I really can't explain how Dot token moved from position 2155 to position 10 in less than a month, it beats my imagination, because I know the total supply is about 200 million and its most likely that there are either whales holding the tokens or the tokens in circulation are reduced to help keep the value on check.

I respect polkadot as an authentic project and maybe after a long time we are seeing an authentic project with innovation and advanced services for crypto and blockchain but it is too early to call it a winner and nam8ng it as the best. I know dot tokens have been experiencing a massive increase in liquidity lately. I noticed they're the top gainers in some exchange today. I really don't have information about the project, but it's surely taking the cryptocurrency space by storm. I hope that the project does not rest on her mission to become a contender with ethereum.

Polkadot is not that new, but started trading on BNB recently, and that is why it surged to top 10, because all coin tracking websites actually put circulation supply token numbers and then market capitalization that was unknown surged to mark their spot within top 10

It's surely a new coin as I never heard of this before, and it's not right to think that a new coin that just recently pumped up would already become a thread to ETH. It might have a better system (smart contract) than ETH but it would not beat the community that supported ETH which was established through time.

Quite confuse on the two, that showed my first time to know this coin.
I need to get serious with Polkdot and the tokens launched on its platform. When friends were drawing my attention to it, I didn't feel any need to invest in it, I may as well be looking at it and hope I don't end up buying the top. But why was the coin re-dominated? And its effect on future growth.
Personally i expect a lot from the polkadot, the project brings a cross-chain solution to the market, and that will be in great demand in the future. They prepared for a long time, but finally started
Actually Ive been a follower of polkadot. The price seems okay and judging from the current market is reasonable to be on top mcap easily as the coin has been traded on top market with huge volume.I can see that whales are finally shifting to dot and probably setting up position. There are too many altcoins that needed to be keep on check. Cmc details are sometimes flawed and displaying wrong information. But in my opinion, its natural for dot to be on the top already.
But dont ecpect accuracy since the coin has been redominated from the old dot.

well 2 years is long enough to prove their capability to bring progress about the project and the team. 
I think it's just a bug from CMC, currently Polkadot New is at Rank 2155. I didn't follow Polkadot but for a moment I was shocked when Polkadot was in the Top 10 position, I didn't follow Polkadot. And for Polkadot members/hodlers, hope you find success there.
The total MCAP is not yet calculated but when you were visiting another site like coingecko and you will see how much the real mcap of this coin. This coin is the same as EOS which used the total supply to make it placed at the top price.

how old is this project, can you please give me brief highlights about this project, or maybe point me to the right direction to understand the details about Polkadot, the name sounds catchy!!!

OR, maybe it is because of the support of the community and the developers that are working hard enough to show the world that any coin can break the top 10 barrier if the team is dedicated enough to work that hard. In the end their efforts have paid off really well for now. 
That's quite impressive actually, not that many alt can push forward that high up to top 10. Especially lately polkadot has been quite in the high ground for being a good project platform, or so they say. I've been hearing about polkadot a lot lately and I think it's no wonder then. Well, we'll see how far this one can go and might be another great alt to surpass the others above it.

I am not following its price action closely but Polkadot (New) being at #2155 does not mean it is actually at this rank, it means that its circulating supply is not yet known/entered (at least on CMC). But as I see on Coingecko, it is in fact at #9, so it was not a bug on CMC. I expect DOT being in the top 5 in the future, its a huge project.

Only rare projects can open up crosschain opeability. How many projects can build a bridge from different network? I think thats where they are going to advance. We can see the demand and performance of all polka grouo projects on their substrate and clearly investors are favoring these. Take a good example sor, mantradao, and any line up on polka ecosystem.Not sure but I think they are gonna be the trend following these defi hype. Binance top leading coin for now is dot. So check to believe, review yourself and see if its worth a penny or just simply another hype project that cryptomarket buzzing now.
