will eventually breaks out.A solution to this problem that policies should be put in place to ensures transparent election so as to put godfathers useless.

(2)CORRUPTION
Corruptions remains a problem in nigeria and also politics as well, and it is also global, causes of corruption are;
*greed
*tribalism
*nepotism, corruption is in facts not only political problems, it also takes place in the society, economy, churches, place of work etc.

(3)TRIBALISM
Tribalism has been the cause of war, electoral malpractice, political instability in nigeria, citizens loose there sense of reasoning and vote person into power not considering if he or she is capable of leadership, they do it because of tribalism sentiment.etc

In conclusion corruption have started since before we are born, but just that it is getting out of hand, we know it is not easy to fight it, but we are calling on the government to give a good example and a good leadership, and also enforce a law to face when you are a victim...

The current problem in Nigeria has been happening in my country for a long time. My country is not politically transparent, people in power can do everything in this country. In politics, one must listen to what the people in power say. They are always cheating in the name of giving elections. In my country, no election campaign goes properly and even if it does, only the people in power continue to campaign in the election, the opposition parties cannot participate in the election campaign. In short, the problem that has arisen in Nigeria is something that we are constantly thinking about. Even if other countries put pressure on my country's government, my country's government doesn't mind that pressure. But of course, if we see that these problems will be solved, even if we see it late, we will definitely see it someday because power is never permanent.

corruption is the problem most countries in the world face. in my own country alone, here there has only been one major corruption case which has cost the country tens of billions of dollars, and that is just one corruption case, there are still many other corruption cases which continue to be processed by the prosecutor's office. this is a sad thing, that money that should be used for the welfare of the people and the country is used by these bastards for their own pleasure. they don't care about how their country is destroyed because of their corruption, what they care about is only their own wealth.

It is not expected that the condition of the people of the country which is affected by godfatherism, corruption, tribalism will be better.  Because they are enough to destroy a country.  It is understood from these that how much hardship and misery the citizens live here.  Because when a country is in the grip of corruption, it is not possible to expect any improvement in that country.  Because the leaders of the country care more about their own power than the people of the country.  These problems are a curse for a little country.
If the problem of corruption in Nigeria can be settled, things would be okay and the citizens wouod not be suffering running to other countries for survival. I just hope the politicians would be able to see from afar and settle the problems that is going on in their various countries. Many citizens are suffering in different countries of the world because of same issues with politicians not doing their work well to make sure that their citizens do not continue suffering and crying for jobs and how to feed themselves.

I believe that one of the most difficult hurdles in resolving these issues is a loss of faith in the government and institutions. When individuals do not believe the system is fair or that their concerns will be heard, it can be difficult to achieve significant progress. It is equally critical to emphasize on the good elements of change. Even if it is impossible to create a significant shift, even modest changes may have an impact. It is also important to enjoy minor victories and continue working toward larger goals, although individuals might become discouraged if they do not see instant results, but bear in mind that change takes time.

Op all what you is so true in the Nigeria system, it's so pained that the problems might not end so soon, we have always been complaining yet our voices are not been heard, Godfatherism, Corruption, Tribalism, are issues affecting Nigeria from time past and till now it's still a major problem which there is solutions yet it can't be implemented because of the greed of our leaders,
Godfatherism has made people who are in government before to bring up someone they can control into government, so they can control them and still have to make decisions in the country, which is so wrong,
Corruption has become something that seen as been smart, were you see people bribing to win an election, and call it stategy,
Tribalism will make people choose who is to not capable to rule over someone whose capable maybe because they are not of the same culture or maybe language and it's all wrong because it not helping us at all, I just wish Nigerias can shun all this problems and do the right things for once...

Nepotism is not left out in Nigeria, most problems with politics in Nigeria are that people vote for parties and not the individual, and seriously we sell our rights from the bribes given during the election processes
Many people who vote in Nigeria they don't vote for party them both for individuals so that is why the past election of Nigeria change so I don't believe that some point or statement many people make history concerning Nigerian politics even in another country to you come be serious in political group but you are not serious for the individual contesting for such a political group or party so what happened in Nigeria where by people democratic party many of the party member refused to support the opposition candidate

Nigeria has much political problems both the masses and the leaders, they both contribute in the political problems due to corrupted mindset, the rich or politicians gave money and bribe to the masses and the masses too are always willing to accept it, this is elements of poor political system because at the end the masses regrets and suffer hardship while the rich or rulers ignore and denied them, they also failed to keep their promises made before they got into power. Then both the economy and country suffer the consequences due to failure to choose capable and good leader. Then the country suffer and lost opportunity to grow and develop due to political leaders who does not have vision to govern the people.

These problems are self-made and the solutions are within us. You can't be robbing a regions for another, milking the ND to service governments in the north. Killing seaport activities in the Niger Delta to favour activities of same in the southwest. Artisanal mining in the north and prohibition of same in the south.

There's no any regional segregation that should be tolerated because everyone has their right to claim what they want, let us be mindful of how we handles political affairs because they are what we anticipated for in seeing them delivering upto expectation, the strong power in politics is mostly felt while they are yet to emerge their political positions and after they are declared into power, political challenges is what is common in most places and not your country alone.

Hey there, I completely agree with you on the political issues in Nigeria. Corruption and godfatherism have plagued the country's politics for a long time, and it's time for us to take action. I think it's essential to put policies in place to ensure transparent elections and prevent godfathers from manipulating the results. As for corruption, it's a global problem, but we should strive to eliminate it in Nigeria's politics. By doing so, we can promote good governance and ensure that the right people are in power to make positive changes for the country.

That problem is not only happening in your country, it is happening in my country as well. What I would like to ask is who is going to take action and fix these things. Political power is in the hands of a few, and we are ordinary citizens, we have no voice, and no one listens. Everyone knows that the government is rotten and rotten, but everyone is afraid to die, and no one will dare to stand up against them. There is nothing we can do but wait for a miracle that will change everything.

In my country, when talking to each other, everyone wants to change things and come up with a lot of good ideas, but when asked who will stand up against the government, all are silent.

The problem in developing countries is that people are not aware enough that during elections it is very important to elect people who have good records in political careers, not people who are just known or come to villages or towns to campaign to share their vision and missions as well as during campaigns to give money because it is clear that such a politician will take back the money by means of corruption.
Educating the public that it will be able to bring changes to politics in the future does indeed take time and it may take 1-2 generations until there is a change for the better for the country, so it is like an investment so that the next generation can have a better life.

Nigeria is a country were the leaders are not made by election but I would say they are been selected the level  of operation In Nigeria politics is a do or die affair it has been to my notice that the politicians only carry out project of their own interests  and in the case of tribalism this has been a problem we have to fight against as a country tribalism has left some people unemployed while others are stranded because there is no job and if there is any it will be given via tribalism I think the level of greed is eaten up the country and this has to be stopped

Corruption has eaten deep in the political system of Nigeria, no one to trust with public funds, everyone aim at stealing the public treasures. And we keep voting people with corruption cases. The citizens ignorances are always part of the problem we're facing in this country. They impoverished us so they can use a little dime to buy our heart doing a election and we keep voting them.

Perhaps that is why Bitcoin has become so popular in that country?
I assume the high degree of mistrust in the public administration has pushed many within the population to move their money into Bitcoin, so decisions made by bureaucrats in power cannot affect as much their savings and economical plans.

Because, if your politicians are as bad as you are saying, it sounds logic no one would ever be happy giving them the power to manage the destiny of their local currency.  Huh

Reminds me much of what is currently going on here in Venezuela, our politicians are very bad.  Roll Eyes

The Nigeria politics is unique to the people. And Nigeria deserve her kind of leaders. Nobody is elected into office based on merit, it's always tied to godfatherism, one's ability to buy votes and thuggery. Ethnic and religious concerns only arises at the national sphere supported by state warlords who holding their domains at their groins.
