What you are saying is not quite right, where is it possible that Polkadot can replace Ethereum, you need to look at current market conditions, it is very unlikely that polkadot can replace ethereum.

If you say polka-dot is your favorite coin, that's fine, this is your opinion, but it doesn't represent the correct results of study and analysis in my view, polka-dot has not provided the best value for now.

In my opinion, in terms of price competition, it is possible that in the long run Polkadot's price will beat the price of Ethereum. But if it says Polkadot is going to be the next Ethereum, I think it's hard to happen because there were a lot of other altcoins before Polkadot that said it would be the next Ethereum but in reality they couldn't. Therefore Ethereum will remain the king of altcoins and no one can replace it because ethereum is already very well known and has strong fundamentals and the Ethereum platform is more established with many projects already underway.

Agreed and people become over rated with DOT. So many projects were still using BSC, ethereum and matic instead try to build their defi app on the DOT as it much more complicated.
I would like to say that the adoption for DOT by the developers are still low compared with the second layer solution of ethereum.
It's too early saying dot the next ethereum.

I am so sure that Polkadot has a good future in the cryptocurrency industry and this will be a valued platform into the future. However, to say that it can be the next Ethereum is actually a misnomer because as for me there is nothing that can replace Ethereum even right now that it is still affected by the curse of its own incredibly high transaction fee. Just imagine, what can happen when Ethereum can be able to solve this problem which is related to scalability then we can see that assumed competitors can have a hard time getting the attention and trust of the general market. Now, having said that, I think Polkadot know this and they are carving their own niche in this expanding market so that all can come out to be winners at the end.

Polkadot is a very great project since last Two years I've been following up. Polkadot really grew so fast and made a 100x in price and I think that's not happening again.
They're many projects within us that has much potential than Polkadot. Sorry mate am going against you bought no doubt Polkadot was one of the best but can't keep that position for too long and they can't be or replace Ethereum. I know of another good project that can deliver more and better which is the Octopus network on NEAR protocol. NEAR to me is the best substitute for Ethereum.

Polkadot is definitely one of best and biggest projects with the most potential that came out in the last two years. The hype around polkadot was massive and it still is kind of but it slowed down a little, which is normal. The thing with polkadot is that the price already made a x100 or more if i remember correctly so you always need to consider this too before an investment. Does Polkadot still has some room to grow? Probably yes, but is there still room for another 100x... i am not really sure about that. Another point that i don't really like about the polkadot tokenomics are that the supply is unlimited, which is never a good thing if you want the price of an asset to increase.

Polkadot still young and need to evolve more to be the next Ethereum, its not easy to be copy or replace the Ethereum. I would say Polkadot will cover what Ethereum did not have, not replace it in the future. Every coin have their own superiority on their field, and not easy to make Ethereum's believer to move to other coin.

I feel that ETH is one of the most difficult Altcoins to compare with other coins, including the Polkadot you mentioned. If BNB is said to be the next Ethereum, it could be close. If Polkadot is going to be the next Ethereum, what power does it have that it deserves to be the next ETH.

Polkadot is good but we all knew how big is ethereum. It could be leveled as next contender but Im not sure whether they can replace ethereum that easily. There are lots of users on ethereum network and we can see how it continously growing in spite of some issues on their end.

I have some polkadot before but already sell some during its high. I am looking forward to bag some dot again if the market pullback on my current entry level. I can see a boom on polkadot ecosystem and mass community will also attracted to it.

DOT is only good to be used as an investment in long term but it will never replace ethereum. It can't even compete with BSC

DOT is a legit successor to ethereum because of its purpose of putting blockchains to work seamlessly. Interoperability is the vision of DOT, though it is ambitious, it will be achieved to take advantage blockchain technology much like Internet has done to millions of PCs. BSC on the other hand has really just rely on what Ethereum has to offer, copied it and make it a cheaper options for developers and users. It will be a long way to go but DOT has initiative to work on interoperable blockchains.

Palkodot have got various advantageous features in its blockchain that isn't available with other blockchain. In terms of real-time usage it'll reach good userbase in the falling years. If there is no update from the rest of the altcoins/ethereum then palkodot can take the position of ethereum. For now such scenario isn't prevailing. There is regular update with the platforms. Even today ethereum has undergone a major upgrade.

Palkodot as an investment for long term gives assured profit, but it isn't easy thing to take the position of ethereum.

I'm not so sure polka dots can replace Ethereum either now or in the long term, this is highly unlikely for any reason, today Ethereum is the second best in crypto, it's not an easy thing to overtake them at the moment.

You have to think about other issues and I make sure your assumptions are not fundamentally wrong, if the polka dot is one of your favorite coins I support it, I hope you get big profits from this coin, by making good investments and involving proper analysis in investing in polka dots.

if it becomes one of your favorites, it doesn't mean what you feel and want will be achieved, if to replace ethereum, I think it's still far from the calculation that will be used as a benchmark. but if you say in the long run it can reach as much as ethereum in value, it's possible and nothing is impossible in crypto.

but whether polka dots can and are able to do that will certainly be seen from the one who regulates them, whether they are able to make investors want to make polka dots an investment that continues to be traded and is very profitable. With the value achieved now and the market cap obtained, it seems that polkadot need to work hard and don't know when your goals will be achieved.
