The only guy who can make or break Bitcoin is Satoshi. You can learn a lot about a person's motive by what he says about Satoshi.
It is his ideas that matter, the result of his work. It does not matter who he/she or they is or are. It would be nice to know and to know for sure. But just like a lot of things it does not matter who thought of it, it is nice to be appreciated. It is nice to be inspired by Satoshi, or any other person, Tesla, Bell, Edison, Arthur, Jesus. But does it really matter? It is the stories and the results that count today and in the future when the person in question is long gone!
It is absolutely very much important for everyone to know who Satoshi is... I know he made Bitcoin to let everyone remain anonymous, but who doesn't want to know such an innovative face behind an awesome technology???

What would you think if someone tried to sell you something that keeps you anonymous and they are not anonymous?
So, being anonymous obviously helps with the promotion, right?
It does, but as said, it was Satoshi who created BTC and BTC has a face now, but Satoshi doesn't...
He just gave it as a gift and left everyone, which is why everyone out there is eager to know who that great personality is...

If you knew who Satoshi was, you might not be interested in Bitcoin that much for various reasons.
Agreed, but there were many people either who tried to grab the attention by saying they were Satoshi or they were given that name by some other popular names who thought that these might be the ones behind... No one really knows who Satoshi is...
I think he will himself come ahead one day and show his face in public... I think Satoshi's anonymity might be because if he comes out, it might be a threat to his life as many enemies are also waiting for him to get out of this industry...

Why would it? It doesn't discredit his idea in any way, but maybe this is why it's a good reason he stays anon so bitcoin is kept separate from any drama or criticisms that may arise.
It's not about discrediting his idea.
It's more about the thought of how all that 1M+ coins would be used if that were the case.

Yeah that's make sense, he even made a Cryptocurreny that totally anonymous. Then why should we (the users) know who is he, we all are anonymous Bitcoin user
He could be threatened by people demanding ransoms too.
The guy has an absolutely insane amount of coins, probably in cold storage, people could kidnap his family members, threaten him.
He'd need security like an A list celeb, by revealing himself he wouldn't be able to live a normal life.
I don't blame him for wanting to be anonymous at all.
Most A-list celebrities or other millionaire entrepreneurs don't have security or get threats or whatever so I don't understand why satoshi would suddenly be a target. He probably just values his anonymity like many of us do on here already. Maybe he wasn't sure of the possible legal ramifications of creating such a currency either.

But why would it matter? It's just a name and would your life be better of if you knew it? It would probably be a disappointment anywhere and ruins the whole mystery or enigma of him.

Yes, I think Satoshi is not a person. Satoshi is a group with have superior brains and i want to meet with them.
